HTC Legend :: How To Replace Calendar With Legit Android Google Calendar?
Nov 28, 2010Got fresh new 2.2 Froyo after I decided to stop pussing out and root/install vodafone stripped ROM.I'm liking the speed improvement for sure things appear smoother. However, I hate HTC Calendar and the way it has sync problems with Google Calendar, i would much prefer the stock Android Google Calendar. Anyone know where I can grab the latest one that comes with non-HTC Froyo so I can make my life better?And for anyone skittish about rooting don't be! It's easy and you won't regret it.it's awesome having the access to just remove whatever files you want whereever they are and customize things.

Mar 5, 2010Currently creating a VOIP application for Android and I was wondering is there any possible way to supress the In Call Dialog when sending a call over GSM and use our own 3rd party In Call Dialog or screen instead?At the minute when we switch from our VOIP call and send it over GSM via the ACTION_CALL intent it does everything we want except it brings up the native In Call screen whereas we want our own In Call screen to display here.So I was wondering what kind of options we would have on this?

The widget now when pressed does nothing but only shows current date and day of week. Can this be done? I have tried other programs but they only seem to allow me change the name of the icon. Feb 25, 2010Couple quick questions regarding the OEM Calendar and it's functionality:
1 - On my google calendar I am able to enter reoccuring items and they sync with my eris as they should. I also see all the various holidays on my google cal but these items do not sync to my eris. Is there a way to get the holidays to port over to my native eris calendar?
2 - My contacts has a place for defining a contact's birthday and anniversary. How can I get these user defined dates to populate to my eris calendar? Seems like this should be simple functionality no?

Nov 14, 2009Are any HTC Hero owners able to see events on Calendars that are Shared from Other gmail accounts. In the native calendar app on the HTC Hero?I have been trying to determine if this is a limitation of the Calendar Application or a miss configuration my end. I have seen Android phones that can view subscribed calenders from other users before, but I am the only person I know to own a HTC andriod phone and on the Hero I can not see any of my subscribed calendars.The gmail account tied to the the HTC hero has 6 calendars created through gmail interface. A short view of the accounts is listed below as an example of my problem.

Nov 10, 2009I'm a new Droid Eris user and have been using Google Calendar for some time.I have a single calendar set up which is syncing with the Eris.I can successfully add/edit/delete entries from both applications and have them show up just fine on the other side.I have a couple of recurring entries that I've since deleted in Google Calendar but are still showing up on my Eris.The unique thing about both of these entries is that they were meeting requests sent to my Gmail address and accepted from there.They have since been cancelled from the original sender and are now removed from my Google Calendar.My calendar entries are labeled as dark blue, and these two show as light blue.I cannot select them on the Eris to edit or delete them.

Aug 10, 2010I have two gmail accounts. My primary works find on my DX. I have shared my second calendar with my primary and my appointments for both show up fine online, and in my DX calendar list, it says my second calendar is on there, but nothing is showing up. I've tried adding new appointments both on device and computer, but they don't sync for that calendar.
Am I missing something? Or does anyone know of a calendar app that will sync with a second gmail calendar?

Aug 15, 2013Problem: Appointments / events created on my LG Optimus G were not syncing to desktop Google Calendar. No problem with appointments / events created on desktop syncing down to phone. Problem Identification: Default calendar when creating appointment / event on phone was calendar called "Phone". There is no calendar on desktop called "Phone". Solution: Pick different calendar when creating an appointment / event on your phone.

Nov 3, 2010I use my daytimer more so as a notebook than for planning my day. I use my outlook/android calendar to keep track of appointments. I mainly use my daytimer to keep track of things that occur during the day or things I need to remember for later that day. I also keep track of time I worked at a specific client so I have it when I go through later in the week and prepare invoices. So, is there an app that would work well for that? I am thinking some kind of journal program maybe.
