Anytime i am done using my phone it stays on unless i black it out by hitting the power button. shouldn't it do this automatically? If i get a text in the middle of the night it stays lit up killing my battery, how do i stop this?

Browser keeps exiting, but I've only noticed it when I visit a certain page. Nothing comes up as in a force closing it just goes back to my phones home screen. I've tried clearing cache and that didn't work. Its really annoying, & I don't want to have to download another browser thats a last resort for me.

I have a WM8505+ procesor and the software was for WM8605. Now the tablet does not turn on, black screen, no sound nothing. I saw on other forums and youtube that i can shortcircuit 2 pins from a Samsung chip on tablet motherboard but it`s not working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy aunt gave me a Samsung Galaxy S2 and everything was fine, except that it didn't let me register to the network. The next day it told me that it had to do an update so I did the update. After the update the home screen turned black and pressing the buttons didn't do anything. After a while an error pops up saying "application is not responding" and then the screen just stays black. The top bar works just fine and I can even go on the internet, play games, practically do everything. I did a factory reset by pressing Volume up + Home + Power 3 times already, but the only thing that changed is that the language turned into German.. the screen stays black. It had nothing to do with Rooting or Flashing, because I don't even know what that is.

When I slide my finger to go to Home Screen first thing I get is a blank screen, if I slide again I get a screen with Reccomende Play and Recommeded Apps plus the two icons I tried to put on my home screen. How do I get rid of the blank intermediate screen and how do I get rid of these Recommended things.

When i fire up my youtube app, i get a quick black screen flash and it goes back to home screen. The app doesnt launch at all. It was working just fine for several months, all of a sudden it started doing this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just finished my ota 2.2 update... since the install everything has been working great however when I open the camera (still or video) it will not open. The screen will turn black with the camera or video image and then go back to the home screen. I have tried restarting the phone with the same results. Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced this? btw I was unrooted and stock if that makes a difference prior to the update.

I just did a hard rest and now when the phone turns on, it just sits at a black home screen. The only thing i can do it hold down search and search the web, seems like from deleting some widgets it messed things up. Any way i can install a new from or something like that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSay a user runs my app from the HOME screen. The app has 3 tabs. Say he/she selectes a different tab, so he/she is in a different screen (same task). Now - if the user presses BACK - the device returns to the HOME screen. If the user launches my app again - the default tab is shown. BUT - if the user presses HOME - the device returns to the HOME screen (same). If the user launches my app again - the OTHER tab is shown.
I understand (sort of) the logic - BACK returns to previous app, popping my app from the history stack, so when launched again - it is started from scratch. But this is confusing my customers - they say it's a bug ! They dont understand the different between two keys doing the same thing as far as they see (returning to HOME). Moreover - I see a different behavior with the built-in DIALER app - I change tabs, press HOME, launch the app again - and it starts with the default tab.
Does anyone know of any buttons to use on the home screen for turning the mobile internet on and off? I use the power bar widget for screen brightness, bluetooth, WiFi etc., but it doesn't have mobile Internet!

Is there any app which can make night mode of selected apps (browser/gtalk/gmail/other few user selectable apps) background dark & font light / white similar to youtube app?
UC browser had this night mode earlier but latest version they have removed this feature. Ideally such app should be time sensitive & as the night time approaches it should start applying the night mode.
My HTC One X Plus fell down recently, and has got a ' triangle flag' like mark on the top left part of the screen. (But not on the Gorilla Screen). But each day, when I see it, the black mark getting disappeared , as forming lines in the triangle flag (the original screen getting viewed through the lines).
When I try the phone screenshot option, the complete screen is captured with no black mark on it.
When I contacted the service center, they asked me to replace the screen. That is very costly
Is it really needed to replace the screen or will it get disappeared eventually?
I am running cm7.03 with lordmodue6.7 on my htc inspire 4g. I just went to look at a video on youtube and noticed that their was no visual just audio. I uninstalled it then installed, but no luck. Afterwards i decided to check all other apps that play video like vevo and same problem. I uninstalled adobe flash player then installed it, but ALSO NO LUCK =[. I tried to put it in system/media and data/local and change boot animation and Samsung in system/bin and reboot but nothing happens.
My Galaxy S4 screen is just completely black. I can turn on my phone and even put in my pattern code on the screen, but it remains black. I have tried to reset it multiple times and I don't really know what to do. Any possible fix without having to get a repair.

But when I'm talking on the phone the screen goes black and if I try to unlock it to schedule something in my calendar, etc., the screen just goes black over and over and won't stay active long enough for me to unlock the screen. This is exceedingly frustrating since I can't use any apps when I'm on the phone, and I have to push the button on the top to get the screen to light up at all if I'm on the phone, it doesn't automatically light up if I take it away from my ear to look at something on my phone.
My Tablet shows black screen after a while animation android logo and no more work. So I tried factory reset. But factory reset doesn't proceed to recover menu. It shows only factory reset logo (Android logo with red triangle) like screenshot.
My tab has only 3 button (power, Volume up and down). I tried both of them. But the logo doesn't move. How to factory reset?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to build CWM for the HP Slate 7 Plus, but both touch and non-touch builds coming from the CWM Builder and manually built builds give a black screen with a few white lines when booted into recovery. The stock recovery.img I provided to the builder is valid because people were able to reflash the same recovery.img via Flashify with no issues, which is the same method used to flash the defunct CWM. I don't have the Slate 7 Plus, so I can't test things myself
The best I can do right now is debloat, deodex, and pre-root ROMs, as well as install more system apps.
! i was trying to install a new custom ROM ( C.A.M.P ) i had Cyanogenmod 10... i came to where i flash the new rom on my computer then when i wanted to fastboot reboot to install zip on phone, my computer shuts off, now when i turn my phone on it lights up black and stays like this and i cant do anything(no CWM no nothing) so i remove battery to turn off....

I was following this guide to upgrade my Sanei n10: [URL] In recovery mode I have installed the rom.zip, but after I pressed the wrong button and it turned off. Now, when I turn it on, leave the writing sanei and after few second remains on black screen.
If I try to entry in recovery mode with the vol+ button, it remains with the Android robot lying down with a red tiangolo, with no options.
What can I do to recover my tablet?

At first I thought it was only my last phone (RAZR HD), but the problem is also present on my Verizon Note 3. If it were just an issue on a single phone, I'd probably ask in specific phone forums, but it's happened on two different phones now.
I'm presuming that the problem might be caused by an app I'm using, but the problem is intermittent so I can't tell if the issue subsides when I uninstall certain apps.

I try to install new rom (fixed rom) on thl t11.
After i go in recovery mode i go in button "wipe all data" and after " yes - wipe data for all users"
Now when i turn on my mobile (power button) i get only black screen,nothing alse.

I dropped my phone for the first time ever today, and there are cracks under the screen, and no picture whatsoever. Sounds and buttons still work, and I can turn the phone on and off, but the display remains utterly blank. I've pretty much written the phone off, there's probably nothing I can do for it. However, I would love to recover my pictures, contacts, and music from the phone. Is there any way I can do this without being able to see the phone display?
