Nov 7, 2009I Just played Baseball Superstar, and enjoyed it, but I don't want to pay for it. I've tried funky football, and that wasn't fun. I'm just trying to find some good sports games.

Games :: What Are Some Good Free Games?
Jun 28, 2010Im new to the droid family and I dont know much about them yet. Im getting my MotoDROID here in the next day or two and I just wanted to be prepared. I was wondering what some good free games were. Im just looking for some fun games to kill time with and to play around with when Im bored. Id like to stay away from games like checkers and puzzle games if at all possible. Also if their are any Zombie related games I could get Id be EXTREMELY grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sep 21, 2010It appears Camel Games is now giving these three games away. I'm also left wondering what happened to their other games such as Super Tumble, as only the Lite version is left. Maybe that's going free, too? Hyper Jump is also missing from my latest search (whereas the Lite version is there). I'm somewhat in shock as these are some quality games!? Hopefully we'll find out the full story soon.

Nov 8, 2010It's a hugely entertaining Puzzle Bobble-style reaction-tester. The aim is to fire brightly colored balls from a brightly colored cannon. When you get three brightly colored balls in a row, they disappear and you get some points. The tension comes as the balls wind their merry way towards a little yin-yang symbol. For some reason, the yin yang wants to eat your brightly colored balls--hey, it makes as much sense a blue hedgehog running around picking up rings. If it succeeds in swallowing your spherical friends, you lose. Robot Defense You don't get this tower defense game for free, but the demo is smashing anyway. Basically, the deal is that robots want to crush your human flesh and use your blood as some sort of newfangled robo-lubricant for their robotic joints. Your job is to protect your arse and the arses of those flesh-and-bone sacks closest to you. Battleship If you can play this game without hearing the "you sank my battleship" line from The Simpson's, we'll be very impressed indeed. There isn't much anyone can say that will persuade us that Battleship isn't one of the greatest games ever devised. And now, you can play it on your Android phone!

Aug 11, 2010Don't get me wrong, I didn't get a desire for gaming (i think we have got a long way to go before Android is a viable gaming platform), but I am sometimes surprised by the Desire's inability to run some games properly. Snapdragon processors seem very good at number crunching, but struggle with graphics. Look at the Quake 2 comparison of the Galaxy S and the Desire. of course, the Galaxy S is going to win, but I was surprised just how bad the Desire game out. can't have been more than 3-5 frames per second. I have seen this in other areas to, like the recent Sims 3 conversion for Snapdragon processors. Again, once things get a bit busy on the screen, the snapdragon simply starts to drop a ton of frames. So, are we seeing devs not optimising games for snapdragon processors? Or are snapdragons simply no good for games? That said, raging thunder 2 runs quite well. Like I said, this is more out of interest than anything else. Really like the Desire and never intended to do much 3d gaming on it, but some early results have been a little disappointing.

Aug 21, 2010Don't have 3D capabilities or a super phone like the EVO or Droid, it's the Samsung Intercept, which is an updated Moment. Love racing games but unfortunately this phone can't handle graphics like the big boys out there. Really just looking for a fun game, doesn't have to be visually extreme.

Games :: How Come Emulator Games Look Better Than Android Games?
Jul 10, 2010Seriously, emulation is not good for performance, but most roms running on gensoid look and play better that games developed for Android. Sonic 3 looks lovely, runs at 60fps and never stutters. It even seems to look higher rez than most Android apps.Android platformer games are nowhere near as good looking or smooth.So what the hell is going on? The hardware on top end Android phones (Desire, galaxy etc) is clearly capable.

The target is to make lines of three or more gems of the same color (in any direction), the more gems dissapearing at once, the more points earned. You can rotate the position of the gems falling by double tapping in the screen.
