HTC Desire :: An App Like Nokia-PC-Suite?
Jun 8, 2010had my Desire for a few weeks, amazing peice of kit for sure but one thing I have been unable to find is an App like Nokia Pc suite that will allow me to look at my txt inbox and send txt msgs from my laptop when connected to the phone. As I am at work for 12 hours at a time it would be very handy to have the phone connected to the laptop so I can type txts on the laptop whilst I am working rather than having to divert my attention and look at the phone.

Sep 21, 2010I have searched through the forum and cant find an answer to this, I'm sorry if I have missed something. I have a Nokia ck-7w handsfree kit in my car, i can pair my desire with it and all seems ok until i try to make or receive a call. The Nokia unit mutes the radio but I can hear no sound at all, no ring tone or dial tones on outgoing calls and no voice on incoming calls.

Oct 22, 2010I'm interested in modding software and I would like to port Android to my Nokia 5800. So if there's anyone interested please give me some idea where to start, because there are many people that would like to make this idea possible. I was thinking about following:
I need to fetch Android ROM. I have chosen and downloaded v2.1 via SDK. - All of these files should be renamed to rofs3 and uda files according to Nokia firmware file names. - Correct bootloader is needed to make it running (for example OpeniBoot) - Drivers have to be extracted and edited for Android. The most important thing of all is display because its resolution is completely different than any seen Android phone. - Hardware shouldn't be a problem, it passed minimum requirements. So, is it possible to realize?

Jul 12, 2010My understanding is that once two devices are paired that they will happily exchange information with each other without further intervention and this is certainly my experience when working with Nokia phones and PCs.
I have a problem with the pairing of my Nokia 6300 phone and my new HTC Desire.
I paired the devices and ticked "Always Trust Device"
The HTC shows the devices as paired.
HOWEVER in order to transfer date from the Nokia to the HTC I always need to make the HTC discoverable before anything will happen.
This is particularly annoying since I 'm trying to transfer my photo collection and this has to be done photo by photo.

Feb 2, 2010I have a Nokia N900 - it's great and so powerful but I must admit I like something that is smooth and easy to use yet still hackable so I think I want to go back to an Android device.I know a few threads ask for advice etc and this one is no different!I want the best of both worlds but would prefer a hardware keyboard,when I say best of both worlds,I want a fast processor and at least as important a device with loads of ram and of course version 2.something of Android.I know my only option currently is the Nexus One (but no hardware keyboard) so I was wondering if there is anything up and coming (or if I should compromise my requirements list)
