General :: How To Hide Gmail Address In Account And Sync In Settings
Apr 8, 2011I have a few email address' and I would like to know if there is anyway to hide 1 of those email address' from the Accounts & Sync in the Settings. Either that or anyway to reorganize the way the address' show up so I can keep 1 address out of site if the phone is checked?

Jan 23, 2013I like to add addresses to my phone book in Android. As a lot of my contacts live in buildings i also like to add the floor and apartment number to the address: Looking like that:
Street and Number, Floor and Department number
Town, zip code
State
Country
Example;
Av. Whatever 12345, Floor 5-A
Buenos Aires 1007
Argentina
When clicking on the address the GPS of my wish opens , finds the country, city but not the street because of the additional Floor and department information. Without this additional information everything well with Google Maps or Sygic.
So, how should i add this additional Floor and department information to my address without the GPS has problems to find the main location.Also from ICS on there is only one filed to add the whole address not as with Gingerbread where you had a field for street, city, etc.

HTC Desire :: Address Book Only Gives One Line Of Address
May 30, 2010Just getting used to my HTC Desire, after reading your forum I was comforted regarding battery life and it seems much better now than the first few days.
I see another post on this but no answer, the address book only gives one line of the address is then any way round this? Even my first pda a Psion 3 had the option of which fields to display etc. there seems very little option to format what is seen, not that I am unhappy about the rest but to have to edit to see all the address is barmy.
Another thing way back then that still is not found is search all fields of the contacts, i.e. to find a number of someone that rang on another phone.

Apr 29, 2013I bought a Galaxy S4 wit Android 4.2.2 preinstalled. In my Company we are allowed to sync with Active Sync/Exchange our Mails, Contacs and Calendar. But we are only allowed to use it with Windows Mobile and iOS!
The Sync with my Galaxy works perfect but when I check the sync protocoll in my Outlook Web Access Account they will see that I am syncing a Android device.

Cool tablet but coming from Blackberry Playbook (still own it) it just kills me that the taskbar (i think this is how it is called) is always visible whether watching a movie or playing a game. Brilliant, the application is password protected and has remote wipe capabilities, but that still isn't enough for them! Which means I'm stuck carrying two phones around. I would like to either hide superuser/su/root from the phone when I'm not needing the escalated rights, or just block it from seeing it completely.

In there, all the red parts contain tutorials on settings that don't actually work on my device, and for OCD sake, I don't want them appearing in my settings because of it. But simply cutting them out of that file will make the settings app crash whenever i open that menu

Nov 24, 2013I've been using various ROMs (including various Xposed modules) in the past and most of them allow me to auto-hide the status bar.But whenever I swipe down from the top and the statusbar is displayed, it resizes the entire content on my phone.
What I was looking for is a statusbar that will show up above the content, like the immersive mode in KitKat but for JB so it doesn't resize my content but overlap it.
I know there are some apps that give you this kind of auto-hide status bar but it will only work in fullscreen apps, so I tried to make everything on my phone full screen (using expanded desktop) but it doesn't seem to work...

Is it possible to hide directories from the music player? Even better, can I tell the music player to only look under 'My Music' on the SD card?

So I am wondering how to hide or protect my phone when it's plugged in, just charging or as a disc drive. I could use a wall charger but when I want to do file transfers, I am not sure if anyone can access my phone (Samsung S4). I am not sure what kind of network our company is on, when I log in from home, it comes to a SSL-VPN screen, another says Sonic Wall.
