View 1 Replies View RelatedNew to Android and trying figure hangouts little. I am already setup in it, am I required to "add" my friends/family to it before I can do texting and such?
On my phone, I know with the Kitkat update it wants to use Google hangouts. I have not set it to use it as it keeps saying I need to add everyone in people to hangouts.
I want to make sure I am going to spam my friends and family to join hangouts as they are not on it and do not want too.
So as most i'm confused on how to get good voice, I've submitted to google for an invite but haven't heard anything and I recently deleted my VVM app becuz im not paying 2.99 a month extra....now I dont have any way to get notifications that i have voicemails...cept a msg from Verizon telling me to reinstall VVM [my service is being stopped after this billing cycle since i'm already paying for it this month]...which i assume msgs will stop when the service is removed?...can someone with a google voice acct invite me?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI asked this in the GV topic, but I don't think people want to wade through that thread. So I will ask here again:I have multiple google accounts. I have Voice set up on one of them, and just recently got an invite for another. On my extra account, is that invite locked to that account or can I just give away the URL that was in the invite email?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a photographer with various jobs left and right and I would really appreciate if anyone has a Google Voice invite. It would help me stay organized and would be be a god sent for every other reason you can think of.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got an invite to Google voice and They give you an option to use your number or get a new one. I really don't need a new number but you do get more features than using your own phone number. I never call outside of the US either. Don't know which one to pick.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI need a Wave and Voice invite, if anyone could help. I promise to use all my invites for people at this site, if I can get one.
View 49 Replies View RelatedCan someone tell me a definitive way to get an invite?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a GV number and am planning on using it for free texting.
However, if I tell people that I changed my number and tell them to call/text on my GV number, will it charge anything extra?
I understand that if the call is forwarded to my VZW number, I'll still be charged my monthly minutes, but nothing more, correct?
Also, I had my brother call the GV number and it prompted him to say his name and then forwarded the call to my VZW number, asking me to accept or decline. To me, this seems awfully similar to a collect call. I did change the settings though so that callers do not have to say their names and their calls go straight through.
Basically, I guess what I'm asking is would I be risking anything [money] by telling people to use my GV number for all calls/texts/etc? Or should I just give everyone two numbers, my VZW for calling and GV for texting?
I have been trying to get an invite for a long time. If anybody has an extra they could spare.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am going to order an Incredible and would like to get a Google voice account and have it setup when i finally can get the phone April 29th. Can anyone please spare a Google voice invite?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am just curious if we know this or not. I would like an invite, but it seems like the invites are inconsistent in terms of the turnaround time from the initial request. I have read recently how some have gotten an invite the next day and other have waited two weeks or longer. That said, could the N1 be delaying the invites? The Google Voice YouTube channel promotes the fact that the N1 comes with GV pre-installed. Does anyone know if this also includes an invite? I am will to be patient for a little while on GV, but if I have to wait too long, I may just have to go with YouMail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new and recently bought the moto droid. I just got a google voice account and set it up. I do not have a friends and family plan. I have a $39.99 package with unlimited data($29.99). So is there a way using google voice and sipdroid or something else to make and recieve free calls or do you have to have the friends and family? I have read a couple links that people have provided about setting up sipdroid and I am completely lost.
View 44 Replies View RelatedI switched recently from a black berry to an Android 2.3 powered device - Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon.
Email invite messages from Outlook for meetings do not show the calendar detail. Specifically, I can not see the date and time of the meeting invitations. I can perform actions to "Accept", "Decline", or Tentative" the meeting invitation. Unfortunately, there isn't any meeting detail so I don't know when the meeting is scheduled.
This is very frustrating and makes the Samsung Stratosphere or possibly the Android platform not fit for corporate environments. If I can not get this to work I will be switching to an iPhone and I will recommend to my entire corporate enterprise that we avoid Android based Smart Devices.
The Black Berry BEZ environment also provided information on meeting conflicts when you are sent a meeting invitation.
I'm using Go SMS as my default message app on my Droid 2. When I send a picture to more than one contact, everyone I sent it to gets any response any one does to the message. This is obviously not cool.
I can't find an option to turn that off, I'd never even heard of such a feature before. Not sure if that is an Android thing or just my app. I want to continue using this app but I'm not going to send a picture to umpteen different people 1 at a time.
I'm unable to tag friends while using the Facebook app for Android, whether it's in Check-Ins, statuses, comments, or any of that stuff.
When I try doing it by using the "+" icon, it says "Unable to load friends list" (something like that) and then when I try using the "@" symbol, nothing shows up. It used to work perfectly fine, even with this version of the app. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling... Wiping cache, and even different ROMs. Could this be a gingerbread bug? I'm using a T-Mobile G2x, with the latest CM7.3 nightly build.
I recently made the switch from windows phone 8 to the HTC One and I am really missing the people hub or groups feature of windows phone. It allowed me to put some of my contacts into groups. For example, I had 2 groups, 1 for family and 1 for friends. In these groups, it collected all the facebook, twitter, and other social feeds of those people and put them all together.
I really liked this feature because I could easily look at filtered social feeds for certain people without having to flip through each app separately. I often saw posts/tweets that I would have otherwise missed.
Is there a similar app or feature on Android that would give me this functionality? I have yet to find it.
I've been trying for over a day to send pics. It tells me they sent but no one is receiving them. I've tried shutting off my phone and updating and still not working. I have straight talk and a Samsung galaxy precedent
View 1 Replies View Relatedbefore ICS, you were able to remove youtube contacts from showing up on your contacts list. cant seem to do that with ICS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a sprint galaxy s3 and I'm having issues with words with friends. anytime i have a move to play, it displays it as an ongoing notification in the drop down box. i have never had issues until i updated to jellybean. it is getting annoying because i cant clear it and i notice a huge drain on my battery.
the weird thing about this is that my wife has the same phone with the same version of WWF and updated to jellybean the same way, but her notifications are not ongoing and can be cleared. there is no way to change this in the application manager in device settings or physical settings with WWF. all i can do is turn the notifications on or off. i have cleared data, force stopped it, uninstalled it, installed previous versions, and even rooted my s3 and am running synergy rom, but still no luck.
How do i send videos to my friends phone without making them public???
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to see meeting invite sent from microsoft outlook or any other applications. Usually when we get meeting invite we get accept, reject, etc options, but i don't see here.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can not seem to find a way to invite an attendee to a new or existing appointment or event on my calendar.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen someone sends me a meeting request, I can accept it on my phone, but I can't figure out how to create an event on my calendar, and then invite attendees from the phone? This is very basic stuff. I'd be pretty surprised if it can't do it, but can't figure it out for the life of me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedTwo Android phones in the house, me and my son. In my Gmail calendar online, I can see my and his calendars and can add entries to either. Is there any way to view his calendar on my phone in the built-in calendar app? Is there a way to add entries to his calendar, or to invite him to appointments I create in my calendar?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way to see who is or isn't using your application on Facebook. For example, sets say I have an application X that a user Y has just connected to. I want to find out if Y's friend Z has allowed X or not. Then, if friend Z has not allowed/used X with Facebook before.I want to invite that friend to use X.Is there any way to do this using the GraphAPI and the Facebook-android-sdk?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got the Epic and had to return it because I was not able to "invite attendees" from the Outlook calendar using the Epic. It showed up as an attachment. So, I went back to the Blackberry, which I'm so bored with! I'd like to give EVO a try and was wondering if anyone has "invited and attendee" connected to an Exchange Server on Outlook and also a Blackberry, which is what all of my coworkers use.
