Android :: Show Game To Fast Enough Phones In Market

I've been looking for a way to only show my game to "fast enough" phones in the Market but I can't find any good answer. Some people suggest to target by SDK, but that has nothing to do with the speed. I've seen some to target by screen size, but some Acer phones and the HTC Legend are fast enough for my game but have the same screen than the HTC Hero which is pretty slow.
I also saw some people filtering by OpenGL ES version but I can't find any sort of database that tells me which phones have OpenGL ES 2. Android 2.0 is supposed to support it, but I don't know if phones like the HTC Magic, after being updated to 2.0 will support it or they will be stuck in 1.1.

I'm bedroom developer and I'm finishing my first android game, Flee, which (hopefully) will be released in the coming weeks. I'm a bit scared to release it into the wild, cause I have only tested it in two different phone models (Samsung Spica, Motorola Milestone), and wouldn't like to receive a lot bad rating because of an elusive bug in the most popular phone. In exchange I offer myself to beta-test your apps/games, and if I find a proper way (because the market does not allow gifts right now), I'll give a free copy of the paid game to the testers. I've noticed some people swapping out their phones for 'issues'.How does this relate to the Android Market and apps you've purchased?If you swap to a new phone,will you be able to re-download apps we've paid for? or will we have to pay for it again?Also, what if the phone has a zagg or some other type of shield?Will Sprint replace this?or are we out of luck and have to purchase again?I have the static in the earpiece issue.we'll see how long I can last with that issue before it really gets on my nerves.

Anyone know of a simple 1X1 widget that will show me the phones temperature in Fahrenheit?
I use my Dinc a lot in the car for hours at a time using GPS, Pandora and maybe other apps. Running all of them can really heat up the phone so I like to keep an eye on it. I can see the temp if I pull the notification bar down using Battery Indicator but I'd like to be able to watch this with just a glance

I made a beta-version of a game which at the beginning was a testing- version. I solved more and more errors and made it faster and faster. Now I am getting to the point that it isn't a beta-version anymore. I have customers who like my free game and I also have old bad comments that my game was not working. Should I remove my beta-version and upload a completely new application to enhance my rating? (All my last comments were good) Or is there a possibility to remove old ratings?
I think it would be much better if the google-market will not include ratings of old versions into the total rating, because apps and versions change over time! Why doesn't google do this and how can I give this advice to google?

My family has got three android phones, an HTC Hero, a Samsung Galaxy, and a T-Mobile Pulse, all are running android 1.5 with the latest manufacturer firmware. On the T-Mobile Pulse, when searching for a couple of apps (ones that I have installed on the other two devices), I get returned 'no matches'. For example, if I search for 'BrightAI', which is a developer who has around 8 apps on the market, I get no matches. If I search for individual apps, I get 'no matches'. Searching for the same on either the Hero or Galaxy returns the expected results. Does anyone have any ideas why certain apps are accessible on one device, but not the other?

I had 1.25hrs of talk time use 60% of my battery. Not a good sign. Also, the reception has been very unstable, wavering between 1 and 3 bars all over town. My cheap Nokia go phone I was using had 4-5 bars everywhere. The wi-fi signal appears to show less bars than my other phones.

I'd like to announce the release on the Android Market of our last creation: 1 Minute Game. The main concept is very simple. The computer shows puzzles based on numbers, shapes and colours: the player must solve them and touch the correct answer to go to the next round, trying to be as fast as possible. We implemented 3 different modes that must be unlocked by playing more and more. You can play games under the "Training" areas so to train yourself and challenge your friends locally (there are 6 slots to store the profiles of the players).
Online Challenge
But the core of 1 Minute Game is the online challenge, which allows the players (once per day) to play a special match and to send the result to an online leader board. Each score shows also the nationality selected by each player try to get your country at top of the ranking. The ranking is visible both through the application and visiting the web site of the game.
Free DLC
In order to make the game more appealing and let you enjoy it for more time, we are developing new games to be released for free in the next versions of the application. For example, this morning (it's a matter of minutes) we will release the version 1.1 which contains a brand new game in the training section: The intruder. In each round, all of the objects shown on the screen share the same characteristic (same shape, colour, number or animation) except for one: that's the Intruder!
New games of logic will be released once they are completed and fully tested through future news.
LITE version
There is also a LITE version in the Market: 1 Minute Game LITE (limited number of levels, no online challenge and 2 slots to store the users' profiles), so you can try it and see if it is worth to buy the Full one. This LITE version includes the additional training "The Intruder" as well.

I hope its not just me. But there has to be an update for google maps by now.We are at 3.1.2 i think.When i search for google maps in the market, i get everything but google maps.I was trying to get infinity web browser as well, and this never shows up for me. But it is in the market.Just as Google's website says that google maps is on the market, and they dont offer a download.So, is sprint/Samsung blocking stuff in the market? do we have our own special market or something? I'm not seeing to many apps that say "must have root access" either.

I have a question about paid applications from AndroidMarket. I develop a multiplayer game witch interact with a Web site
Can I sell on Android Market an application, and then sell from the web site (not by the android market) some downloadable content or some extendable rights ?
Example : A RTS game on android market that allow you to obtain 500unit/days (normal functionning) And then on the webSite or from the Phone you charge to obtain +250unit/days
The game is fully functional but you can pay to obtain more turn, or more data food, or more etc ... as all web online game.

So after installing the FRF57 build of Froyo, I searched the Market for Skype Mobile, however it was not there. I found an .apk of it (version 1.0.0.6), but it doesn't support calls over WiFi. Can anyone tell me how I can get Skype Mobile to show in the 2.2 Market, or at least direct to a more current .apk of it?

Once you fill out the submission form and upload the apk, assuming the file is signed properly, etc, how long does it take an application to show up in the Market?The Dev Guide doesn't appear to mention this detail. I'm guessing it should show up almost immediately since I've never read anything about waiting for an approval process.

Tried to buy game tower raider. Click buy entered info clicked download it failed hit install everything failed over and over. So i hit refund and said it refunded. Looks like i got a charge pending of 2 buck. Do they charge for refunding. I didn't want to refund I want the game. Who do o contact. Thanks.

I have a little question, perhaps it's quite easy, but I've been looking for it for over a week now.
When I search on the market for a specific application, say "shazam", I get a message;
Suggestion
- Make sure all words are spelled correctly
- Try other keywords
- Try less specific keywords
However in the top bar it says
"1 result for Shazam"
But the result isn't showed. I have this problem with up to 9 search results.
I'm using a HTC Hero. Any suggestions on this one?

Just receive my Evo! My service/port is not yet activated but I am using the phone via Wifi. Why is the market slow? Searching is fine, but when I click through an app, it takes a while for the info to show up. The same is true with the install page. Just blank white boxes for a bit. Is this common?
The download page also takes quite a while to show up and it shows all the apps I've downloaded and used so far as STILL INSTALLING.

When I try to connect to the Market, it says "A network error has occured." In the notifications bar it has the 3G icon, and I'm able to use the browser without any troubles. Also, in the Google Maps app that comes with the phone, I don't see any map. I just see a grid with a blue circle with "Your Location" in the center. I'm was at the Verizon store yesterday because whenever I tried to call someone it said that my phone wasn't authenticated, and when I mentioned these two particular problems, he said that once my phone was authenticated everything should work.
