Solution: Searching for an APP or maybe even a program for MAC for bulk editing my VCF card.

Ok guys, I got a problem before using Backup/Restore... I notice that everytime I restore my contact, the "STARRED IN ANDROID" check box accumulates (see pix below).. Those unchecked box represents the number of times I restore my contact.
After further investigation, I tried to restore different backup data and found out that the number or "STARRED IN ANDROID" represents the number I backed up my data.
I think, this is one bug of Backup/Restore application that need to be fixed.
I want to clean up my SD card due to the fact that it has become rather full with all the flashing/nandroiding/rooting/etc. I was wondering if I could just wipe the SD card from the phone and everything will be ok or are there certain files that if I cannot delete. Obviously I would back up my SD card onto my computer before proceeding. Just wanted to get some feedback from someone who might have already done this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I noticed some smudges in all of my photos (see attached pictures). I thought it was just a dirty lens but I took the lens cover off and cleaned the lens thoroughly. It's not the lens cover either because even with the cover off the smudges are still there. The lens itself seems pretty sealed with no easy way to open it up, plus it's a bit too risky for me to attempt since I don't want to break anything. I bought the phone in another country so taking it back to get it fixed is not an option. I looked back at all the pictures I've taken and it seems to show up all of a sudden. I don't think it's software related because it shows up in the stock camera app as well as 3rd party apps. Also, sometimes I get horizontal lines in my photos especially if there is a lot of white background (see pic#2). I'm not as concerned about that though.
P.S. I have a Galaxy S2 from T-Mobile.
How do you wipe a phone completely clean? My husband has a new job w/ phone, so we want to get rid of his Charge. I have a DInc that I plan on shedding before year's end, and I too want to make sure all personal info, pics etc. are off. Do I just learn how to restore to factory setting & remove the sd card?

I thought killing apps was unnecessary since Android does this automatically when RAM is full and that killing apps manually actually drains battery life. What's the deal? Is swiping an app away from the Recent Apps List the same as killing an app? I currently do this often because the list is usually packed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI could not find this particular problem. i just switched to 2.1 and had a bit of trouble restoring my contacts with my backup pro. long story short, i imported most of my contacts back into gmail, did a sync but my contact card is inaccessible. it just reads loading with the working circle icon. i realize its not at the top of the list of problems but i would like to have all my info there in the event of losing the phone or otherwise. anyone else encounter this issue or have i popped?

This means when i receive a text i get to see a picture of who has sent it, but when i reply i do not have a picture and can not add one. When I want to send my vCard (or any contact card) I can only choose from Bluetooth, MMS (costs money) or the "HTC" Mail apps. Since I use a Gmail account I don't have any other mail clients configured. Am I doing something wrong? Have I missed some setting that will allow me to send a contact card via Gmail?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I go into People -> My Contact Card, my birthday is showing with the little facebook "F" there. I don't want my birthday showing (in fact I don't want anything from facebook integrating with any part of my phone).
Under Settings -> Accounts and Sync, I have facebook set to not sync.
When on My Contact Card, I click Menu -> Edit, and beside Birthday it says "Click to add". When I click the cross beside that, that entry disappears, but when I click Save, the Birthday is still present.
At the top of the Contacts section is a "My Contact Card". Now I think this has something to do with Facebook contacts which I do not sync with. Has anyone figured out how to delete that if were not going to have access to it to edit? I kind of like things working or have themgone........
