I need to change my wifi mac adress on my huawei u8180 with ROM CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 U8160.
I have try to change/modify nvram.txt but no good
Also try with softwares :
- com.jiaofamily.android.mac: change mac for huawei (it's old). it can read the mac but can't change it (unsuported device)
-Set MAC adress : cant read mac adress
both don't ask root right.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot change the boot loader of the huawei u8230 android 2.1 A1 branded, carrier lock unlocked.I was able to install z4root.apk and was able to get temporary root with the following command

Then I tried to install recovery-clockwork-3.1.0.1-u8220.img with install-recovery-windows.bat and with fastboot command Fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-3.1.0.1-u8220.img but both did not work, the bootloader is still the original. What can I do to change the bootloader? Do I need permanent root? How to I get permanent root?

When I have WiFi enabled and for some reason my Wifi disconnects (for example I go out of reach), my phone keeps asking me, each and every time, if it's allowed to use Mobile Data. if I don't answer, my mobile data does not connect thus I can't recieve any mails etc which is highly annoying.
This is the exact error/popup message that I get:
Data connection change. WLAN is unavailable, try to connect to mobile network?
I've googled this exact phrase, but I get 0 results. How can I prevent my phone from asking if it's allowed to use mobile data?
I do have a Ace 2 (I8160) but I can't get the mobile on the Wifi and he keeps saying: trying to get the IP-adress

1) NVRAM warning Err 0x10
2) Wifi always disconnect after able to obtain IP and browse internet a few seconds
3) Noticed that the MAC address last 6 digits are always changing, like 00:08:22:XX:XX:XX after I enable/disable the wifi
4) IPLINK SHOW ETH0 -- error: Can't find device 'eth0' , but WLAN0 is present
5) NetCfg command shows only Lo, wlan0, tunl0,sit0,ip6tnl0,ccmni0,ccmni1,ccmni2. but the Eth0 is not present?
Those problems originally found at the original rom. I have downloaded another similar rom but still not okay.
I downloaded the MIUI rom but only updates the system.img, recovery.img, boot.img. other image files were the same. The WIFI errors are still there.
I had to factory reset my router and now when i try to connect my phone to the wifi all i get is "Obtaining IP address".

I have the MotoX on AT&T. My phone's address book ("People") won't sync with AT&T's online address book over WiFi. When I turn my phone's WiFi connection off, I can sync my address book. When I turn my phone's WiFi connection on, I can't sync. I tried this several times.

I got myself a Chinese clone of a galaxy S3 (alps 7102), it has Android's Jelly Bean 4.1.1 operating system on it.
It keeps on changing its wi-fi mac address on reboot which I guess I could put up with, I have seen other posts with similar problems on varying phones and have tried to fix it, as per the methods described for them, but I cant seem to get a fix that works, for my phone I am not very familiar with the android operating system but have some experience with linux.
The phone doesn't seem to have a bootloader as I have tried to boot the phones bootloader with the adb command "adb reboot- bootloader" from my pc but it just boots as usual, I have done a factory reset to the phone as per the instructions from the ebayer that I bought the phone from but that didn't fix it (as you might have guessed) but it did reset the phones serial number to 0123456789ABCDEF which I have no idea why that happened but has added to the issues that I would like to be fixed.

Street and Number, Floor and Department number
Town, zip code
State
Country
Example;
Av. Whatever 12345, Floor 5-A
Buenos Aires 1007
Argentina
When clicking on the address the GPS of my wish opens , finds the country, city but not the street because of the additional Floor and department information. Without this additional information everything well with Google Maps or Sygic.
So, how should i add this additional Floor and department information to my address without the GPS has problems to find the main location.Also from ICS on there is only one filed to add the whole address not as with Gingerbread where you had a field for street, city, etc.
wifi was fine at first but now when i turn wifi back on it says remembered secured with wps/wpa2 psk

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to connect my Eris to my wifi network, it always says Unsuccessful when trying to obtain an ip address. But if I enable to to use a static ip, it connects fine. Its annoying for me though, because if I'm out and want to connect to a different wifi, I have to disable the static ip. I'd like to get it so I don't have to use a static ip address at my house. Any ideas?
Does anyone know what ip address it tries to obtain when static isn't on? The two computers on my network are using .100 and .104. I figured that my phone would pick one not in use, but maybe it's set on trying to get one of those?
