For example: I am in a train and I have a movie in my android phone and I want to see it but also share it with my friend on his tablet. I would like to see it in both devices at the same time. Is this possible? Do I need to download an app for this, to sync the reproduction of the video or music?
Can I use Wi-Fi direct or use a Bluetooth connection?
Can it be this made only between android devices or can it be a mix of Os such: android to iOs (apple)?

I use mNotes to push my Lotus Notes email to my phone. The problem is it will only allow one device to sync with. If I try to sync both tablet and phone it will drop the other out. I am looking for a way to sync my tablet email with my phone over bluetooth and basically use my phone as the main server to send email through when I am not in the office.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Samsung Conquer 4g on the Sprint network. I downloaded Wifi tether App (had to go to a website on my computer, then use the QR scanner app on my phone to download the app since Sprint won't allow it on the Android market place.) So my problem is now that my laptop and Ipod touch can see the wifi hot spot and connect to it just fine BUT my Honeycomb Acer Iconia Tablet A100 can't find the SSID wifi connection. It shows all other connections except for my wifi hotspot. why it won't show up on my tablet?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy question is this: is there any app that can log all the (macro) actions that have been done by the system? I'm referring to something which can produce logs for "<time> <app> started", "<time> <app> closed", "<time> <alert> presented", "<time> call from <contact> received/ended", "<time> data packet sent/received <size>", and other similar system related messages, the more, the better.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 7 tablet and every few days I notice a few new apps on the device. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

I have a dropbox folder with a Microsoft Excel document stored in it. This excel file contains a list of web links on it.
My goal is to use my Galaxy S4 phone to open this file though dropbox and then click on the links and then have the web pages open up in my phone browser.
Currently, my Galaxy S4 phone does have the dropbox app on it. My phone is able to access the excel file in dropbox just fine by using the Polaris Office App. However, when I click on the links within the Excel file, it does not forward me to the web pages.
Is there some way for me to click on the links on this Excel file and then be forwarded to the corresponding web pages? Perhaps there is an App other than Polaris which is capable of doing this?
How do I get emails to open attachments that use excel? I downloaded docs to go but when I open the email and try to open the attachment, it says the attachment can't be displayed. It works very nicely on my Storm 2, but I switch back and forth with the droid and need to be able to open the docs with the droid as well.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have managed to destroy the build.prop file whilst trying to enhance my excel experience and am now stuck in a boot loop (made very stupid mistake using file from a different scroll product).
I cannot seem to connect to the device with ADB to replace the build.prop with the backup that I took.I can get to the Android system recovery <3e> screen where my options are as follows:
Check hardware
Apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot system now
I have tried factory reset and wipe cache but obviously this had no affect and all attempts to locate an update.zip file for this device have failed.
There seem to be 74 different apps that switch sound profiles or dim the screen and turn stuff on and off. But why is there no consolidated macro program? Not just for profiles, but to control other things as well. Like being able to place a shortcut on your home screen labeled "Go Home", and when it's pressed, it turns on GPS, turn off screen timeout, opens Google Maps Navigation, and sets the destination to whatever your own address is.
Or instead of using the YouTube app by itself, make a shortcut that turns off screen timeout, sets brightness to 100%, maybe turns on wifi, and opens the YouTube app. An app that allows you to write a series of actions, including switching profiles, turning things on and off, opening or closing programs, even changing settings inside a program, like the aforementioned setting a predetermined address as the destination inside Navigation, would be awesome. It would be nice to save a little time by having the same 4 or 5 different actions you do to do the same thing each time all consolidated into a shortcut or something, especially when driving. Is there any program like this, and if not, how come?

I want to use an android tablet to take on to building sites for site measures. I use excel spreadsheets to record measurements.
I want to write numbers and text in boxes and have a program convert them to typed text. Can this be done? Does an application exist?
I am searching for a macro for Android. For example, some application will start at certain time, then click (or touch) the menu itself as I've previously saved in the macro. Similar app for Windows Mobile is "Vito Buttonmapper" I think. Does the application "Tasker" do the same thing that I described? Or is there any other application?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know I just must be over looking it but I can't find a macro setting on Vignette camera. Is it called something else? I thought maybe it just did it automatically but the pics I have tried to take close up were nothing like the stock macro on the X. I'm sure its user error because this app has everything but I can't figure it out.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any application that allows placing a shortcut on the home screen to a sequence of actions? That one shortcut would, for instance:
Set WiFi Off
Set the Car Mode app on
Set the Disable Car Screen app on
Toggle from 3G to 2G
or another macro shortcut could:
Turn the LockRinger app off
Switch to Silent mode
Turn WiFi on
I've been searching the app market but, so far, I haven't discovered anything offering that sort of handy functionality.
Did anyone figure out how to turn it on or is it not included.also how can haptic feedback be incorporated into the whole UI, it seems to be only in the keypad.

Given a choice, I would still prefer my regular shooter, but I am quite satisfied with what the EVO camera can do in a pinch. Video is still a bit disappointing, but again, good for a phone.
When I take pictures I can do macro right so I can up close, is there a way to video record in macro? Cause when I record and get close to things its too blurry.
View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Palm Treo 680, I was able to type a keyboard shortcut or macro to put in the current date and time in a string of text.On the Palm, I typed ".dts" and it returned a macro of "@@ds @@ts", which then returned the current date and time, using ShortCut5 in Prefs. Even on the PC, I use "zds" to return a similar date and time stream - this is using "autoworkers" - 28/6/2010 2:21 PM.Is there some sort of keyboard macro or auto text or shortcut method to do this with the HTC Desire ?(I will probably be asking a lot of "on the Palm Treo 680 I could, how do I on HTC Desire" questions, as I migrate to my new device. Please bear with me)
