View 7 Replies View RelatedI asked this in the GV topic, but I don't think people want to wade through that thread. So I will ask here again:I have multiple google accounts. I have Voice set up on one of them, and just recently got an invite for another. On my extra account, is that invite locked to that account or can I just give away the URL that was in the invite email?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got an invite to Google voice and They give you an option to use your number or get a new one. I really don't need a new number but you do get more features than using your own phone number. I never call outside of the US either. Don't know which one to pick.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got a GV number and am planning on using it for free texting.
However, if I tell people that I changed my number and tell them to call/text on my GV number, will it charge anything extra?
I understand that if the call is forwarded to my VZW number, I'll still be charged my monthly minutes, but nothing more, correct?
Also, I had my brother call the GV number and it prompted him to say his name and then forwarded the call to my VZW number, asking me to accept or decline. To me, this seems awfully similar to a collect call. I did change the settings though so that callers do not have to say their names and their calls go straight through.
Basically, I guess what I'm asking is would I be risking anything [money] by telling people to use my GV number for all calls/texts/etc? Or should I just give everyone two numbers, my VZW for calling and GV for texting?
I have been trying to get an invite for a long time. If anybody has an extra they could spare.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am just curious if we know this or not. I would like an invite, but it seems like the invites are inconsistent in terms of the turnaround time from the initial request. I have read recently how some have gotten an invite the next day and other have waited two weeks or longer. That said, could the N1 be delaying the invites? The Google Voice YouTube channel promotes the fact that the N1 comes with GV pre-installed. Does anyone know if this also includes an invite? I am will to be patient for a little while on GV, but if I have to wait too long, I may just have to go with YouMail.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen someone sends me a meeting request, I can accept it on my phone, but I can't figure out how to create an event on my calendar, and then invite attendees from the phone? This is very basic stuff. I'd be pretty surprised if it can't do it, but can't figure it out for the life of me.

Is there any way to view his calendar on my phone in the built-in calendar app? Is there a way to add entries to his calendar, or to invite him to appointments I create in my calendar?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got the Epic and had to return it because I was not able to "invite attendees" from the Outlook calendar using the Epic. It showed up as an attachment. So, I went back to the Blackberry, which I'm so bored with! I'd like to give EVO a try and was wondering if anyone has "invited and attendee" connected to an Exchange Server on Outlook and also a Blackberry, which is what all of my coworkers use.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI switched recently from a black berry to an Android 2.3 powered device - Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon.
Email invite messages from Outlook for meetings do not show the calendar detail. Specifically, I can not see the date and time of the meeting invitations. I can perform actions to "Accept", "Decline", or Tentative" the meeting invitation. Unfortunately, there isn't any meeting detail so I don't know when the meeting is scheduled.
This is very frustrating and makes the Samsung Stratosphere or possibly the Android platform not fit for corporate environments. If I can not get this to work I will be switching to an iPhone and I will recommend to my entire corporate enterprise that we avoid Android based Smart Devices.
The Black Berry BEZ environment also provided information on meeting conflicts when you are sent a meeting invitation.
What other games are like Word Feud where you can invite people you know and play as you go? I've tried a few other online multiplayer games, but they don't have the invite, notification and "play when you want" style that Word Feud has. I was looking for Battleship, Connect Four, Monopoly, Tic Tac Toe style of games but I can't find any.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI finally changed the voicemail system on my Hero from Sprint's "visual voicemail" (which is misleading because it doesn't transcribe voicemails) to Google Voice. It's nice to see my transcribed voicemails now. However, when I actually want to hear them (if the transcription didn't work well), it only comes through the external speaker; the speaker on the back of the phone. I went into Google Voice settings and under "Voicemail Playback" I tried the only two options: "Play via Handset" and "Play via Speaker." Unfortunately, both play through the speaker phone speaker. How do I change it to the phone speaker? I also can't adjust the volume, so the whole world hears my voicemails through the external speaker.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for the question I'm about to ask and didn't find any threads so here it goes. Can someone post the steps to setting up Google Voice as visual voice mail for the Captivate? I know it's probably something very simple but I just can't figure it out ( yes, I'm a bit slow ).
