After installing the HoneyStreak HD7 2.0 (3.2) ROM for Dell Streak 7 through Clockwork Mod Recovery 6.0.1.2, I have encountered an annoying issue: the screen blinks. I rolled back to the stock ROM for the Streak and encountered no screen problems. I verified that the download wasn't a bad one, and I was getting the right amount of data.

How come whenever I'm conversing with someone on the phone, my screen blinks on and off whenever I try to use it? Is there a way to fix this? Or is this a hardware problem?

Then I decided to use Clockwork to install a mod (cyanogen) and cleared everything i needed to, but after it reset it locked on the logo, the LG with a blue swipe behind it, and thats all i get. I tried putting it into APX mode, but my volume buttons wont respond.

Is there a way to make a global setting to use the LED for any notification that's not on going? I'm rooted, obviously, so I'll try almost anything.

Also I used the apk to install on my phone and i also saw two installation of the same app on my phone.
After using the unrevoked3 method to root, I downloaded rom manager and obtained the damage control rom to flash. When rom manager prompted to install, I just hit 'yes (or whatever the prompt was)' without checking backup (since I already have one) or clear the cache. Once it reboots and finishes installing, it just hangs at the 'htc EVO 4G' screen and seems to be in an infinite cycle (screen goes blank for a second then back onto the htc evo 4g screen).

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I rooted my desire using the r6 guide from MoDaCo. Worked well, no problems. Recovered my personal data and apps, set my alarm went to sleep. Alarm goes off, get out of bed and all still fine. Then, I decided to apply apps2SD picking up at the end of Lekky's guide. Followed it word for word but once complete, it wont boot past the HTC boot screen (the white screen with logo).
I am going to try and reapply the rooted ROM (if I can get my blackberry to turn on to write to the goldcard). But, does anyone have any idea what could have gone wrong? I really want apps2SD, but this could all go pear-shaped again. Are there any other tried and tested methods to get apps2sd on a stock superuser ROM?

On the HTC HERO handsend there is a setting for LED. I picked a different color to blink when I get a message but the green default light still blinks. If u look on the ear piece of the phone it looks like there is another light on the right of it. Do anyone know anything about changing the settings for this?

I can only access to storage mass device, so I think I have a problem with the USB drivers which connect ADB command to my phone. I have a problem with the new ROM I have installed. I had CM 10 Android 4.1 until I saw what paranoid android 3.1.5 can do like resizing applications, and I wanted to install it. So i did, but there seems to be a problem: the applications that I moved to SD card are not showing in the app drawer. Weren't those applications supposed to remain on the sd card after I have restored to factory settings, wiped cache and dalvik cache and installed the new ROM? The weird thing is that they don't appear in sdcard1/data/app neither. I want to see where the applications that i moved to sd card are located....
the battery drains faster...Is there an application to track the battery usage just to make a comparision with the CM 10.1 ?
I'm the developer of XenoAmp. I am trying to make it run on Froyo, the thing I did was setting in manifest:
