So I got my own rom. Its a lightly edited version of the stock rom. But while I try to flash it it gives me back a error. I found out through a flash app that the ZIP file is not valid. (and not giving a explanation why not..)

Id like to know if there is any chances to change my current theme of my custom ROM without having to reflash all again.
Im using Zelly Cream ROM on my Xperia Ray.
I did not brick a tablet without having a cwm installed first and a nandroid backup. The tablet is an allwinner a23 not in some peoples opinion worth a lot of effort to fix. We have an identical tablet with the same firmware. If I root and install a custom recovery on the unbricked tablet can that zip be flashed without a custom recovery? I have looked about a bit and there seems to be conflicting opinions on this. The only prob I can see is the stock recovery may not have the option to wipe the dalvik cache.

So I've been looking into flashing custom kernels, and I can't seem to find an answer to this question. Basically, I'm wondering if the kernel remains after installing a new nightly, or do I have to reflash the kernel every time the ROM updates?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you flash any custom ROM, sometimes there is a problem with setup wizard! When you choose any language in Setup wizard it gives "Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped" when you press OK, problem comes again?
When you are in Setup wizard don't touch anything! Then one after another clockwise since the left top corner, press the most top left corner, then the most top right corner, then the bottom right corner, and at the end the bottom left corner!
i recently flashed custom roms in my arc s and returned to stock because of the features, when i installed ics 4.0.4 the battery meter is stuck in 100% and the mobile would switch of all of a sudden saying battery is emply i tried deleting battery stats, formatted everything except sd card still no use it is still stuck.. i flashed gingerbread and the battery meter worked fine i was showing the correct percentage, once after i flashed gingerbread charged the battery to 60% and flashed gingerbread it was showing the right percentage... i know the sensor is fine coz its working in gb.. i tried battery calibration and different battery status apps all show 100%. ics once the batterys drained it doesnt charge properly..

But when I press on reboot on recovery, it says that the ROOT may have been lost, then it says, repair root? I press on 'no', the device restarts but it gets a black screen right after the device logo..
I have an xperia X8 with some naa kernel and xperiadroidx 6.1.The thing is that with this custom kernel and ROM when i put a SIM from another network carrier, the question asking for the SIM-unlock code input is not showing up. (this appeared before when phone was in stock state).Is it possible to do it without re-flashing to stock?
...or i have to put back the phone to stock? What is the easiest/safest/best way to do this? using the restore option in "PC companion" SE app? Is it only needed to put the stock kernel and ROM, or Do i also need to re-lock the bootloader?
I don't need the whole explanation, just a little guidance, just a few tips to know what to do, then i can google/search myself for the specifics on how to actually do it.
Basically by "any browser" I mean all the big name browsers, including Firefox and Dolphin. On my old ROM they worked. Now the same (latest) versions don't. I'm on 4.2.2 (old ROM and new ROM) and I don't seem to have any Flash binaries installed, but I thought it was built into browsers now since Flash for Android is discontinued.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Samsung Galaxy Reverb has nobody willing to build CM10 for it, so I decided to take on the task. It built without error - processed the kernel and all the CyanogenMod 10 files just fine and generated the .zip. However, after flashing the .zip I end up with a Samsung logo, then a black screen.
The compile went through without error, so I'm a little lost as to what I should check next. From doing a little searching it seems the kernel is at fault, but what to do about that. Am I supposed to flash the kernel separate from the .zip that the CM builder outputs?
I followed the effen manual to flash a new ROM for my HCT Desire HD on Monday, December 12th with absolute success. However, I have lost the start up sound file and when I boot my android, it boots in quiet mode. I searched for a solution and found many threads explaining how to disable it, but very little on how to enable it.
The problem is when I open my SDcard and look in the media/audio/notifications all I have is a facebook.mp3 file, I do not have any other files that would allow for the start up sound to open on boot.
I have flashed my x10a with flashtool and x10_2.3_aro_2.ftf firmware. But after the flashing is finished, my phone screen touch is not working. What can I do now? I am unable to install xrecovery to install another rom bcoz screen touch isn't working. So I can't install any custom ROM.

Now it will load the game but when loading a match it closes every time. Only info I've been able to find just says that the app may not work properly on a custom rom. Followed the instructions as said and now I have the choice to boot to recovery or if I let the boot go all the way through it gets stuck after the verizon logo. When I try to flash a different ROM, I hit install from SD card and everytime, no matter which ROM I pick, it starts updating but says opening file, then like 2 more lines saying opening, then it stops the install.

The missing apps aren't always paid apps though, just certain ones (both free and paid). The only solution I've found is to go back to the stock Rom.. does anybody have any ideas/suggestions? Make sure you put in the components correctly. After md5 check has completed, you can flash and take a little break. Once you're in the standby screen on the phone, you can turn it off and reset the Odin and select the ROM and .ops file along with the ROM.
