A weird problem appeared today with the phone of a friend of mine.I 'm a bit worried whether this might be a HW issue. The key combination does not bring the recovery screen.

My samsung i5500 wont boot normally so I want to try booting it into recovery and resting it. I've tried power, center key and volume down. which I thought was the recovery combination but it just comes up with an icon saying downloading and does nothing. Any recovery combination or another way to fix.

The phone doesn't boot, it only shows the first Samsung logo and then the Samsung Galaxy S2 mini text, but after that, the screen turns black and the phone does only vibrate. Is there anyway that I can reset my phone (erase all data??). I also cannot connect the phone on my computer (It doesn't show anything in My Computer on my PC)

" message, when it is in that screen, the pc does recognies the samsung driver but i have no access to it, and Odin doesn't find the device

Now the device stuck in boot and will display cyanogenmod 7 blue circle around 3 -4 seconds over and over. I need to do a factory reset, but now it stuck in boot loop and it does not have a key combination to go into recovery mod.

View 2 Replies View Related i was doing standard stuff on my rooted samsung galaxy pocket, it had low battery so it ran out.I connected it to a charger, let it sit for few seconds and tried to start it.
it showed battery image for half-a-second and s5300 start up screen appeared, stayed there for approx three seconds and phone rebooted,and it did this again and again.Without charger it didn't even start. I connected it to a charger again and it was charging up for few hours - and something different happens.Phone now starts without charger,still s5300 screen,but then it goes black(screen doesn't go off,it is still on but with black pixels . Recovery mode doesn't even load,downloading mode seems to work,but i didn't download anything.
I have a problem in my Samsung Galaxy mini, I bought it yesterday and it works well till I looked at it and found "No SIM" word. I closed it and unplugged the SIM then opened it with the SIM again but nothing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (model GT-I8190, Android Version 4.1.1) and as of about 3 weeks ago it will crash intermittently when I am using it. I have had the phone for just over a year.The battery will be well charged prior to it crashing. I will be using the phone and then it crashes. The phone will switch off and then will turn on again (by itself) and when the home screen appears the battery will show that its on 0%. This of course then causes the phone to turn off and then turn on again and so on....the only way of stopping this cycle is by taking the battery out (to stop the cycle) or by plugging in the adaptor. Indeed if the phone is plugged in then it never malfunctions and the phone works ok.
Also the battery charge has started to drop quite significantly - It sits on my desk at work and yet i cannot get through the day without re-charging it. When i was in the O2 shop the other day it dropped 12% in 5 mins.It usually crashes when I am using apps that in the past have worked fine but today it crashed when it was updating an app.I have deleted apps that I have added recently in case it is anything to do with them.I have backed up everything and have restored factory settings.I have not dropped it or got water on it etc.
The problem still exists.I took it to o2 who want to send it off. Is it simply a battery issue? It could be a battery issue but I dont want to spend money on a new battery for the problem to persist.
Today I realized that my GPS isn't working. My phone is samsung galaxy s3 mini (gt-i8190). i think it is because of gps conference. I found it in a diffuculty and i put it here:

But the phone didn't start anymore.What happened ? I tried to plug the battery off and on,but still not opening...The charger was plugged in when this happened...
I was in the pool when I dropped my phone in it. It was only submerged for about 2 seconds. I was at a friends and they didn't have white rice so i had to put it in brown rice-- all day. Then today I put the battery in it and it acting the same, everything works but when I touch the screen it doesn't do anything. It has now been in a air tight sealed bag full of white rice for about 3 hours... It still doesn't work.. I have college tomorrow and I need my phone...

It generally restarts when i launch some apps like Cam scanner , What's app , Offline dictionary .It doesn't restart when i open the app . In what's app it restarts during conversations .Its not restarting all the time , usually it works OK .

I have noticed that after the last update, my touch screen doesn't work for a few seconds on random occasions and then works again after about 3 or 4 seconds. when I'm reading a book and they're about to reveal the mystery or enthusiastically playing a game and it stops working, I get increasingly frustrated that I can't turn the page or that I lost the game because during the last few seconds my touchscreen decided to temporarily stop working.. I just want to make sure there's not something wrong internally.

I have Samsung GT-P6800, that is 7.7 tab, actually, some days ago, it has developed the bootloop problem, I decided to load custom recovery and take the backup of the data, because I can't able to lose the data as the data is very much important that is stored on the tab, but when I load the Odin V3.70 & V1.85 and in the PDA section I load the .tar file of TWRP 2.6.3.0 recovery, and flash then I got the success & pass message in the Odin, but when I restart the tab in the recovery mode, I again go in to the Default stock recovery that is e3 Android System Recovery, I don't know why this is happening, as I have tried many versions of Odin as well as twrp and cwm recovery, but whenever I go in the recovery mode, I found the stock recovery loading(e3).

Next month I heard talk about samsung releasing the kit kat update 4.4 to this phone correct. I would love to revert back so I can receive it inless you know of other ways of getting it other than installing custom roms....witch im not comfortable doing....I already messed up my phone in the process of rooting doing the ad block app....which then when I uninstalled it. I couldn't connect to the google servers.....so I had to go back and edit the host file and got it working finally but now I just want to remove this recovery..I want to update my rom I know people say do complete wipe and install the stock rom and that should remove it but I'm iffy on the subject because I don't want to brick my device if it doesn't agree with something. I'm not all that new to rooting I had a coolpad quattro which I rooted in the past phone btw don't ever buy it. As well as my first galaxy 1 from verizon and a galaxy aspire. but im having problems trying to understand and avoid bricking my device because I haven't even finished paying it off and it's 400 dollar device plus interest...
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to port cwm to the galaxy ring virgin mobile and i have a complete system dumb through adb but i need to find the recovery partition of my phone ive found system and cache and all the others but there is 4 un named partitions that have 8 mb each i dont want to pick and choose and mess it up. it seems like im the only one trying to do devolopement for this device. i have a feeling this device can handle cm10.1 or atleast 10 it has the 3.4 kernel 4.1.2 jellybean touchwiz 1.4 ghz single core processor.

After unsuccessfully attempting to install a custom rom, I believe I have accidentally deleted the stock rom for the device..So now, whenever I turn the device on, it automatically brings me to CWM recovery. I have tried to install a different rom onto the device unsucessfully, giving me an error saying "format() expects 5 args, got 4" It also says (Status 7). I have also tried to connect my device to my computer and hook it up to Odin, but Odin does not recognize the device.
