General :: Camera Not Working On Karbonn A30 After Upgrading To Jelly Bean 4.2.2
Nov 28, 2013I have upgraded my Karbonn A30 mobile from ICS to JB 4.2.2 with the guide lines mentioned in this XDA-forum. I have successfully upgraded to JB 4.2.2, but after upgrading Camera is not working on my Karbonn A30.
Camera is starting but not able to see any picture and also Gallery location in Camera app is not showing. When I capture any image, the screen goes to GREEN colour and it got hang.
General :: Instagram Front Camera Not Working
May 12, 2012Whenever I take a picture with my front camera using instgram it goes the the screen to choose my filter but the picture doesn't show and then after a minute it goes back the previous screen I was. Rear camera works fine. Did a clear data and even uninstalled and reinstalled it. Not rooted.

Nov 4, 2013So I've had this Samsung Note 8.0 for around 6 months now. Had been content with it, but after the first couple firmware update (including the most recent one to 4.2.2) my front camera always fails. My rear camera works fine but when I select the self portrait icon, it will show up 'Camera Failed' and closes down. It has happen too often now, have done everything recommended online.
Clear Cache, Force Stop, Clear RAM, Factory Reset (I've done this so many times now). I used to think it's a hardware problem but reading stuffs online they say it's a software problem. What should I do??

Mar 24, 2014i've been having some trouble lately with taking pictures on my front facing camera. I'm using the t-mobile variant of the samsung galaxy s3 (its actually from wind, but theyre the same). The last rom i had installed was cyanogenmod, and it was working fairly well, except every once in a while, when i took a picture or video from the front facing camera, the phone would crash immediately and reboot. I tested this with many different camera applications and they all had the same result. I decided that i would try a different rom to see if that was the issue, so i installed the latest version of Carbon. The problem persisted, and it even got worse. Now every time i take a photo using the front facing camera, the phone will crash and reboot instantly. I read around, and there appears to be some issues with snapchat and such, but i dont think that is my problem as this is occuring with every camera application i have. I have also checked out some other threads related to this issue, and some seem to have the same problem, with no real solution. Apparently a temporary fix seems to be clearing the application data, but even that doesn't work for me. If i could guess, i would say it has something to do with custom roms in general as i have seen no reports of a stock rom phone having this issue, or perhaps a gapps issue, but those are just some thoughts.

Apr 19, 2013Would there ever be a camera that could use front and back cameras at the same time? Or app? Do it have to be a powerful phone maybe like note 2 ect? Do you think such feature can be run on a low end phone maybe like HTC evo 4g?
I know gs4 can do this but what about other non Samsung phones?

Jan 4, 2014I just got the virgin mobile awe, and i took a couple pictures that i either didnt notice were flipped or werent flipped, because now all im noticing is how annoyed im becoming at them being flipped. Jan 17, 2014I recently purchased a new android phone off ebay (it's Motorola Razr xt912).It turned out the front mic doesn't work at all. It doesn't matter wether I use stock android or my CM installation. It didn't stop working, it never worked since I got the phone.
First I noticed people couldn't hear me when I was making calls, so then I tested the mic with a recording application which allows to choose the source mic. While I was able to record sound using the rear mic without any problem (in the app and also using the camera app), I never could get any sound at all from the front mic, regardless of application or OS used. Therefore I think it can be concluded that it's a hardware issue.
I don't really know what to do about this, I could contact the seller on ebay, but unfortunatelly in the meantime I managed to scratch the back of the phone a bit (there is a small but clearly visible scratch on the back) so I'm not sure they'd be willing to replace my phone.It occured to me that maybe I could somehow coerce the phone application to use the rear mic, is this possible?

Nowhere on the internet mentions a forward facing camera. HTC, when I emailed them, stated the phone does not support video calls, however I then sent an email saying it looked like it had a forward facing camera on the earpiece and they replied to confirm that yes, it was a forward facing camera.
Looking at the pictures of the Desire HD, at the top right of the earpiece / speaker you can see a small object that looks like a forward facing camera.
Despite the email from HTC I'm still sceptical because it's not been mentioned anywhere else, including on their own specs on their website.

Jun 12, 2010I've just been fooling with the front facing camera and I noticed something that maybe some of you can explain more thoroughly. When I have the camera held vertically, the alignment is great, but when I turn the phone horizontally the image has a funny angle. It is almost like the lens is angled to the right, which would mean that it is slightly angled down when held vertically. Am I just getting goofed up by the "mirror image" issue? This isn't a problem, but it does make self portraits while being horizontally held pretty weird.
