Oct 6, 2012I have the dead android with the red triangle on the recovery mode, I upgraded to jellybean 4.1.1 but some reason KIES reads my phone as being SGH I 747, so I factory whiped and reset, reinstalled 4.1.1. My original issue was when I wanted to sign into certain apps the phone would vibrate and then the app would crash and I would have to start over or not use the app! I tried to install a correct jellybean 4.1.1 into the phone hoping to fix the issues but I cant do anything, Now there is a dead android with a red triangle no clue what that is! When I tried to install another zip I get verification failed in recovery mode.

Oct 13, 2013my galaxy s2,it is rooted,and i have another problem : the phone restarts by itself and gets stucked in the boot loop, i never flashed a new rom ,it is running the stock rom,Someday i needed to factory reset the phone so i rebooted into recovery mode (power + home button +vol up) ,. I booted into recovery mode but the power button does NOT react as 'select' button although it works just fine for power on and off. I select a function and press [power] an the first line becomes the selected. pushing it again just flashed the screen. But pressing it long turns the phone off,and even after the factory reset from phone directly(with out going to recovery mode)

Apr 20, 2014I'm following step by step process to root my gt-s5310 using ODIN 3.07. Started from download mode and connect to the PC is no problem at all. ODIN finished with the GREEN PASS. When I tried to open recovery mode, only android recovery mode is open(but malfunctioning, going no where when I press the home button) that recovery mode also don't has "install zip from sd card" option.
My android version is 4.1.2 . Baseband version S5310DXAME2. Kernel version 3.0.15-1521875 se.infra@SWDA2309#1

Mar 8, 2014I updated my galaxy s gt-i9000 to cyanogenmod 10.1,1. everything worked great.... I got a wild hair and decided to upgrade it to 10.3.0 but it went into a boot loop. I then broke out oden, and long story short I soft bricked it. I now actually got my phone to let me restore my backup that I did before I updated it, and it completed successfully. But it only boots into recovery mode. What I can do?

Jun 15, 2013I used my galaxy ace (I had the low memory icon) when playstore has updated an application, then suddenly all my applications are set to "force stop" including Holo launcher, so I rebooted, but the I had teh cyanogenmod 7 icon repeat (bootloops) I cann't access to the recovery mode (I had RAMDUMP mode (ARM9 mode)) I can access to the "downloading" mode so I wanted to flash a stock rom (even three in fact) with odin multidownload 4.38 but nothing happens when Odin has restarted my phone, I had the little android image that works then a message like: "E: failed to mount storage (invalid argument)" and the phone started to reboot loop I've tried dozens of manipulations unsuccessfully kies does not see my phone I do not know what to do,
PS: I've tried all the manipulations removing the battery / SIM card and sd waited 5 minutes, I was able to put the phone in Emergency Mode DLOAD but it nothing happens the only real thing that still works is the "Downloading "mode , but I think my recovery mode was crushed and I cann't access it even when I can flash with odin I always have the problem of "E: failed to mount storage" (the same style as him [URL]...

Feb 4, 2013 i was doing standard stuff on my rooted samsung galaxy pocket, it had low battery so it ran out.I connected it to a charger, let it sit for few seconds and tried to start it.
it showed battery image for half-a-second and s5300 start up screen appeared, stayed there for approx three seconds and phone rebooted,and it did this again and again.Without charger it didn't even start. I connected it to a charger again and it was charging up for few hours - and something different happens.Phone now starts without charger,still s5300 screen,but then it goes black(screen doesn't go off,it is still on but with black pixels . Recovery mode doesn't even load,downloading mode seems to work,but i didn't download anything.

May 31, 2014I tried to do a cyanogenmod update, but something went wrong and now I can't boot into android. I've tried going back into the recovery mode to reflash the rom, but it freezes there. I've also tried flashing clockworkmod recovery through ODIN and download mode, but the download back never moves at all, so I'm not sure if I can't use download mode or if it's just that ODIN isn't doing anything.

Oct 2, 2013I've rooted my samsung galaxy mega 6.3 GT-I9205 but I got stuck in a boot loop after trying to change my boot logo using a app called root tools. Before that everything with root worked fine.So I tried recovering the phone by going into recovery mode and wiping all of my data/factory reset and also wiping my cache. Both of these thing did not work.
So after that I went into download mode and tried to instal something I believe CWM. But now I can't even go into recovery mode because when I try, the phone says that it's going into recovery mode and then just reboots... and goes into a bootloop.

Jul 19, 2010I have never flashed a phone before. I followed instructions for ODIN. I installed the ADB drivers as indicated. (I had them installed on my windows 7 laptop previously for use with PDA net.) I shut down my phone then enter recovery mode. I then plug my phone into the computer and it never shows up as connected. I have tried this on my new IBM Thinkpad R500 (windows 7 32 bit) and on an older IBM laptop running Windows XP. I have used these same computers and phone connection before when I added MP3's to the phone.
When I let the phone boot up normally, both computers then recognize it and I can transfer files and such. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ADB drivers multiple times, when the phone boots up normally I can use PDANet just fine so I doubt it is the connection. Is there something special I need to change in the phone settings before I shut it down and enter recovery mode? It seems like the phone isn't loading something as it boots into recovery mode. That it loads when I let it boot normally.

I press both volume buttons then press power button and keep holding onto the volume buttons but the phone just boots normally.Anyone had a similar problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Sep 16, 2010I've had my Galaxy i7500 for about a year , but I'll be getting a HTC Android (not sure which) later on. But that's another story.
I need to do a factory reset on my phone because I had that lock screen block where it asks for your GMail, but nothing was working. I tried the "null" password trick, and that got me through. Then I (have had this problem for ages) decided to do something about that download error problem, where nothing downloaded, and the suggestions where 1. Factory reset or 2. delete some data and cache from apps. Did that. Now it won't accept my GMail login because it erased my GMail from the phone, hence the need for a factory reset. Now that you've heard my life story (sorry ), I'll get onto what I need.
Can anyone tell me the control for the recovery mode? I need them because reseting the phone through recovery mode keeps all of your pictures, videos and music but resets the rest. I like my media .

Sep 30, 2010I just recently came upon my new samsung moment, so i wanted to go ahead and root it after having my rooted hero with froyo, and i loved it.
Anywhos, i got to the point where I update it using the files i got off of the tutorial, and now im at the point where i need to boot into recovery in order to flash the phone with my new rom. However, here lies the issue. My phone is turned off, and i hold down volume down, and both the call and end buttons simultaneously. It starts to load up, but then it just basically loads into my phone like it normally should. I hold the buttons down all the way through this time, and same deal.. so what am i doing wrong here?

Feb 20, 2010Seems I can't boot to recovery mode on my BH2. I've been all over the place looking for the exact method for booting to recovery, and I've seen all sorts of variations. The most common methods are to hold BOTH the Home and Power/End keys at the same time and continue holding them until you reach recovery, or to hold ONLY the Home key and continue to hold it after you have pressed the Power/End key to power up the device. I've also seen a couple people suggest that you should hold the Camera key while powering up. Suffice it to say, NONE of the methods I've tried have worked. When holding the Home key during power up, my phone hangs at the Android boot screen for about 2 minutes, but then continues to boot normally. Every other attempt to boot to recovery have resulted in a normal boot.

I've done this 7 times now, with two fingers holding down the volume buttons (one each) and then pressing the power button until the device shows signs of life.
