Forums suggest that you can do this by going to Settings -> Accounts, however for me I only have the option to add a "corporate" account, i.e. an Exchange account, not a Google Account. I wish to add this Google Account to test c2dm from the emulator. Does anyone know how to associate a Google account with the emulator in this build?

Nov 17, 2013Ever since Google started allowing offline maps (both in the old Google Maps incarnation, and in the current one), I have found that when I download a map section for offline viewing, often there are many details missing (small street names, for example).
Any way to make Google maps download map tiles to their maximum level of detail (the level you could get if you zoomed in all the way), including all street names? You'd think this would be a given, but it seems not to be.
Searching around for discussions of this, most articles and forum threads are just about tile caching in general, not level of detailed cached.

Dec 21, 2009So I just picked up my Eris yesterday. For the most part it is working great right now but a couple things are a little annoying.
First, pinch zoom isn't working in the Google Maps app. Should it? Works great in the browser when surfing the web but not in maps for some reason.
Second, it clicks at me. For example, I'll hit the red power/call end button when I'm done using it to turn off the display. Then I'll set it down on the table or something and it makes these little intermittent click sounds just sitting there. After 5 minutes or so it stops. It isn't constant, just a couple clicks ever 10-30 seconds for a little bit then stops.

The list includes a browser and Calendar so I'm sure it's one of these but which is it for sure to set it to default? It also seems to ask a few times so it might need a certain combination of programs to work w/o a hitch. Maybe calendar first to update my calendar with the appointment/meeting then a browser to send a notification to the sender that I've accepted or?
