When the first version come out i installed the apk (3.4.6) then it silently update to 3.4.7.But now it stopped at 3.4.7 while my old Galaxy S update itself to 3.5.16.Is there a way to force update without installing the apk? I try to clear cache but it doesn't update after acceting terms and condition.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a samsung galaxy gio GT-S5660M Android version 2.3.4 build number GINGERBREAD.MUGKG3 (Stock rom gingerbread ) but it is rooted. ok so i was trying to free up some space on my internal memory and i was using titanium back up and i converted google play to a user app (it took too long so i assumed it didn't work) but i backup the google play. i was able to move it to sd card thought ,but then i still don't have enought free memory to receive text msg (20mb needed) so i did a factory reset which freed up everything. and i was still rooted ( i fixed it) but now google play won't open it gives me this message (process com,android,vending) so i downloaded a new com.android.vending but still won't work i tried the clear data it will open and i can search but whenever i try to download it will force close.

But I'd rather it happens overnight when my phone is plugged in, rather than when I'm at work for the day and will be needing every last bit of battery juice. I know that there is a setting for update over wifi only. Any way to extend this to only when on wifi and plugged it? Could this be achieved with tasker? Is there a way on charging event to change the toggle whether or not automatic updates happen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Samsung Tab 2 10.1 P5113 and I updated my Google Play Music app to the update released on May 15th (the one with the "All Access" feature and ever since then it keeps crashing. It is completely unusable. I have tried everything I could think of. I was on CM 10.1 nightlies, then i went back completely to stock, I've unrooted, wiped, uninstalled, re installed, and every other idea I could think of. (Note that I have root and am running on stock Touchwiz so I can post a logcat if you need me to, also all of the other Play Music versions worked just fine for me.

My Market never changed over to Google Play. Also, some of my apps will 'start download' then never download the update. Other apps update just fine.

On Google Play Services 4.0.x - I get very accurate location small circle around where my house is.
After updating to 4.2.25 - I get a large circle - maybe the radius of an entire block / surface area of a cell tower coverage roughly
Uninstall the update to play services (back to 4.0.x) - get very accurate location again.
I am using a RAZR HD with 4.4.2 kit kat / CM11.
Did play services update broke my specific phone?
I would stay on the older Play Services but Hangouts and Maps keep bitching about needing to update it.

View 13 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
Since my Internet is too slow to play videos on the youtube app in "HD" and the "no HD" option looks bad, is there any option to force the youtube app to play videos in 480p? I am missing detailed settings for the video quality in every HTML5 environment. Using flash is no alternative for me, cuz its bugged on my device. Maybe there is an alternative YouTube App i haven't already discovered?

In an attempt to solve this issue, she has cleared data and cache from google play services, as well as google play store. I also advised her to delete her google account from her device, then sign back in. Neither of those worked. Also, download manager is enabled.

just trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. I did a factory reset on my Galaxy S2 GT-I9100P. Everything went fine until I noticed Google play store now tells me my device is not compatible with a number of apps, such as Google Chrome browser.

Is it just me and my device, or is the Google Plus app rubbish for everyone? Jitters and lags just when scrolling down the feed. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3, and the problem persists across ROMs, and enabling/disabling "Force GPU rendering" makes no difference.

I tried to force ics update to my phone and it is stuck on the big Motorola M screen. ive tried to flash the update just like you would a rom and it didn't work. it was my only option cause the guide i was following was for a pc and I own a mac so the utility provided wouldn't open on my computer. after it didn't work i tried a factory reset but that hasn't done anything. what can i do? the sd card wont mount on my comp so i cant put anything on that.

Enables "Keep Locally" ( keep_local ) option for adding new contacts instead of forced google account.
Prevents google from deleting all you contacts when you remove your account
Disables google contact sync
The offending package comes with gapps if you got google that way.
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk you will find it in /system/app/ (need root file explorer to see it though)
You can make this fix in 3 ways, the first may not need root but i cant test as my phone is rooted.In Settings>App find it in the list of all installed apps, click it, click disable. (can do this without root)Use a root file explorer such as "Root Browser", navigate to /system/app/ backup the app .apk to your sdcard for example, then delete it.You can also try clicking the app .apk in "Root Browser" and choose uninstall, but i could get this to work.
Thats it ! , no need to reboot. (to test it worked, just navigate to Settings>Accounts>(your google account) and you will see there is no longer the option to sync contacts)
I have HCL Me U1 tablet with following things done on it:
1) Rooted
2) Google Play installed
3) Display DPI changed to 120
My problem is that many popular apps on Google Play are incompatible with it. The display resolution is 800x480, which is standard.How do I make it compatible with Google Play? Searching for incompatibility, gave some results about display DPI, but it did not solve my issue.
