I've compiled a kernel for my device most of think working exepted usb host , sdcard mount , and camera (sourcery if for my device too , nothing ported).its wiko cink peax 2 mtk 6589 device and the main camera name is ov8825-truly-MM a 8mpx camera launching but not showing the good color its dark , and in full daylight its showing in green colors.

So I rooted for the first time today, and tried to install Hydra Kernel's #1 & #3 kernels. The system seems completely stable with each kernel, except when I open the Camera app, the camera view is completely blank. Almost as if something was blocking the lens. Then when I try and take a photo, it locks up. I tried closing all apps, and restarting the camera, but this didn't work. Once I run a Nandroid restore prior to installing the kernels, the camera works fine.
View 7 Replies View Relatedlast week i installed the leaked OTA and i really like it so i decided to stick with it. I have been debating for a while whether or not to root. Well today i finally took the plunge and had zero issues. Then i decided to install the 1.15 ghz OC Hydra Kernel and it is awesome, makes the phone really snappy. I havent seen any lag at all. Well the only issue i have found is my camera wont work. I open it and it is just a black screen. At first i do have my normal options, i can choose everything on the left slider and the zoom, flash buttons. Also i noticed the brightness gets turned up. But its like there is a lens cap on it. It does not display anything the lens is seeing. I tried rebooting and it still did the same thing. Is this possibly becuase i installed the leaked OTA first and the Kernel is not compatible? Has anyone else seen this?

I' ve got some S4 clone phones and one of them suddenly after a restart couldn't boot. Neither my PC recognizes it as a device. I changed it the battery with other which were fully charged but nothing. I tried to boot in recovery mode or download mode and nothing. The phone is dead.

I changed the kernel code to accommodate my changes, compiled and flashed using ODIN. The phone came up well but the back and menu buttons stopped working. I undid my changes, compiled and flashed again. This time again the back and menu buttons didn't work. So, it seems that the source code or the build instructions released by Samsung has some issue. The config file used was t0uscc_04_defconfig (released along with the code). I have attached the build config file.
I have Infuse I997 with Gingerbread UCLB3. I think my camera got wet during a rain and stopped working. When I open camera (or flashlight) it opens up the application but the screen is black.
It also does not want to close and eventually shows a message that application stopped working and needs to close.

Whenever I take a picture with my front camera using instgram it goes the the screen to choose my filter but the picture doesn't show and then after a minute it goes back the previous screen I was. Rear camera works fine. Did a clear data and even uninstalled and reinstalled it. Not rooted.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOnce upon a time I used another website to customize my new Ascend. Long story very short, I messed it up. I am pretty sure I deleted some stock stuff, and since my computer that had all of the backups on it has died, I have no way of getting it back.
I've tried flashing back to stock, I've tried flashing to different roms, I've tried doing a factory reset, I've even tried loading the stock zipped rom from the sd card. Of all the methods that I tried, the only one that doesn't hang on the android screen is flashing a new rom - so I'm using CM7 for now. Everything else kills the phone, it never boots past the android screen.
I just went thru the gauntlet again, trying to "fix" my phone, but nothing worked except flashing CM7. My camera hasn't worked since I started messing with this phone when I first got it. Now, all of a sudden, my internet is having issues.
I have tried downloading the camera.apk, but it doesn't seem to do anything - is there something I'm supposed to do other than stick the apk file in the sd card root?. I still can't use the bar code scanner, or a shopping list scanner thingy - everything says the camera had an unexpected error and/or the device failed to give access to the camera.
Going to RoM Manager, trying to download a different RoM (I have paid for the premium) and I get the you must have CWM installed message. Okay, I wiped everything, that makes sense. Click the install and either nothing happens or I get the message can't get an internet signal. The browser will connect, if I click retry, retry, retry 20 times.
I really dont know if I can justify the cost of a new phone, seeing as I dont really need it - I just want it. Need fixing the signal and camera on this one? FYI, the 3g icon on the status bar shows connected.
Usb port of my Samsung infuse 4G isn't working, when connected it charges but pc doesn't recognize. I've tried with different USB cables. when camera is opened it gets stuck and shows black screen. i thought this could be a problem with ROM but i was unable to update ROM as my PC doesn't recognize it, i'm able to enter download mode using OSB jig but still odin doesn't recognize it. it has Android 2.2.1 installed on it and it has not been rooted.
