I made mistake when clicked forget bluetooth device and now I can't get it back. It is my car handsfree and I can't rename it.
How to get back my device in bluetooth list?

In my android application i have a video list screen,a buffering screen and a videoplayer screen.
As soon as the user clicks an item from videolist screen ,he is navigated to buffering screen and then to videoplayer.
In the buffering screen i am using Async task and doing the loading process in on background process.
Now my issue is like the user if has selested a video then gets navigated to buffering screen.But if the user clicks back when he is in buffering screen then initially he is getting navigated to videolist screen but immediately after that again he is navigated to videoplayer screen.
What i would like to have is either the back button should be made disable in buffering or should prevent the player tostart if back is clicked.
Is there any way to determine when the user clicked the app icon to launch the app ? I mean say a user was using my app. Then he presses the home key as a result of which the app goes to the background. After sometime he clicks the app icon again. My question is do I get a call-back for this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAt home I turn off my wifi when I go to work and when I turn it back on, my nexus 5 doesn't remember the password. My nexus S was the same. This recommends switching my router to WEP (it's currently WPA-PSK), however I'm not sure I actually CAN change this in my router settings. Shouldn't it just work anyway, or is it a router problem? Should I just stop turning off the router? This feels like it shouldn't be a problem: why can't the phone simply paste the password into the box for this specific router name & ID, rather than me typing it?

I want to go running with a friend...can she buy the same headphones and connect to my phone as well so we can both listen to the same music as we run?
In other words, can one device (my droid) pair with 2 bluetooth receivers simultaneously?
Windows 7 (64 bit) Dell Desktop PC and my lovely new Sony Xperia Z1 trying to send files via Bluetooth rather than keep plugging and unplugging the USB cable and risk breaking the cover. well that was my plan anyway.The Dell didn't come with Bluetooth so I bought a wee plug-in USB Bluetooth unit. I have managed to copy a couple of files but it took ages to get it to connect properly and now it won't do it at all.There are 4 driver messages under hardware which all show problems with Bluetooth peripheral device and no drivers installed, but I can't find any anywhere?

I have a second, older phone, that I am repurposing.
I have an MSI Windpad Enjoy 7 Tab that I used to to connect to an ELM327 OBDII bluetooth dongle for car diagnostics (torque app).
After upgrading from froyo to gingerbread, my tablet bluetooth doesn't detect the elm327 anymore, it also doesn't detect my car kit but it still detects other android phones perfectly well.
I know it's not a hardware problem or incompatibility since I already paired that device to this tablet before, it's a scan problem.
So here's my question: is there a way to "force feed" the bluetooth address of a device into android so it doesn't have to rely on a scan to find it?

Few months back Bluetooth worked fine in my HTC Velocity 4G and the OS was 2.x.x. Suddenly it started to malfunction. Bluetooth is working. Can search and find for Bluetooth devices. Can pair (but doesn't ask for the passcode confirmation). But,
1. Cannot connect to the paired device.
2. Cannot send or receive files. When share through Bluetooth it just nothing happens. Same for the file receiving.
I did reset but didn't solve the problem. Therefore I updated the OS to 4.0.3, then reset the phone. But no result.
Is it possible to control an Android device with a Bluetooth headset? I have a friend with a Windows phone who can listen to and reply to text messages as well as initiate calls through his bluetooth headset without touching the phone. It's very very cool, and I don't know that my Android has an answer to it. I would love to be able to do this on my Android and to use Evi through my bluetooth device. I have FlexT9 from Nuance, but it seems to require that I speak into the phone's microphone, as does Evi.

I have a Mtk6577 based device (WIKO cink slim or fly IQ442) and i found a fonctionnal miui rom for this device "port from other MTk6577 device wich are very very similar, instead of Wifi Bt and gps chipset) So Wifi and BT dosen't want to start, even if we press the ON button. it's the same thing for BT and gps.So i would like to fix that, i tried with the kernel I hqve Compiled from manufacturer sources, but there still that problem.

Theres a uncured network outside my house and whenever I leave for a while and come back my evo automatically connects to it even though I always click it and press forget than manually connect to mine again but whenever I leave and come back I have to do it all over again. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to establish a Bluetooth communication between an Android phone and a remote device.The class of the remote device is a basic one just a simple Bluetooth adapter.When I use the Bluetooth scan devices function,the phone recognizes devices from different class (ex. computer, phone, Bluetooth headset) but not this one.I tried it on a Samsung Galaxy Theos and a HTC Wildfire with Android 2.1 but I got the same result with both.Is that possible that the phone manufacturer or Android filters certain class of devices? Otherwise, is there another way to make this device discoverable?

Had a few places (hotel, boat cruise, wineries, Santa Barbara Mission, some restaurants, that taco stand Julia Child made famous, etc.), and just created a contact for each. No inputting on phone or using voice, it's already done.Had concert @ Hollywood Bowl. They have shuttle service at some offsite locations like the LA Zoo or in Studio City. I just create a group called Concerts, and copy and paste address from website.Meeting friend at bar never been to? Already have a Group called Bars. Just copy and paste address, and your done.I have groups for everything. Family, San Francisco, San Diego friends, Hotels, Bars, sporting venues, whatever. I cross link whenever I can, Just hit People and slide over to Groups. The whole goal for me is just to hit buttons, and not have to input anything when I'm on run. Use it like AppBrain. So much easier to manage everything from Google contacts page. Just copy and paste eveything.Best part is, can delete or add anytime.Also saves me battery since doing stuff on computer, and everything is synced automatically.

Usually a drive should be installed and then it should be visible on my computer. But this doesn't happen. How do I get it to work? I don't use kies because it is rubbish and don't need it. I have a problem with the pairing of my Nokia 6300 phone and my new HTC Desire.
I paired the devices and ticked "Always Trust Device"
The HTC shows the devices as paired.
HOWEVER in order to transfer date from the Nokia to the HTC I always need to make the HTC discoverable before anything will happen.
This is particularly annoying since I 'm trying to transfer my photo collection and this has to be done photo by photo.
