I have an HTC Evo. I hope I'm posting in the correct area. I had my phone number changed and the phone identity shows the old number. How can I change it? I ask because I had some voice mails that I didn't know about, I didnt get a notification. When I click on the voice mail icon, it says no voicemail. I have to dial my phone number to get the voicemail.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have multiple gmail addresses set up on my phone through the gmail app.However, when I use any HTC app (People,Gallery)and try to send an email through these apps (I believe it directs me to the HTC mail app), I can only send emails from one of my addresses (which is not my primary address).Does anyone know of a way to switch primary email addresses for HTC apps or how to at least switch on the fly between different addresses when sending emails launched from other HTC apps (People, Gallery, etc.).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have spent hours and hours on the forum and on my phone trying to figure out how to set up email so it works the way I need to on the phone:
- I CANNOT change my email address
- Download my emails from comcast to the phone and leave them on the server so I can download them to my computer (I set my email client to remove emails from server at different intervals as needed)
- DELETE mails on the phone BOTH in the Inbox and in the Trash on the phone (without deleting them from the comcast server)
- ADD recipients in my replies and preferably myself by default (or possibly as Bcc)
- ADD a several text lines (like a Vcard) automatically at the end of all the emails I send
I tried setting up my comcast mail on the Email app (not GMail or Work mail) - it does neither of the things I need. I tried K-9 and found no way to delete from Trash - which is the main reason I tried it.
i had to deleted my old Gmail account and create a new one. On my Samsung Galaxy Note 2, when i go into play store, it doesn't come up with my current applications on my phone. How do I transfer it from my email account to new account for play store?

First things first, please tell me if that's wrong and I'll be happy. If however I'm right, What's the best way to go about saving everything? If I download a backup program, will it store all my settings, apps etc or just data on the SD card? And will changing the email address bugger something up and stop me from restoring the backup? I wouldn't put it past google.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was having trouble seeing all my saved mail on my AOL email setup through the Mail App. I tried deleting my AOL Email address so I could reinstall it. I started the process to delete it but it lock up during the process. The phone wouldn't respond to anything so I had to turn it off. When I turned it back on the Mail App shows I have emails but when I tap on it, it comes up to a screen that says choose a mail provider. Choices are Exchange Activesync or Other (POP3/IMAP). I choose Other (POP/IMAP), entered email address & password. It came up to a warning screen (an account with the email address already exists. It doesn't allow me to complete the setup. It seems it deleted part of the email address setup but it still remembers the old setup. Is there anyway to totally delete this email address to start all over without resetting the phone?

I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

I have no trouble revieving email through the email setup not Gmail but there is no provision for an address book or contacts list for sending emails. I Googled around and found K-9 Email and went to Google Apps to download it and upon tapping the download button a message came up stating "no devices found". The Nexus7 is running Jellybeen 4.2.1.

so it shows "mynamex98765321098765@sprintpcs.com" I saw that someone elses evo shows that persons @sprintpcs.com minus the numbers. I cant ask the person cause hes not around anymore.

I don't want to give my number out to every app I install. Yes I understand I can not install apps that require this permission, but is there a way to "Spoof" this permission. in other words if an app requests my phone identity, it would return a fake number instead of my real number?

I have a simple app with a surfaceview nothing special one would say. However when installing on my phone I get two warnings.
1 - Phone calls
- read phone state and identity
2 - Storage
- modify/delete SD card content.
My really is nothing more than a simple puzzle and I dont understand why I get these warnings.
I obviously have my main gmail account running. But my school also uses gmail for our school email's but our address is xxxx@mail.usf.edu. How do I go about adding that as my second email account on the phone? I think I was on the right track, but I don't know what type of server it is, which I think is the main thing I'm asking here. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use "note to self" and it records fine and I hit send, It then pops up email clients. if i choose, yahoo it doesn't autofill anything, if i choose the built in mail app it auto fills the subject and the message but it does not have my email address as a default, so I have to type it in every time. Since it is note to self, shouldn't it keep my email address in there. I haven't found a way to make it default. Any suggestions?
