I did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

Google Calendar on the web shows everything correct BUT, my Droid, even after syncing, shows duplicates of some Events - seems random - and these are not on the web Calendar as duplicates, also shows Events but does not show what they say unless you click on them - no text. What do I do? Do I remove the duplicate in Droid or just let it sync itself correct in time? is there a way to have it better sync?

If you make a new event on the Evo, it will not sync to google calendar. I have tried looking for a solution but found nothing. This is very frustrating and disappointing. Can anyone figure out how to sync my Evo calendar events to google calendar?

My Google Calendar App syncs google calendar appointments just fine. But "Corporate" accounts, which include my Hotmail and GroupWise calendars, won't sync calendar appointments older than two weeks. Even worse: appointments from older than two weeks ago actually drop off.
On settings, I have it set to sync all. I tried adding and removing accounts. I tried deleting calendar memory/cache. I have even tried returning my Nexus 7. The replacement has the same issue.

The native calendar widget doesn't display the current days events only the upcoming ones. Is there a way to change this or a different calendar app that is better?

I just noticed that none of my events on my Droid have any reminders. They have reminders in Google Calendar online, and in Outlook (they are sync'd from Outlook to Google Calendar by the "Syncmycal" program.) So somewhere between Google Calendar and my Droid I'm loosing reminder settings. The events are all there in my calendar, but none of them has a reminder set.

After the 2.2 update, my calendar doesn't show all day events anymore with the little color marker even though I know there's an all day event on a particular day.

How to get events created via voice command formatted correctly. I found a info graphic that says to use, "Create calendar event, event in New York, Saturday at 8pm" as an example. Well I'm trying to put my work schedule in, and tried, "create calendar event, work, Monday at 9am to 5pm". I get an event that is what: meeting, where: work, when: 9am to 9:30am. How to properly create my event via voice with google now?

Apparently everything works correctly, but when entering the application does not see any event. Neither I can create a new event.
My device is a Clone S4 came with Google Play but could not use Google Play services (needed to run Google Calendar), so install GAAP Core 4.2.2, everything worked except Google Calendar. Which are the (apps) files necessary to have Google Calendar working properly in a Chinese device?

Anytime I click to add a new event it always defaults to "My Calendar"(phone built in one) as the Calendar it is going to add it too.I have checked my settings and I only have my google calendar checked so it shows all of those events. The "My Calendar" is unchecked too. But it always wants to add it to that one, not google. Any ideas how to change this? Or if not, is there another calendar app you could recommend I use instead of the stock then? This is really annoying that every event I have to change and select Google.I use google calendar for everything, and if I forget once it could cause a lot of problems. Plus, I don't want to think about having to change it manually EVERY EVENT!

I want to create an event on my phone calendar and have that display in my Outlook calendar on my computer. What do I need to do to make that possible? Events created on my phone will not display in my Google calendar or my Outlook.
I have a Droid X2. I downloaded Google Calendar Sync to my computer which synced my Outlook with my Gmail calendar, and that displayed on my phone, but events created on the phone do not display in the Google calendar or Outlook.
I have gone to phone Settings > Accounts > checked Gmail to sync calendar. Google Calendar Sync on my computer is set for 2-way syncing and to do so every 15 minutes. The phone is rooted.

Just wondering if it's possible to have events created automatically, in Google calendar, for birthdays taken from from my contacts. I have synced all my Facebook contacts' birthdays with my Google contacts using Uber Facebook sync (or some other totally rad hipster name) - although they are not visible anywhere (is this even possible?).
Any easily maintainable way to receive birthday reminders? I don't want to manually create events annually.

So the large calendar widget that I placed on my home screen used to show dark little tabs in the corner of everyday that I had an event. While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

Is someone from Google able to advise when the Android SDK is likely to include a public API for reading/writing event data to the user's calendar? Searching the forums I see that this is a much desired feature by many developers but I haven't seen any indication as to when (or even if) this need will be addressed.

I'm just getting up to speed in Android, and today in a project meeting someone said that Android has no native calendar app so users just use whatever calendar app they like.
Is this true, and if so how do I programmatically add an event to the user's calendar? Is there a common API they all share?

I'm a new Droid Eris user and have been using Google Calendar for some time.I have a single calendar set up which is syncing with the Eris.I can successfully add/edit/delete entries from both applications and have them show up just fine on the other side.I have a couple of recurring entries that I've since deleted in Google Calendar but are still showing up on my Eris. The unique thing about both of these entries is that they were meeting requests sent to my Gmail address and accepted from there. They have since been cancelled from the original sender and are now removed from my Google Calendar. My calendar entries are labeled as dark blue, and these two show as light blue.I cannot select them on the Eris to edit or delete them.

I have 6 different calendars for different categories. They all show up with their own color. I can't figure out how to change the event calendar. Like add a work event and then add a vacation event. I can add an event in any category (calendar) but can't switch it.also, I would like to make the default alarm to be off when adding event (lowest I can find is 5 minutes for default)

I'm currently writing a class to access the android calendar, retrieving and inserting new events does already work but I'm having trouble to update existing events. With the the methods I already have I could check the ID of the calendar I want to work with, which is 5. I also could find out the ID of an event in that calendar which is 87. I'm trying to update that event with this code (well actually it is a bit different but I've shorten it a bit so it's not so much code to read for you)

If we add a repeat event in the calendar, we are unable to get the end day till when the event shall last. There is field "duration" in the events table in the database which gives us an encoded format string like "P300S" for repititive events. We are unable to decode as to what this string will mean. Can any body help us with this Query?

My wife and I both have Android phones (EVO and Samsung Transform) and have the Google Calendars shared. All of the sudden, her calendar is completely empty and can't see mine anymore. But on mine, I still see all of her events and see it listed as one of my Calendars both in Google Calendars and on my phone.Everything looks perfect on my end but everything is back to square one on hers.Any ideas how to restore her calendar or what may have caused it.I am afraid that just starting hers over is going to start duplicating events in mine.

I had my Android phone set up at the store to synchronize with Facebook. The trouble is, any even anyone in my Facebook list enters shows up on my phone calendar. My phone is cluttered with other people's events in which I have no interest, to the extent that my ability to see what is on my calendar is impaired. This is true both with the native app and CalendarPad which I downloaded specifically to get around this, and also for events I have declined.Anyone know of a way to keep Facebook events off my Android calendars?

Does anyone know how to view events from more than one gmail calendar?Unfortunately, the Android Google apps (both gmail and calendar) DO NOT allow more than one account. What is up with that?? iPhone, Palm, and Blackberry all do this natively.Anyhow, I thought I was being clever by sharing my calendar between my personal gmail and my corporate gmail accounts. As a result, I can now see my work events on my personal calendar while in the browser. BUT.... from my Android, the shared events DO NOT appear! Why? Why? I downloaded a few other calendar apps from the Market but they all rely on the built in calendar... so none of them do any better. Is there a solution to this problem or is this another inherent Google fault?

I am trying to write an app that relies on Calendar events. I was going to write it as a service, and just have it check the calendar from time to time, but I found out that the SDK does not offer direct access to the Calendar yet. So is there any other way to access Events? Maybe a broadcast when an event starts and stops?
