Android :: How To Measure Video File Size?

I have a video player application and would like to display an approximate size of the running video. Is there a way to calculate the video file size from the given Video player API set?
I have written a small video player application. In that some video files are playing well. But some are not playing at all. I am thinking that this is because of the video size.
So I just want to let the users know the size of the video and to show an alert saying because of this size, this file can't be played.
How to know the size of the video?
I'm using the FontFitTextView that was posted in this other thread, but it isn't working exactly right for me. The measureText() call is returning a number that is obviously too small to display the string. When it runs through to find a font size that will allow the text to fit, the font size it settles on is still too big. I feel like there is some other kind of padding or margin or some other invisible that is contributing the math that makes up the width which is causing the discrepancy. For example I want to set the text of my FontFitTextView to be "10,000.25".The width of my FontFitTextView is 96 pixels, with 8px padding on both sides, so my available width is 80 pixels. The call to measureText() says that the text "10,000.25" is 64 pixels wide. This means that the current font size should be small enough to display the entire string. However, when the string is actually drawn on the TextView the last 2 characters are chopped off and all I see is "10,000." instead of "10,000.25"

I realize that the quality can be changed which will affect the file size, but I'm trying to figure out about how many dvd's I could fit onto a 16gb card.

I have around 25-30 MB free space on the phone. I'm doing debugging so I have to upload lots of new versions. If I uninstall the previous version then I can install the new version. The application manager claims that the app is taking up 22 MB. So back to the original question, how come the app is taking up 22 MB when it really only is 8 MB?

I have transferred the file to my new EVO and I cannot watch the video...it does not even load. I get the following error message "Cannot Play Video" and "Sorry, this video cannot be played."
