General :: Compile Error IW Tools
Nov 18, 2013I am on CM "jellybean" branch and want compile iw from source in order to get a p2p0 interface. My goal is use precompiled libnl.so provided by my vendor (Sony). I add iw sorces in external/iw directory and modified Android.mk of external/libnl-header in order to create the module "libnl" necessary for compile iw. All changes are in this commit.
When I compile I obtain this

It look like the libnl module is not imported by iw.
Motorola Droid :: Clockwork Recovery - Always Getting MD5 Checksum Error
May 2, 2010Using Rom Manager, Clockwork recovery, on any ROM, currently Pete's V1. I have yet to successfully restore a previously backed up ROM without getting the MD5 checksum error. I've tried both from inside Rom Manager, manage backups, and booting into recovery and hitting the backup directory. File names are left at default, as 2010-05-02-02.42.46. Frustrating as I wind up having to start from scratch if a ROM install fails.

Feb 26, 2014I have an iPhone 5s clone MT6572.
I think I've screwed up my phone. I performed a format with SP Flash tools and flashed a new rom. Stupidly I didn't take a backup of my IMEI number or a proper backup of my rom! . Luckily I found a CWM backup of my MP0B_001 file in my NVRAM folder and have managed to get my IMEI number back!
I have a problem though, I cannot get a mobile network signal but I CAN detect the sim card. It detects the network name and my mobile number but not a signal. Please see the attached image.
General :: Getprop / Permission Denied Error In MTK Droid Tools
Aug 14, 2013SuperSU works fine and grants permission to Root Explorer which also works fine.
But 'getprop: permission denied' is shown in front of most of the headings in 'Phone information' tab in MTK Droid Tools.
And when I click 'Root' button in MTK Droid Tools the following message is shown 'ERROR: SU inaccessible'.
I have granted permission to ADB Shell in SuperSU.
If I manually open adb shell I get $ prompt and then I type su to get # prompt.
I think that maybe permissions of some files are not ok.

Jan 8, 2014I have just purchased Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (Mediatek 6575). Its Android 4.2 Jelly bean.It was working perfectly fine only had issue that it's wifi was catching signals really weak. I mistakenly factory reset my phone which cause to no boot up animation. Its just blank when i turn on or off my phone. To fix that i rooted my phone as to get into root files i need to root it.
Since i rooted my phone the issue i am having is it says "System UI Stopped working" , "Touch wizard stopped working". Now what should i do, i am really worried.
I tried going into the CWM recovery but its not going, it was going in stock recovery before now its not even going in the stock recovery its just all blank.Now what should i do, its okay if i don't get the bootup logo/ shutdown logo but atleast i have to remove these errors. How can i unroot my phone ?
My Phone hardware is Mediatek 6575 , android 4.2 jellybean.
When the error "System UI stopped working" appears the background becomes black and the notification bar disappears.

I have tried:
- SuperOneClick 2.3.1 - Hangs after failing GingerBreak ("Hellions with BLUE flames!). Suggestion in another thread to turn USB Debugging on and off when SuperOneClick hangs did not work.
- The application from UnlockRoot.com - Fails to get shell root
- TPSparkyRoot's batch file - apparently this works with MT6575 ICS ROMs.
- Bin4ry v12 and v15 - again, this is more for ICS/JB based phones
- MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.2.8 - fails to gain root
I have also tried SP Flash Tool (versions v3.1206.01, v3.1208.01, v3.1216.05) to dump the BOOTIMG but no luck. I am getting this error: "BROM ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (2005) [BROM] Can not pass bootrom start command via USB cable!"
How to root this phone? The phone has very small internal memory - rooting it would enable more efficient space and app management.

i made its backup with mtkdroid root tools 2.3 but its corrupted.
i tried few roms and flashed it with wrong preloader and dsp_bl .. which gave me total brick .. no charging . no display. no detection by pc. after a lot of hit and trial i somehow unbricked it . now it has android 4.0.4 . but it has few problems.
1: Cameras are not working
2: Sim management is greyed out /disabled .. and no imei ..
3: No baseband ..
now since my own created backup is corrupt and this set is not branded so no real way of identifying it how can i find its factory rom ? from which information I can decide whether a ROM is compatible with my device?

Jul 1, 2012I have an AT&T Atrix 4G and I wanted to imstall CM7.2.
I had the latest Atrix Android version on it. Then I followed the instruction at the cyanogemod wiki for the atrix. So I flashed the sbf (cyanodenmod wiki -> Motorola_Atrix_4G:_Full_Update_Guide).
The rsd lite flashing didn't succeed because the atrix rebooted and the programm couldn't switch into BP passtrougth, or so. At this point the device said something about 0x1000 no bootloader, but I could choose between rsd, fastboot and the other possibilities.
I booted into the fastboot mode and did an oem unlock. Now it says unlocked.
I booted again into the fastboot mode, and now it should be a simple

Sep 29, 2012This is the first (and only) time that I have try to root my phone (with the AAHK). After alot of reading I managed to ROOT my Desire HD and it says S-OFF.
The problem is that I am not able to install a costum ROM. I have tried the following roms:
1. Android_Revolution_HD-4G_6.3.3
2. TrickDroid_v2.0.0_C2
And I allways get the same error. It says status 0. I found in some other threads on XDA-devoloppers that the problem is: "Wrong update-binary".

I forgot to mention that the phone actually is with Android 4.1.2, i dont kno why MTK Droid root & tools says Android v : 2.3.6, it start with samsung logo and everything, but i dont have bulgarian language i this rom.

Nov 1, 2011Current issue is that I my phone will boot just fine into regular startup however it will no longer boot into recovery mode.
I have tried the below methods but the main problem that I run into is that when I issue flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img(I have tried multiple img files such as the clockworkmod and SPRecovery) however none of them have worked they are receive the below message.

Since then Google Maps does not work anymore. When ever i open it, it says 'This application requires a working data connection'. I have a fully working data connection and every other app on my phone can access the internet except for Google Maps and it's related apps(like Navigation,Places,Local,etc).

I have flashed to newest Stock room from the website neo then i try magerto room he was fine as the beginning then after 2 days he start freezing and sometimes working then the camera is no longer working i tell my self its just poor room
i decide to use the stock room but after i flashed work normal for 10 minute then freeze the screen turn black utile you remove the battery and put back in 2 minutes after many times trying to flash it by sp flash tool i hit format ...my imei is gone and no signal on the sim card ( thats not a big problem)but the phone still freezing and restarting ...black screen ......after that the phone not able to turn on even the logo just black you can see he is trying turn on but no logo no nothing
in the device manager detect MediaTek Usb port before was detect preloader MediaTek somthing ......

General :: How To Re-Partition Internal Memory Of MT6575 Based I9300 Clone
Mar 8, 2013I have a SGS3 Clone based on MT6575. All the details about it are here .
I have 503MB /data partition
2.09GB /mnt/sdcard partition (it is internal sd card i cannot physically acces it .. its somewhere inside it ..
13.49GB /mnt/sdcard2 which is external sd card 16GB which i have partitioned for link2sd .. and this is the fat32 partition size
and 1.15 GB /data/sdext2 partition which is on external sd card which i created for link2sd it is ext4 partition ..
So the last 2 are the two partitions on my sd card .
I want to Disable altogether the Internal SD Card of 2.09GB (if that doesn't creates any problem, or if it does creates problem then i want it to be reduced to the minimum) so that all of that space is allocated to /data partition ( or whatever it is which android complains of low disk space .. )
I have red a thread here but that is with refrence to mt6577 and mine is mt6575 . and i do have its backup obtained through mtkdroid tools and i bricked it once and unbricked it as well .. ( when it was bricked it was total brick it didnt even do anything on inserting the charger)

Sep 16, 2013My phone is dead after I flash a wrong preloader my phone model is alps GT-I9500 mtk6572 . I try with ALL ROM on needrom.com with keyworld "alps" "GT-I9500" "mtk6572" ... about 20 ROM but I get Enable DRAM FAILED for each try
Use case :
1- Disconnet the battery and wait 10 seconds
2- Open flash tools with the scatter file
3- Connect the phone usb cable to pc
4- Plug the batterie on the phone
==> MTK USB PORT (COM XX) ok : drivers on the pc seems to be ok
5- On flash tools press download
every time I get BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)

on the web they say the cause is the wrong ROM but I don't know (I try over than 20 ROM)

Now I'm trying to flash my stock rom back.
My CID is VODAP102 and my Version is 3.14.161.27 so i downloaded the rom and tried "fastboot flash boot boot.img" the result is:

Sep 19, 2010As an additional anti-pirating strategy, I'd like to compute a checksum on my application at runtime. Since my app communicates with a back-end server, I can send the checksum with each message and the server can deny service to altered apps. Not a complete solution to piracy by any means, but a fairly easy way to raise the bar. Anyone know how an app can get access to it's load image at runtime?
