General :: Motorola Razr Xt912 - Front Mic Is Not Working?
Jan 17, 2014I recently purchased a new android phone off ebay (it's Motorola Razr xt912).It turned out the front mic doesn't work at all. It doesn't matter wether I use stock android or my CM installation. It didn't stop working, it never worked since I got the phone.
First I noticed people couldn't hear me when I was making calls, so then I tested the mic with a recording application which allows to choose the source mic. While I was able to record sound using the rear mic without any problem (in the app and also using the camera app), I never could get any sound at all from the front mic, regardless of application or OS used. Therefore I think it can be concluded that it's a hardware issue.
I don't really know what to do about this, I could contact the seller on ebay, but unfortunatelly in the meantime I managed to scratch the back of the phone a bit (there is a small but clearly visible scratch on the back) so I'm not sure they'd be willing to replace my phone.It occured to me that maybe I could somehow coerce the phone application to use the rear mic, is this possible?
General :: SD Card Just Stopped Working
Feb 4, 2013I was in the middle of crossing files over to it from my computer, and then it froze and stop crossing over files, and crashed my computer, so I unplugged it and restarted my computer and it hasn't worked since. I did have some problems with my computer telling me that the card was only 530kb, so I stuck it in my phone and formatted it, and it was working and then that happened. I really don't want to have to buy another 32gb SD card.

When I took it to look at it, I noticed that the phone was overheating. I popped the battery, let it cool down completely, and tried again. Same thing - unresponsive touch screen and it pretty much immediately overheated.

General :: MT6575 - SystemUI Stopped Working?
Jan 8, 2014I have just purchased Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (Mediatek 6575). Its Android 4.2 Jelly bean.It was working perfectly fine only had issue that it's wifi was catching signals really weak. I mistakenly factory reset my phone which cause to no boot up animation. Its just blank when i turn on or off my phone. To fix that i rooted my phone as to get into root files i need to root it.
Since i rooted my phone the issue i am having is it says "System UI Stopped working" , "Touch wizard stopped working". Now what should i do, i am really worried.
I tried going into the CWM recovery but its not going, it was going in stock recovery before now its not even going in the stock recovery its just all blank.Now what should i do, its okay if i don't get the bootup logo/ shutdown logo but atleast i have to remove these errors. How can i unroot my phone ?
My Phone hardware is Mediatek 6575 , android 4.2 jellybean.
When the error "System UI stopped working" appears the background becomes black and the notification bar disappears.
General :: External SD Card Stopped Working?
Sep 28, 2013I have a problem, I have a > Androd tablet coby mid 8048, I had inserted a mini external 4GB SD Which contained photographs and I could see them from the gallery normally
Also take photographs and make downloads ....... but after I tried to made a root and instal google play from the external sd mode, it works just fine. it was installed correctly, but after a moments the external sd stoped working,when i went to the library / images tells me not Sd card is mounted, I can not download files or take photographs, I can only explore its contents from LOCAL / exsdcard. there I See everything.
the funny thing is that when you turn the tablet off and back on, it tell the message that says "preparing sd-mount" then says "sd card Mounted "and sd icon appears in the bottom right ..... but not mount on the gallery. I go to settings / internal storage and SD appears but not USB internal storage sda. ,i try to disable the storage to remove safely, turn off The device and try again, but does not work , i all ready try to restore from fabric but nothing only personal data erase and some games.... but the google play still apear instaled that was not there when i buy it, so i think something has change.... what can I do?
General :: FOXFI Stopped Working - Missing Options?
Jul 15, 2013So my tether had been working perfectly up until yesterday. I have the full version plus the addon. Normally when I activate the hotspot it takes about 3 seconds then I get two drop down notifications in my top notification bar. The first says hotspot is active (blue wifi icon) and to click to view traffics, and if i click on it, i am directed to the main foxfi page. The second would say hotspot is active, and click to configure settings (this one had a white wifi icon). When I clicked on this one it would let me alter some settings. However, now this one is no longer showing up, and my tether is also not working. When I activate the hotspot, it takes twice as long, and then finally the blue icon pops up, but not the white one. The network is not identifiable even though foxfi says it is running.

Feb 20, 2014i got a brand new S3 In december 2013 , i dropped it an it broke ( both touch and LCD ) I got them replaced by a authorized service . It worked fine 2 months , Two days ago some problem appeared, Touch screen stopped working propperly , it worked only for short periods of time. Now if i press really hard on the right hand corner (Above the return arrow) it works Perfectly ( as long as i keep my finger there) but sometimes it works fine after reboot but in the end it stops (No signs of cracks or damage) , i had CM11. What i've done until now :
-Deleted CM11 and added 4.1.2
-Took it appart and checked the ribbon ( fine)
-Hard reset
- Dummy file generator
Everything works on it buttons ,Before the freezing screen flashes a bit .

Sep 26, 2013im having a problem with my samsung galaxy s advance. Few weeks ago i spilled some pepsi over my phone. I dried it and everything was working fine. 3 days ago, my speaker stopped working. I reflashed my firmware and it worked for about 5 seconds and then it made cracking sound and would not work. I noticed that, if i suck air from the speaker with my mouth(sometimes i can just put my mouth over it) it would work for 5-30 seconds. But as soon as i remove my mouth it stops working.

Mar 10, 2013My Galaxy Nexus died after only a year. It had gotten to where the phone portion stopped working completely and data rarely worked even though I am in a 4G hot spot. I went in yesterday to pay full price for a phone and the rep offered me a new phone for the regular upgrade price. After an hour I walked out with a new Droid DNA and could not be happier.
Yes, I had to give up unlimited data but the most we have ever used is 3.5 GB per month and they gave us 4 along with unlimited minutes and texting which my wife needs. I could not be happier at the moment.

Nov 13, 2013I have smartphone Lenovo P770 with Android 4.1 in it. It runs on official chinese ROM remade by Etotalk.com.Everything was working fine, but few days ago, internal memory was full, so I moved some downloaded apps (games) from internal storage to SD card.The day after this microphone got somehow broken - when I call someone, they can't hear me (they actually do, but very very poorly(= very quietly)). When I switch to handsfree, they hear me OK. Also, I'm using Bluetooth headset very often and people can hear me good. Only when I call normally, people can't hear anything.
This is weird, because all moved apps were downloaded, none was built-in. Also, when I record a video, sound is without a problem.
I tried cleaning the microphone turning volume of microphone up/down moving all apps back to internal storage factory reset none of this worked.
General :: Play Store Stopped Working On Both Devices
Jun 8, 2013I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy s3 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. The Play Store stopped working on both devices 2 days ago at the same time. Play Store from the both devices shows I have no apps installed. When I go to the ALL tab I get the following message "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]". I get this on both devices. If I look at an app that I already purchased it shows that I have not purchased it. If I try to purchase it I get this message "Error retrieving information from server. [BM-PPH-01]". I can't install them to my devices from the play store via my PC either. I have tried clearing cache and data, deleting my Google account from phone and tablet then setting them up again. Date is correct on both devices.

Aug 1, 2013I have the pirate bay app on my AT&T htc one running stock jellybean. I cam across an app called Google play modded. Which I thought meant I can go in and customize the Google play store and delete the bloatware that come with the phone, but I found out that It was something totally different. So I went to uninstall it from the app drawer and It deleted the whole Google play store. I downloaded and apk file from some website which fixed it. but after rebooting I got this error. I then went to titanium backup and wiped the data. It fixed the crashes but now I for some reason am running the modded Google play app again. I deleted Google play services and google play app. rebooted my phone. It removed the modded Google play store and fixed everything, but whenever I try downloading an app It breaks everything.
I'm running Jelly bean 4.2.2 on stock android. HTC one.

General :: SD Card Stopped Working Galaxy Note 3?
Nov 12, 2013Ive had this micro sd card for at least 4 months. Its 32gb. I was using it on my galaxy s4 and it worked perfect. A week ago i got a galaxy note 3 and used it on my note 3 and worked perfect until yesterday every time i locked the screen, when i unlocked it it would say card was removed and like seconds later it sayd card inserted and installing. Then it would work. And everytime i lockd and unlockd the phone it would happen until it stopped working. I tryd putting the 32gb card on another phone and it didnt work. I tryd a different card on the note 3 and it worked. Only the 32gb stopped working. Ive restartd the phone. Took out the battery. Took out the sd card and put it in again and nothing worked. I tryd puttin the sd card on the computer and it doesnt even give me a signal that i inserted the card. Nothing happens. Oh and i forgot to say it stopped working and then after like 10 mins it came back working until the screen Got locked again and when i unlocked it then that was it, the card was gone and hasnt given any signal since then. Not even on the computer. I didnt download anything to the card or done anything that could of done this. It Just happend.

I have gone into the Volume section under Sound and tried to mess with the volume levels. When I turn the alarm level up to the highest it can go, instead of playing my alarm sound it plays a very faint beeping noise. When I turn up my notification level it makes a similar beeping noise.

Jan 25, 2010I was receiving emails on three different accounts up until this morning. I have been in the Application Manager stopping and clearing various services and apps I don't use. Obviously I have not done that to email, but are there any apps or services in there that affect email? I'm wondering if I messed something up by going too far parring down the device of stuff I don't use, or if this has happened to somebody else with an Eris and it's a bug.

Jun 14, 2010This weekend, returning from a roadtrip, I fired up my Navigation and got only the "Searching for GPS" notification in perpetuity. Network location was working. Chalking it up to cloudy skies and just general Murphy's Law, I carried on without thinking much of it. After about an hour on the road, the skies had cleared and I tried again...same thing. My brother was in the car who also has a droid. He tried his and GPS located and worked just fine.
Yes, my GPS is on. I've turned it on and off several times, went into and out of airplane mode, of course rebooted. Did a battery pull today. Still not working. Uninstalled most recent updates on the Maps app, didn't work. Reinstalled the updates...well, why would that make it work.
The GPS "broadcasting satellite" icon comes up in my status bar when attempting to locate...just never succeeds. It seems to be not working for any App that requires GPS (i.e., not just Maps or Navigation)
Motorola Droid :: K-9 Mail Stopped Working?
Feb 11, 2010Several weeks ago I was using the default mail client and my (free) Yahoo account just randomly disappeared one day. I decided to download K-9 mail and give it a try. Setup was easy and it worked like a charm. No deleted emails coming back, no multiple messages in my sent folder, everything just worked.
That was until a couple days ago. I noticed that I hadn't been getting any email notifications on my Droid through K-9. I opened the app and the last email showing up was from 2/6/2010. I did the refresh and nothing happened. I held down the power button and choose "Power Off". I turned it back on. I went to K-9 did a refresh, it said it was checking my Yahoo account but it didn't retreive any new emails.
When I log onto Yahoo online I have new emails (both read and unread) but none of them are being retrieved by K-9. What is going on?
Motorola Droid : All Vibrations Stopped Working
Feb 26, 2010so, today all my vibrations stopped working. no haptic feedback. i checked all my settings, no problem there. phone not on silent. tried a restart, no good. so then, i shook the crap out of my phone and holy crap, that worked. all my vibrations are working again. does that mean there's a problem with the vibrator hardware?

Jun 13, 2013Up until last week, I was using my original samsung earphones and some Philips earphones in my phone to listen to music without a problem in nearly 18 months.
Then I bought some Adidas Sennheiser earphones and plugged them in and now I can't hear the vocals and the music sounds tinny. I then put my samsung ones back in and same problem, even though they were working perfectly fine up until last week. Now any headphones I put in are not working properly but they work in other peoples phones and in my pc. I don't want to have to get a new phone. There must be a reason why they worked one day then as soon as put in the Adidas ones something changed. I have checked all the settings on the phone, have looked at heaps of blogs on the net and here, tried the WD40 on a cotton tip, tried cleaning out the headphone jack, tried pushing the headphones in all the way, tried turning off, taking out battery, turning off and on while headphones were in.
General :: Default Gapps And Google Play Stopped Working
Jul 23, 2013I recently upgraded my phone xperia mini pro SK17i 's software from GB to ICS 4.0.4 and rooted my phone. After rooting i installed Titanium backup and remove a few what i thought were unnecessary apps from my phone . I think i also deleted the google.download.manager.apk i'm not sure but i cannot see this service in my "ALL APPS" (APP Manager) Its not at the bottom or disabled its just not there.
Since then i keep getting gapps stopped working and Google play stopped working .
i have tried
1. Rebooting (multiple times)
2. Clearing cache/clearing data for Play
3. un-installing /Re Install play
4. Download goomanager and downloading latest gapps packed and flashed the zip
5. Delete gmail account and restart and add account again.
Also i don't think there is prob in Google sync...
and checked out all the sites and forums for solution ... i still haven't gotten any solution to this.
i saw in a few places about QtADB and new ROM..but i have abs no clue about what it is or how to go about it
I jst want the Google download manager back and Google Play to work...
I have downloaded a new download manager for now. But was wondering if i can get back Google download manager without have to to do a factory reset.
Motorola Droid :: Home Button Stopped Working
Aug 7, 2010Couldn't find exactly what I was looking for in the forums. Yesterday, my home button stopped working on my Motorola Droid (1). It just gets really aggravating when I'm in the browser and I have to keep hitting back until it exits. Does anyone know if there is any way to fix this?

Dec 31, 2009I received my new Droid recently (yes, for Christmas), everything was working fine - even while using the Open Home feature.
However, some time this past week - or longer - the voice mail notification has stopped working. No blinky light, no icon, nothing. I have tested using the regular Home and the Open Home - same results. Just a missed call notification. Further troubleshooting steps I have taken was just powering off the phone and powering back on. I have also removed the battery for a couple of minutes and replaced, still the same. I have also cleared out all voicemails and left myself a voicemail, still same thing. Only the missed call notification.

May 10, 2010My light has stopped working. The LED isnt dead, cos I DL'd Missed Call from the Market, and it works with that app, but not when I get a text, tweet or FB invite/msg/event. It flashed green for: tweets and texts and Blue for FB notifications.

Jul 1, 2010My Droid wall charger stopped fully working this morning, and Im not sure why. It may be either that the charger is broken or the port is. When I charged the phone this afternoon on my car charger, it worked fine, but I did notice once that the input piece for the car charger is slightly wider than the wall charger, and the wall charger has seemed to fit loosely in. I cant tell if anything is actually wrong with the silver input piece on the wall charger. Should I buy a new wall charger or take the phone to Verizon to get the the port possibly fixed if that is the issue? Can they even fix the port?
