Have there been any good RPG games made for Android yet that I just can't find on the Market? I'm not talking about the online or MMO ones like Parallel Kingdom or Mafia Wars. More interested in single player ones kinda like the old Final Fantasy's or Final Fantasy Tactics.

But is android just as good? I really want to know of games like COD WAW ZOMBIES if thats on android or if AC-130 SPECTRA GUNSHIP is on it? And how good is androids games? and Apps? compared to apples?

I was wondering what some good free games were. Im just looking for some fun games to kill time with and to play around with when Im bored. Id like to stay away from games like checkers and puzzle games if at all possible. Also if their are any Zombie related games I could get Id be EXTREMELY grateful. View 7 Replies View RelatedDon't get me wrong, I didn't get a desire for gaming (i think we have got a long way to go before Android is a viable gaming platform), but I am sometimes surprised by the Desire's inability to run some games properly. Snapdragon processors seem very good at number crunching, but struggle with graphics. Look at the Quake 2 comparison of the Galaxy S and the Desire. of course, the Galaxy S is going to win, but I was surprised just how bad the Desire game out. can't have been more than 3-5 frames per second. I have seen this in other areas to, like the recent Sims 3 conversion for Snapdragon processors. Again, once things get a bit busy on the screen, the snapdragon simply starts to drop a ton of frames. So, are we seeing devs not optimising games for snapdragon processors? Or are snapdragons simply no good for games? That said, raging thunder 2 runs quite well. Like I said, this is more out of interest than anything else. Really like the Desire and never intended to do much 3d gaming on it, but some early results have been a little disappointing.

One thing's that disappointed me is that all my apps have disappeared. I'm having a relapse in memory and for the life of me can't remember the apps I had installed. Anyone have any good apps to recommend? Good music players, good ebook readers, etc? Games?

Love racing games but unfortunately this phone can't handle graphics like the big boys out there. Really just looking for a fun game, doesn't have to be visually extreme.

Seriously, emulation is not good for performance, but most roms running on gensoid look and play better that games developed for Android. Sonic 3 looks lovely, runs at 60fps and never stutters. It even seems to look higher rez than most Android apps.Android platformer games are nowhere near as good looking or smooth.So what the hell is going on? The hardware on top end Android phones (Desire, galaxy etc) is clearly capable.

Apparently EA is bringing NFS to android! Engadget say it was demoed on the EVO yesterday. Are there any videos on the net of it? Also this might well mean we'll be seeing more high profile games coming to Android!

While I'm on the subject of gaming I have also downloaded the snesoid light and find the music and gaming a little sluggish. Is this just how it is or is there anything I can do to sort that? Would the full paid version work any better?

I'm also left wondering what happened to their other games such as Super Tumble, as only the Lite version is left. Maybe that's going free, too? Hyper Jump is also missing from my latest search (whereas the Lite version is there). I'm somewhat in shock as these are some quality games!? Hopefully we'll find out the full story soon.

(yes ik you have to have and adapter for the wii and then the smaller memory card for the phone) But would I be able to play that game for NES (that i downloaded from the wii) on my HTC Hero?
