I downloaded android 4.0.4 version without any trouble.Yesterday I tried to get the jelly bean version.Everything went good till the point he was going to start. (Battery was full-loaded, no doubts about that).Then suddenly the phone didn't react anymore.I tried everything, even volume down+home button +power button.The phone also won't connect with PC.So i can't use Odin and download another version.

I just installed both kies and kies 3 to my pc and my phone was unable to connect to either one. my us has phone has been debugged my phone and i checked under connections for kies and it was no where to be found. i am running andorid 4.3 on my samsung galaxy s4. connect my phone to my pc should not be this difficult

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an LG Optimus S that I am trying to root, however I can't get it to connect to my PC. My brother has the same device and his connects fine right away to my system, however mine does nothing but charge when connected (used same drivers, PC, chord, etc.)
I tried restoring it to factory settings and no luck. Later took it to Sprint and he just re-updated the software and it connected right away to their PC. Then as soon as I got home it didn't connect again.
Also tried with my work laptop. His connects, mine doesn't. Could there be a reason why mine didn't work as soon as I got back from the store?
I made sure that the settings from by brothers phone matched mine and verified that the software is identical.
I have just bought an Android Smart TV Box (to replace my AC Ryan media box which gave up the ghost a few days ago) and it mostly works fine - it is connected to my tv via hdmi and the box is hard wired to my router - so it is the standard connection setup. I have two usb hard drives connected to it. I obviously want to drag and drop media files from my phone (android) or my laptop (Windows7) to the connected hard drives I use ES Explorer app on my phone and Windows explorer but using either version I cannot see the Android box wirelessly - if i do a scan using es explorer it finds the laptop straight away and i can drag and drop but it just will not find the android box at all. However if i go onto the Android box and into the es explorer app and do a scan it picks up the laptop and i can drag and drop a file onto the laptop. So the wireless is sort of working as opposed to not at all. But just seems odd that i cant see it at all - i cant even ping it from the laptop.

I can start the MsfRpcd ( the metasploit daemon ) from a su shell an make it bind to the 127.0.0.1 address.
I can connect to the server using busybox netcat ( no Java though here ).
I can't connect to 127.0.0.1 from the android app! i got ECONNREFUSED.
After a bit of google i understood that JavaVM have a separate network and it filter out my connection to localhost/127.0.0.1.
how can i connect to a service bind to 127.0.0.1 on my phone from an android app?
I gave a quick look at iptables -L output, maybe i can make some hack there, but probably i will break the JavaVM network.
Binding on wifi ip is not an answer.

My HTC EVO 4G LTE is having a major problem. When connected to my home modem it will not connect to the internet at all. When I disconnect wifi in the settings the phone will crawl along at Sprint 3G speeds. Laptops, tvs, chromecast and Roku are all working properly from the same modem. I've reset the modem, restarted the phone numerous times, just updated the phone (was happening before and after the update) and still no luck. I've scoured the internet looking for answers but nothing so far.

I have a HTC Hero (Android version 1.5) and Win Prof SP 3. I have tried to synchronize the phone using HTC Sync (HTC Hero - HTC Sync upgrade for HTC Magic, Hero &Tattoo) but the phone do not react when i have connected using USB cable same as the HTC Sync. When connecting an EVO to a computer are you shown just the information on the SD card or information from the actual phone or Both???? im wanting to be able to view applications that i have downloaded from the android market. View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I plug my HTC Hero (UK) into my laptop, it used to in the notifications bar offer me Mount SD Card (or something similar) and connect to HTC Sync. Now when I plug it in, all it does is charge the phone with neither of those things being offered. Can anyone tell me why my phone is doing this and how to rectify it? I don't want to do a hard reset as all my contacts are on my phone and sync, and if that doesn't solve the issue, then I wont be able to pull my contacts back onto the phone.
My PC also comes up with USB Device Not Recognized and says it is an unknown device. I'm not great with computers so I don't know if that's relevant or if it helps.
Is it possible to run ADB over a Bluetooth connection rather than over USB? I ask because I'm having some real issues getting my phone to connect by USB. I've asked about this here before and nothing seems to work, so, I'm looking for alternatives to USB.

Big thanks to Toe-cutter who was very patient with both my lack of knowledge and of patience! I'm looking for some help in connecting my Hero to my computer. I haven't has problems until today but now I can't get the darn phone to connect. I have tried my work computer (Windows XP) and my home computer (Vista) and I have also tried four different usb cables, including the HTC one. I have also done a factory reset, taking the battery out and anything else I can think of including reinstalling the drivers & HTC sync If anyone can help I'd appreciate it - I need to be able to sync my phone to my calendar for work. Oh, by the way - I am not in the slightest way technically competent!

I've set debugging to come on as I read somewhere that would enable the phone to connect to my mac but it's not working. The computer can see the phone when I plug it in as a disk drive though.
