View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this? Admins feel free to move this thread where it should be. HTC Hero with 8gigs of memory installed. 2.1 OS.Like the title says: I am getting an error saying Low on disk space, but I have 6gigs free out of an 8gig MicroSd card. What gives? I suspect all my apps must be installing to the internal memory? Which is low with only 20megs left.I am almost sure that is what's happening. Is this by design? If so, is there a way I can install all my apps to the microsd card? I also have Astro File Manager installed and it is managing my systemapps cache and has placed the dir on: tmp/.astro/ So it's not a cache issue. Any ideas?
View 1 Replies View RelatedNexus 1, although seen many phones have this same issue also 32gig micro sd. Updates just dont happen like they should on automatic updates. The update progress bar just sits there and notice comes up "update unsuccessful" looked everywhere but this seemed to work fine.
1. Unmount SD
2. Go back to each download (market download)
3. Cancel download
4. Then it takes you to app. push install
5. Download restarts and installs fine
6. Then go back and remount SD under phone settings
7. Then go to phone settings, applications, manage apps,
8. Pick the apps you just installed and move them to the sd card if possible.
Is there any way to turn off an update notice for one particular app in the Android Market? One app has changed from free to a limited time demo, and I'd just as soon keep the old version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have designed an app that logs into a web service by using a WebView instance. Each time the login form is submitted, the WebView asks whether the password should be stored now, later, or never (the typical dialog when logging in with the Android Browser). Is it possible to override this behaviour? I would like to suppress the notice, because the user data is handled by my app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am not receiving voicemail notifications. I am not using GV, just the Sprint service. I am not getting the little cassette looking icon or any other indicator that I have voicemail. Have not received any visual voicemails either. I do get the missed call notification. If I call my voicemail there are messages waiting.
Did some digging on the forum and found other voicemail issues, but not this one, at least with my word combos. I unchecked and checked the notification option under voicemail to see if this would jump start it.
I have received an update for froyo and i have installed it. But i cannot notice any change in the UI / (any froyo enhacements). But the software information of my phone is showing "Andriod Version is 2.2" and the software number is 2.13.707.1. When i'm trying to check for the updates manually "your phone is up to date" message is displayed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a tmobile Galaxy S3, pretty much stock. Ever since I got the recent 4.3 OTA upgrade constantly. Several times per hour, sometimes several times per minute. Sometimes I'll see it appear then flash away and come back while I'm staring at it, making it hard to pick things off the notification menu for all the jumping around.
I did once (months ago) download that from either the web or Google Drive (I suspect the later)... I can't open the file (it says "This Document Cannot be Opened" if I click on it) and the notice comes back. Even if I download another copy, I still get the notice, clearing Drive's cache didn't fix it, neither did uininstalling Drive altogether).
I guess the developers need to take advantage of this but I have seen it flash white, green, red and blue. (All from the same LED)
View 4 Replies View RelatedYou know what's odd. I've never gotten an apps update notice in the notification bar. When I'm using the MyTouch I get them all the time but never have I seen it with the Behold II.
I just assumed that it wasn't a feature with 1.5
Usually I just go to market and check my downloads to see what updates have come in. I wonder if this could be a reason why I haven't received the bug fix.
as written in my profile, my tablet is an Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 running Jelly Bean.
Which version do i have for my tablet? will there be any updates soon?
i m also facing the problem that my tablet hangs sometimes without notice. This happens mostly when i try to start games like Candy Crush and similar.
I have a EditText in android in which i want the user to enter the text and checks for the condition "BYE"

How can i make user to enter the text? The UI should wait for the text to be entered(something like we have InputStreamReader in java applications).
I just changed my googlemail account to gmail and all of a sudden I am getting a notification message "Google Talk failed to log in: If this is a Google Apps account, confirm that chat service is enabled for this account." any ideas why, what or how?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy MMS txts are not working when I send them but I can receive them just fine. It doesn't even give a failure notice, they send off my phone just fine, the the other person never receives them. They used to send just fine, this just started a few days ago.
I use Hand Cent as my default messenger, but I've tried sending them from both applications and neither of them are working.....any ideas?
Ive got several profiles and sometimes it seems I have to open SetCPU for it to notice my priority. For instance I have 75 priority on >75 for it to be 800 and 1000 higher obviously. Well my phone was at 70 of course I didn't know the exact number and it showed 1000 but I clicked on SetCPU then clicked profiles and it dropped to 800. I'm not sure if you just have to click on the app and it updates or you have to click on it to refresh the screen. I've noticed it does this from time to time. Anyone have this problem?

View 13 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had any luck with aftermarket power supply's. I'd like a car/ac charger or a stand alone power pack. I usually use my DEXIM. but it does not work with the Behold 2. I've tried a car charger/battery unit by Wireless Gear that said it was compatible with all Samsung phones, it came with 5 power tips and a USB outlet that still would not work, even using the OEM USB cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will go with OEM Samsung if necessary, but there selection is limited.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2, and for some strange reason they've changed the screenshot combination away from the Power+VolDown that other Androids use to Power+Home which can't realistically be pressed one-handed. View 1 Replies View RelatedAt first when I used my phone. I would click on Internet, Browse to a web page, and if left my phone alone for a few minutes it would go to power save mode, and I would have to unlock the screen to keep browsing on the same internet page I was on. Now when it powers down, and I go back to it, it always defaults to my home page, and I have to browse back to the page I was just one. I have been looking for a setting to undo this, as its driving me crazy, but I haven't been able to find a way to change this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there an app out there that can power down the phone without having to hold the power button? I am not talking about reboots, I mean a full power down from using only the touchscreen?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am trying to determine if an Android user has had a close proximity to a list of predetermined locations. I'd like to do this with the least amount of drain on the phone's battery. The two mechanisms I see for accomplishing this are proximity alerts and requesting location updates. What are the pros and cons of the two methods? Will one have less affect on the battery than the other? In either case I would guess the specific location manager used would have some affect power usage (existing Stack Overflow answer).

View 10 Replies View Relatedmy android phone's power button stopped working a few weeks ago. It wasn't a big problem, but a few days ago, the battery died. Now it is turned off and I can't turn it on. When I put it in charge, it just shows the charging screen. The phone is a Winmax W8000 (Winmax is Bangladeshi company. I'm from Bangladesh). It runs on Jellybean (4.1). It wasn't rooted. I tried to get into Download mode, but pressing the volume buttons and plugging in the charger doesn't work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm looking for a Android powered GSM phone that will automatically turn itself back on if the battery is dead and power is reconnected.
I want to stash this in my vintage automobile and use tracking software to locate the vehicle in the unfortunate event its stolen. The only issue I need to solve is if the battery dies and the phone turns off how to turn it back on automatically. I plan to put the device in the door panels so access will be difficult.
