General :: Watch Movies Using Google Play On Rooted Android Phones
Mar 9, 2012How to use watch movies using Google play on rooted android phones.
1) Download app called ota rootkeeper from the android marketplace.
2) Open app and protect root.
3) Click "temp unroot".
4) When done watching movie go to ota rootkeeper and restore root.
Every time you want to use Google play you must do this.

Jun 23, 2012I have a rooted HTC Amaze with s-off. I am able to remove all other system apps from my phone (Google Talk, Friend stream, etc.) except for Google Play Movies. I cannot find its location on my phones root. I have checked /system/app/ and it is not there.
I running ICS Android Revolution 3.

Oct 31, 2012I have a rooted Samsung s6102 and I unistalled the google play store using linktosd thinking I can reinstall it on memory Card, but then I downloaded it and tried to install it. it installed but on opening it errors "force Close" I have tried many versions of it and it still doesnt work comes up with error "Force Clsose" I think it has to be installed in system. I don't know how to do this. In the meantime I have reset factory settings but still no sign of google play. I'm afraid link2sd must have deleted the relevant files. I also wiped cash memory but.........

Jan 3, 2013I am new to android and i just bought the Huawei Honor II U9508 2gb ram with android 4.1.2 and with huawei's Emotion UI 1.5.
The problem is that Google play store didnt come with the phone and i have tried installing it with 4share but everytime i get an error that says u "Unfortunately, Google Play has Stopped" I have tried many things like deleting chache and deleting email. Do i have to Root to get it to work?
Another thing is that i really like to have my phone rooted.. as i said has android 4.1.2 and huawei's Emotion UI 1.5 (2gb ram).
Also i really like to get rid of the Chinese in for example browser (have it set on english but still alot of Chinese) and Youtube didnt work in browser at all. In the commericals i see Voice Assistant in english but i have it in Chinese (any way to change it).
General :: HTC Desire Rooted - Google Play Store Loading Pages Really Slow
Dec 9, 2013I own HTC Desire (Bravo). I rooted my phone year ago or so, tried different ROMs etc. I dont remember when exactly, but my Google play store is loading pages really slow. I am not in US, I doubt its carrier based issue..
Currently I'm using CM..I think its 8 or 9, not sure of the version because recently my ROM manager app stopped working. (Will try to reinstall it when I get calm enough to open Google Play Store again )
On the startup it says CM 7 (mod) but I think it does so for all versions. I flashed CM using clockwork mod.
To solve issue I've tried clearing cash/data but it didn't work . Btw I use wi-fi mostly, but issue is the same whether I use mine or some other wi-fi.

Mar 20, 2014So I upgraded my daughter's Nexus 7 to 4.4.2, and set up a restricted profile for her. I cannot figure out how to watch purchased Play Movies & TV. Her account has permission for it under settings, and I can browse for the purchased movies in the app, but they are all non-purchased. Her profile is still showing as tied to my Google account, so purchases should carry over, but alas, no such luck. they don't seem to HAVE a support department. Guess you can't expect that from such a small company...

Mar 31, 2014Getting "no connection" when I try to run Play Store app on my LG Optimus L9, rooted phone. I've tried everything I could find on various forums to fix this. Adjusted date/time, switched from manual date/time and back to auto from internet, deleted "hosts" file from the system/etc folder, emptied cache and wiped data from the app using titanium backup, and some other things I can't even remember now. I found a site where I could download a more current version of the Play Store app in an apk file and install it (AndroidPolice site). Is that likely to fix this "no connection" issue? I currently have android 4.1.2, and my Playstore app is 4.0.25. I've also wiped data and cleared cache and restored Google Play services. I haven't tried uninstalling either Play Services or Play Store because I'm afraid to do that. I did use Autorun Manager to make them not load on reboot, but that didn't change anything, so I set them back to automatically load. I also tried freezing them both and separately one at a time.

Nov 7, 2013Recently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.

Sep 6, 2013I downloaded Eternity Warriors 2, started playing, then when I decided to play online, I can't play PVP because my device is rooted. I've tried a bunch of apps that hide root, or temporarily unroot, and this game somehow can still see it. All I can find online is Glu Mobile is doing this cuz they think a rooted device is capable of hacking their game.....even though it's server sided. Any way to bypass this, or hide my root from this game?

I used handbrake to convert them from mkv. " The file type not found" would show up when I tried to play it.
