I recently rooted my Sprint Galaxy S3 (4.12) but decided unroot it yesterday using Odin 3.07. I flashed a stock rom from Team Epic, but ended up with a black screen with a blue led when I tried to turn it on. I have access to both download mode and stock recovery mode (no CWM or TWRP).

I dropped my Note 2 yesterday and the screen started slowly turning blue. This morning, the screen completely got filled with blue/white/messed up color, and then went completely black. Touchscreen still worked though because I was able to maneuver around the phone right after it was dropped. Screen was not cracked. does the screen has to be replaced as well or i can replace it with smaller parts?

She plugged the phone after it ran out of charge and saw this screen (pic attached) with the battery icon empty and a blue triangle with a crossed out battery symbol inside it. The phone would not power up.
We tried everything : checked charger, plug points, usb charging, taking out battery and cleaning contacts but everything is fine.
Any possible way to make an xda wallpaper, black background with blue letter. Similar to the xda premium app splash screen when in dark theme but without the premium app.

I flashed a rom then i went to flash gapps the bar was loading then it went off the screen and it didn't do anything.i waited about 5 mins and still nothing.i hit the power button and it shut off i go to turn it on and all there is a blue light where notifications show.black screen nothing else...

Sounds and buttons still work, and I can turn the phone on and off, but the display remains utterly blank. I've pretty much written the phone off, there's probably nothing I can do for it. However, I would love to recover my pictures, contacts, and music from the phone. Is there any way I can do this without being able to see the phone display?

Lately my phone has made it a habit of showing a black screen when I open an app. At first it was just one app that I could not open, and now most apps have this problem. It is very difficult as even my contacts and messages aren't showing. Also sometimes it starts buzzing with no reason.
I have tried to re install some of the apps, however this did not work.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S7500.
I have an issue since i start installing custom ROMS. So, is not my first time installing a ROM. I have installed stock ROM's in the past. However, not custom ones. I have rooted my device in the past and even now before installing a custom ROM. I have installed through TWRP recovery various custom ROMS such as Omega, AOSP, ARROW, WanamLite, Google Edition and CyanogenMod but none of them worked fine for me.
In some ROMS I might not have reception (don't worry the IMEI is the same and backed up). However, in EVERY ROM my dialler crashes; for example, when im trying to make a call it freezes and the screen goes black without seeing anything. On the other hand, when I receive a call, screen takes ages to appear and show the caller or even accept the call. In addition, I have NO SOUND at all in every ROM as well.
I believe that the kernel might be the problem. This is because when i am booting the phone I always see the following:
I have tried clearing cache, dalvik, removing battery, installing stock ROMS etc.... and nothing changed!
i was listening to music on my samsung galaxy sII and then it stopped and turned black , i removed the battery and placed it again , after that it was stuck in the samsug boot logo where it started to show samsung multiple times , i did the same thing remove and place the battery and after that it just turned black and doesn`t turn on again or even charge.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy aunt gave me a Samsung Galaxy S2 and everything was fine, except that it didn't let me register to the network. The next day it told me that it had to do an update so I did the update. After the update the home screen turned black and pressing the buttons didn't do anything. After a while an error pops up saying "application is not responding" and then the screen just stays black. The top bar works just fine and I can even go on the internet, play games, practically do everything. I did a factory reset by pressing Volume up + Home + Power 3 times already, but the only thing that changed is that the language turned into German.. the screen stays black. It had nothing to do with Rooting or Flashing, because I don't even know what that is.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Samsung Galaxy Reverb has nobody willing to build CM10 for it, so I decided to take on the task. It built without error - processed the kernel and all the CyanogenMod 10 files just fine and generated the .zip. However, after flashing the .zip I end up with a Samsung logo, then a black screen.
The compile went through without error, so I'm a little lost as to what I should check next. From doing a little searching it seems the kernel is at fault, but what to do about that. Am I supposed to flash the kernel separate from the .zip that the CM builder outputs?

I am trying to flash the PDA, Phone and CSC back all to normal stock. I have downloaded a firmware and I only have one file with a .dll file. The one file I have is named "I9100BOKK1_I9100TMUKK1_I9100BOKJ1_HOME.tar.md 5" I have extracted the files from here also and it contains boot.bin, cache.img, factoryfs.img, hidden.img, modem.bin, param.lfs, Sbl.bin and zImage.
How with these files and Odin do I flash all three parts. I can't see how to use these files on the above link with instructions for flashing and rooting.

The problems started when I looked for the ways to upgrade my device, and it sais my device had been modified (rooted). So then I tried deleting SuperSU, thinking that would unroot, but nope... I then went to my great friend, we all know as Google. I then found the firmware, however didn't notice it said 3G, not just WIFI.... and loaded it onto my tablet following the instructions leading me to use Odin. I now have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 WIFI only, with 3G Firmware.
After countless hours, days, and now weeks of trying to get it back to the normal firmware, all my attempts result in an error on Odin, and here's what I get:
First, I just load the .md5 file, and this happens.

Boot loop. I don't care if I get my S2 working again or not, but I NEED the files on my internal storage! I have a Mac and a PC, both with ADB installed, but no matter if I'm in recovery, or Odin Download Mode, I can not access my device via ADB. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S (GT-I9000M) which doesn't boot past the start-up splash screen and sound effect. Eventually it will just switch to a black/blank screen and do nothing more. The back and menu buttons still light up if tapped.
The history how I got it this way, was I was using the app web-sharing lite to transfer some files through wifi without the need of a usb cable. I was transferring a large movie file when the phone locked up. I reset the phone, and upon boot every app and service was crashing. Tried this a few times, then pulled the battery etc, still the same. Then I booted into recovery mode(vol up+home+pwr), and applied wipe data/factory reset, then rebooted. This is when it started to only boot into the black screen.
This is a Canadian phone, service/bought through bell, the phone had the one click root applied to it so TI Backup could run on the device. So I think I'm out of luck with any warranty service.
I can get into the phones recovery mode and download mode, so I think there is still hope for this phone to be recovered. What I don't know is what firmware version Bell ships with these devices, and where I can download it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my Galaxy Ace S5830i last month. I hadn't installed Samsung Kies until yesterday, when I launched it it prompted a firmware upgrade. First I tried to use kies to upgrade but whenever the upgrade process started (Kies started downloading the firmware files) my device automatically got disconnected..I tried reinstalling kies, restarting my phone but nothing worked.
I then decided to use odin(v1.87) to flash the firmware on my device but it kept failing at first step itself. Here's what it said :-

The phone has been working as fine as ever. Kies never got to the step of INSTALLING the new firmware as whenever it started downloading the firmware files my phone got disconnected so no damage there.
With ODIN I entered download mode but here too it fails at the beginning, so I just switch off my phone and restart it and it works as if nothing ever happened (I've made several attempts)

I have a firmware for my galaxy ace named S5830XWKTM_S5830OXXKT3_S5830XWKT7_HOME.tar.md5 and I wanted to edit the baseband so I could make it work in my S5830L by just changing "amss" file...
But I can't change it if they are in .md5 and if I change the file to .zip and transfer amss, I can't change it back to .md5
