I have recently attempted to install LordManhattan's keyboard [URL] on my rooted Samsung Galaxy S3, but it will not show up with the theme I am using (Lucid theme). Whenever I revert back to the standard Holo theme, it shows up fine.

I've recently flashed Myn's Warm RLS3 ROM and would like to use the Froyo keyboard vs the themed stock keyboard. How hard/in dept is the process to change colors on a keyboard? Are there any Froyo keyboard themes for download that I'm overlooking? I've tried Google with no success

You will want to jump over to Xda here : [url] nd pick up the high res v27 for froyo if your on froyo the other if you are not and pick up that zip. You will need the clicker hi apk from that zip if you want to adjust the settings for the keyboard.
I didn't create this website or any of the themes there All credit goes to those that did. I just wanted to share with the community. Its very easy and a straight forward process and it creates a QR code (which I never got to work) and a download link to dl the apk and side load it like you would any other app. If you already have the htc.ime keyboard installed, you will want to uninstall it first. It does hold a lot of memory (around 11mb in running processes for me) but it doesn't lag. It also isn't multi touch, but I have found typing very fluid for me.
I have never rooted before and I am about to give it a whirl. I am not worried about the consequences really, I feel pretty confident I can follow directions. My only issue is, after browsing these forums I am completely lost on what rom to use! I see some people saying beast and various other custom roms, then I see some saying "vanilla" Froyo is the way to go.
1) What rom SHOULD a first timer use?
2) Where do you find it?
3) What is the most newb friendly rom loader?
4) Can I use any of these custom themes I see with any custom rom or do I need the "vanilla"?
5) Does WiFi work in all of the Froyo roms now?
6) Are there a list of known issues with specific custom roms available or even "vanilla" froyo?
7) Will my purchased apps that are updated to work in 2.2 work?
How to create a custom themes and use it in the code? in menu how to implement theme option and apply for the activity?Please Help.

In terms of LAG being a major issue and customization. Watched several youtube videos of demo's but would like to have some first hand, not a G1, or a droids take on it.
I'm running pete's BBv.4 with the Blue Energy theme. I'm new to this whole rooting thing. How do the themes get those custom launchers? Are the themes suppose to automatically do that or do you need another app like Launcher Pro?

I do not expect a Theme that would make Android app look like an iPhone app, but anything that would help me move in that direction is a welcome suggestion (and please don't go with "you can create theme on your own").

However, this method only works for our own activity or application. I'd like to create themes that could dress the whole system (i.e. all activities). Of course, I'd like to select one of these theme by programing. If I could customize the status bar as well, it would be perfect. I didn't find out documentation about that.

I downloaded nba jam from the playstore and it worked through the first match then closed when loading the second match. Now it will load the game but when loading a match it closes every time. Only info I've been able to find just says that the app may not work properly on a custom rom. I'm running aokp build 37 on the latest siyah kernel on my Samsung i777.

I grabbed a theme from this site (which has a GREAT tutorial by the way), but whenever i try to install one, my phone will not boot following the update. I get a similar thing to if you have not restored GAPPS where the screen will just sit on the boot screen but go no further. I tried restoring GAPPS to see if that was somehow the issue, but not luck.

Everything was fine as far as decompiling and recompiling. At first the app wouldn't install. So I went back and during the recompilation process I selected the option to retain original application signature. Now the apk installs, but the application will not open.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I flashed the latest nightly and stable Cyanogenmod yesterday and it as garbage. Keyboard wasn't working, wifi, lots and lots of problems. Then I flashed Vision-X, which was very nice, however my wifi was not working. I figured it was the kernel so I tried to download one and flash it, didn't fix it. So I went back to stock. Then I came across Omega ROM, which looks amazing. I want it, but I'm afraid that if I go through the flashing process, the wifi won't work again, and to get it back to stock is time consuming. which is supposed to let you flash one of those files in odin and it corrects the wifi issue. The problem is, how in the world are you supposed to know what version to get? There's like 50 listed. I have a Sprint SPH-L20, which is another thing that confuses me, I figured out it's a "I9505", but no where on the box, or in the phone does it say "I9505".
