the settings of our beloved fritzbox (controls wlan). So she just cut my internet for a special time (which i dont know exactly, but I am pretty sure its not longer than until 10oclock (evening - is pm right?).She set times for the device-concerning macadress i think so i want to ask if and how i can change the mac address of my smartphone (sony xperia x10 with ics, rooted, custom kernel and -rom)?
I already.tried to modify her settings but no of her passwords i know works (shes very effectiv in ruining my life).or what.could be the preset password? (already tried wpa, serial and article number....)

There are a lot of app that did this but they ate not working on my ROM.
My phone is a ZTE V987.
I want to change the Mac address because it seems that my Mac address is blacklisted on the hotstop that I want to use.

I need to change the network address of android tethering mode. The default network is 192.168.43.x/24, i need to set it at 192.168.16.x/24, is it possible?
otherwise how can i create a bridge or something else beetwen 2 different network interfaces?
Because i've a scale connected to my android phone (192.168.43.x), the phone is connected to a VPN (192.168.16.x) and from a PC i must be able to "talk" to the scale.

I like to add addresses to my phone book in Android. As a lot of my contacts live in buildings i also like to add the floor and apartment number to the address: Looking like that:
Street and Number, Floor and Department number
Town, zip code
State
Country
Example;
Av. Whatever 12345, Floor 5-A
Buenos Aires 1007
Argentina
When clicking on the address the GPS of my wish opens , finds the country, city but not the street because of the additional Floor and department information. Without this additional information everything well with Google Maps or Sygic.
So, how should i add this additional Floor and department information to my address without the GPS has problems to find the main location.Also from ICS on there is only one filed to add the whole address not as with Gingerbread where you had a field for street, city, etc.

I have multiple gmail addresses set up on my phone through the gmail app.However, when I use any HTC app (People,Gallery)and try to send an email through these apps (I believe it directs me to the HTC mail app), I can only send emails from one of my addresses (which is not my primary address).Does anyone know of a way to switch primary email addresses for HTC apps or how to at least switch on the fly between different addresses when sending emails launched from other HTC apps (People, Gallery, etc.).

I have spent hours and hours on the forum and on my phone trying to figure out how to set up email so it works the way I need to on the phone:
- I CANNOT change my email address
- Download my emails from comcast to the phone and leave them on the server so I can download them to my computer (I set my email client to remove emails from server at different intervals as needed)
- DELETE mails on the phone BOTH in the Inbox and in the Trash on the phone (without deleting them from the comcast server)
- ADD recipients in my replies and preferably myself by default (or possibly as Bcc)
- ADD a several text lines (like a Vcard) automatically at the end of all the emails I send
I tried setting up my comcast mail on the Email app (not GMail or Work mail) - it does neither of the things I need. I tried K-9 and found no way to delete from Trash - which is the main reason I tried it.

Just getting used to my HTC Desire, after reading your forum I was comforted regarding battery life and it seems much better now than the first few days.
I see another post on this but no answer, the address book only gives one line of the address is then any way round this? Even my first pda a Psion 3 had the option of which fields to display etc. there seems very little option to format what is seen, not that I am unhappy about the rest but to have to edit to see all the address is barmy.
Another thing way back then that still is not found is search all fields of the contacts, i.e. to find a number of someone that rang on another phone.

The Gmail address book on the Web contains a field for birthdays, so why not the Android address book? While I'm sure the app could undergo a lot of changes (and everyone would have different ideas) something as basic as a birthday seems obvious.

I own a Chinese smartphone called Dapeng i9877.I tried to root it but something went wrong and the cellphone bricked.I searched online and I found the original files to restore my cellphone,Everything is ok except some problems.The cellphone now has no IMEI , no Serial Number , no MAC address.I found a way to restore the IMEI so OK but I cant connect to the net without a MAC address so no wi-fi and Bluetooth. With Google's voice action (or voice search), I can use the "navigate to" command to start the navigation app directly. However, this seems to work only with address, name of places.For example, I tried "navigate to 1234 main street" or "navigate to san jose airport" or "navigate to Starbucks on oakland road". The commands were recognized in all cases. For the last one, it prompted me with a list of choices for the end points, and once selected, proceeded correctly with the navigation.
However, if I say "navigate to John Doe home", although it also recognized the command correctly (i.e. it came up with the prompt "navigate to john doe home" and asked me to choose "go" or "cancel"), it would not come up with the correct address from the contact list as the end point to navigate to, but instead it would come up with a list of end points not related to John Doe at all, even if I have John Doe in my contact list (with the home address).
I googled around and it appeared that other users have also experienced similar problems, with some dating back 2-3 years ago. I just discovered this since I just switched from iPhone to a Samsung Skyrocket (with Gingerbread v2.3.6). Seems to be a simple problem to resolve. I can't believe that this problem is not (AFAIK) getting the attention of Google as I think this would be encountered by a lot of people.
Also I am wondering if there is a way to get around this beside giving the full address in the voice search command.
