I can't find where to delete a downloaded ring tone which I have somehow assigned to FB notifications - it doesn't show as the notification tone in sounds and I can find it in ringtones but when I hit delete it doesn't come up as one to delete, it was a message tone from Zedge so maybe they save elsewhere?

I've figured out how to set a ringtone BUT when I try to set a tone to ONLY play when I get a text (sms) that sound is playing for ALL notifications!!!

I cannot find where to force the phone to send tones for touch tone systems. The search function gave me everything but touch tone information, and I went through three pages of search results.
There is a beep tone when u end a call..
which was played through the main external speaker instead of phone earpiece speaker..
what can be the exact reason that causes it...
can it be as simple as a setting some in some xml file?
also its not some .ogg file in /media/ui or some place else...its some network tone i guess
I have some questions about the ringtones and alarms on ICS.
1. How could I set a mp3 for the alarm tone? I copy a mp3 file to the alarms folder but I can not set it.
2. I want to set a ringtone to a contact when calling, but not for notifications, is this possible?

I copied my desired ringtone to sdcard/media/alarms, it didn't work either. Then I tried copying it to sdcard/ringtones, nothing new..
I want an call blocking/black list App which will blocks the selected blacklisted number,and while that number call us...i want a response tone to be like "the user you are calling is unavailable" or a simple n silent call end up with some beeps unlike responding that blocked number as "the user is busy",as bcos this busy tone wil be saying him that we are rejecting his call. in earlier i used nokia5230 S60v5,there i had an app named "M-Cleaner" which was also cald as "360 Principle",developed by some china dev's.this app works such like saying the user is unavailable or simply ending up the call without saying anything. It's having an option of call forwarding rejection method.so i use to keep a some real unavailable number in that option n make choose that call forwarding rejection/blocking method.i think due to this option that app was able to do so(as like my requirement).
How to find such an app in our android platform. I thought symbian is itself having such an outstanding app,y not for android?...n jumped to android.

Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
okay i may be a nub at this, but i've been trying to figure this out for about 30 minutes. i thought it might be faster to post here. how do you do this? i see an optio for select notification sound, but the file i want to put is not shown there.

Well I added some more yesterday, went in a changed it to one of those, but it still played my old tone. I have found that whenever the phone is charging, the phone is completely mute and will not ring. Likewise, any sms's will go unnoticed as no ring tones/ alerts sound. The phone still operates like normal while charging and will retrieve calls, it's just the phone stays completely silent
