General :: Using Micro SDHC Cards In Tablet Micro SD Media Slot
Apr 17, 2013Most of the specs for tablets which have a micro SD media slot do not give any details about it. I'm generally wondering if a slot labelled "microSD" will accept a micro SDHC card (as opposed to a micro SD card). I know, for example, that some older memory card readers won't read the SDHC cards, even if they have an SD slot. I'm not sure about the tablets however.
Example of some of the tablets that I'd be interested in knowing this about are: Acer Iconia A700 or A210, and Toshiba Excite.

Jun 17, 2012Any dual sim adapter for 2x micro sims to 1x micro sim? I have a Galaxy S3 with a micro sim slot, so most dual sim adapters don't fit. Would a iphone dual sim adapter work? Or don't they have the SDK for android?

Dec 4, 2012I'm developing an app that backs up and restores the saves of all Angry Birds Versions. For devices with Android 1.5 or higher I've written a simple input/output file stream, and it works.
On device with Android 4.1 or higher (due probably to the increased security) the Angry Birds saves require more permissions to be copied from my app (rwx isn't enough). Is there a way to change the permission adding root access in my app or is there a solution without adding root?

Jan 28, 2014I have two cellphones, different brands, android 2.3.4 and 4.1.2. On the first phone there are some stock ringtones I like that are not on the other phone (both regular ringtones and notification ringtones). I want to copy the ones I like from the first phone and put them on the second phone. I tried looking through the folders on the first phone and can't find any ringtones. Neither of the phones are rooted.

General :: Copying MKV Files To SD On Tablet Via Wire?
May 25, 2012I have an Acer Iconia A500 tab, rooted. The problem is everytime I try to copy an MKV file to the SD inside my tab my windows crashes and restarts. I tried copying other files to the SD and it works like the charm, but when it comes to MKV files it crashes. Note I can copy large files into the SD just not MKV files This makes me mad for a good reason. I've tried and tried solutions, but seem to not come to a happy understanding.
P.S! I have ICS also I do not know why I can't mount my external HDD to the tab either.

She also had a cricket phone which had a larger mb, sd card that she wasn't using due to her getting a new phone, sd card so I put her sd card she wasn't using from the cricket phone and I put it in my phone and took my original sd card from my phone and put away for now. I went to try to install a app and it said it needed rooted so I goggled for a root app and downloaded it and after it loaded I wasn't really sure what to do with it. But then it let me use that app I wanted to install before rooting so it may of done something to let that app work. After looking thru the internet forums someone said to ES file explore and it shows a bunch of folders that is on the /mnt/sccard-ext and on the /mnt/sdcard .
What I would like to do is to put my original sd card that came with my LG Optimus Dynamic LG-L38C. When I put that sd carn into my card reader it shows this list of folders .android _secure, audio, brew, diag, download, image, LOST.DIR, other, video
How do I go about switching out to put the original sd card back in? Is there anyting I need to do before hand? Would I need to turn off the phone and switch out the cards if the phone was rooted? And after putting the original sd card back in, would it be a good idea to do a factory data reset?
General :: Micro SD Not Read By Android / Format From NTFS To FAT32
Feb 5, 2013Running 4.2.1 Supernexus on an i9100, I had a 32GB Micro SD card in the phone and when I had it connected to my computer I formatted it, except I foolishly set the format to NTFS. Now android won't read it (doesn't show up in storage) nor will it mount it when connected via USB so I can't put it back to FAT32/exFAT
Installed Paragon's NTFS mounting tool which mounts the drive but it's still not showing up in storage or being mounted via USB.How can I format it back to FAT so it will be read by windows and/or android? I'm surprised there is no SD Card formatting apps out there.
Android :: Copying Over Contacts
Jul 14, 2010I'm using a Legend atm- and I'm thinking of getting the Desire/Galaxy S, but I'm not sure how I can copy back over my contacts from my Phone to my SIM card.When I first got the phone I copied over my contacts from my SIM to my phone and then cleared out the SIM card- but now I don't get an option from People to Export to SIM card, but I get the option to Export to SD. Having done so I'm not sure if I did it properly because there also isn't an option under View to see info from the SD card- only from Google, Phone and SIM.I really can't be bothered getting an app for this lol. I don't really want to do Google Sync because it isn't exactly as re-assuring as having the info in a SD/SIM card you can hold.So really how do I copy over my contacts from Phone to SIM/Phone to SD Card? And how can I check to see if I've done so properly (I will uncheck Phone from the View menu in People)?Also- how to move all my SMS's from my Phone to SIM/Phone to SD as well?

Nov 17, 2013I bought a Sandisk 32gb (4) micro sd and downloaded the n2a jelly bean 4.2.2.My issue is that it keeps 27gb fat 32 which my nook can't see. It says I have an 800mb partition and a 5gb one in device manager.
On the nook it says total storage 5gb? Where has my 27 Gb gone? And as it's booting off a card why is it telling me it's internal memory too? When I boot to the stock nook o/s it says 12gb left out of 16. Why does my n2a boot up not tell me I have 27 left out of 32??
I have rebuilt card and partitioned it to one big partition before building the image but still totally confused as to what's going on??

2. The XP (PC) will see the Xoom as a Massive Storage Device or as a MP3 player.

I do know that ICS support OTG, and run really well with flash drives.
General :: Micro SD Card - Photos Don't Show Up On S4 But Will On PC?
May 8, 2014I have a Samsung S4. I recently created new folders to organize my vacation photos. 2 folders do not show up on my phone but I can see them all when I plug the usb into the PC and view them there,
Why I can't view / find them on my phone?
The rest of the folders show up, just not these two. One previously showed up on my phone and I was able to view it just fine but then I renamed it and now I can't see it anymore. I don't believe it was hidden and I even did a reboot but still these folders no longer show up. I can only access them if I plug in the usb cable to the pc and view from there.
