I have a Hisense HS-U909 running Android 4.0 which I'm attempting to root. However I can't seem to find any Custom ROM's which support the HS-U909. Would I just be able to use a Custom ROM for a phone which has similar specs to the HS-U909 or would that essentially make the phone a paperwieght?

I also have apple devices and jailbreak them for years without any problem but today I am completly stucked.
I am unable to intall correctly the ADB Interface... It is impossible.
I tried to install, desinstall, reinstall many times the usb drivers. Restart the computer many times...
I tried the SDK android tool with installation of the USB driver package v7.
I still have an exclamation point on the device !!
When I try to install the drivers, it always tells me:
"An error occurs during the hardware installation A service installation section of the INF file is not valid".
I am under XP 32 bits SP3.
okay, so i have this hisense sero 7 lite my brother gave me, the device works fine in the flat postion, lieing on a table not to be tilted..
if it gets tilted it freezes forever.
i did an adb logcat, never logged an error.
so im thinking it just has a broken tilt sensor, is there a way to disable it?
Never had rooted my android phone... I know that there had been many threads about rooting this phone..but i am a little afraid about bricking my phone.. The specs of my phone are given in the attachment...

When i try to enter recovery mode by pressing and holding vol.down+power,green robot appeared but it just went to reboot again. Is there any other way so that i can enter to /system? It does not have this problem when the cable is not connected. That is most apparent when "Show touches" is turned on in developer settings.
I opened it up looking for loose joints on usb or digitizer ports, but everything seems good with that.

(Its never done this before when I had 2.1) the SDK program wont even do screen shots for me so thats the main reason I am trying to root. I know thats a dumb reason but still. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a Nexus One user so already using froyo and of course stoked with it.Given that the phone is already superfast and tethering works, is there any real benefit to root, and / or custom ROMs?Previous to froyo the main motivation for custom rom would have been tethering but thats now moot. I am happy with stock android UI and wouldn't bother for just ui tweaks. I am interested however in possibility of getting better battery life, but am leery of losing the comfortable convenience of OTA stock updates. One of the reasons I picked an N1 at the time was that I knew I'd be getting 2.1 and 2.2 before any other model also side question, when you go custom rom and do a backup before flashing, does restoring the backup literally restore everything (apps, data, settings etc.) completely? i.e. everything remains in exactly the right place, your apps are all 100% intact, gmail/contacts/exchange/sms etc. all there etc.

The device hardware is pretty awesome for the price, but I have problems
installing gApps as they are blocked on the phone.
I have attempted to root using Unlock Root "its supported?" but unsuccessful.
I have Novo 7 Elf ICS 4.0.3, adb is root, but when i try to SU in shell or use Root Check app on the device i got "permission denied", and all root application don't work (root explorer, etc ...).
Superuser is installed and running, but it seems that su doesn't launch Superuser at all. it just wait for 15 s and then "permission denied"
I've used Tasselhof-RootScript.
what i can do?
I've tried change su user/group and Superuser apk with no success.
