You know what's odd. I've never gotten an apps update notice in the notification bar. When I'm using the MyTouch I get them all the time but never have I seen it with the Behold II.
I just assumed that it wasn't a feature with 1.5
Usually I just go to market and check my downloads to see what updates have come in. I wonder if this could be a reason why I haven't received the bug fix.

as the title says superuser and root for apps is not working. i installed BH_MAN's stock update rom (which was supposed to have root for apps, as far as i know) and cannot use apps requiring root. also superuser doesn't seem to actually be working. Can someone please help? everything else works great! I just need to use apps that require root.

View 4 Replies View RelatedNexus 1, although seen many phones have this same issue also 32gig micro sd. Updates just dont happen like they should on automatic updates. The update progress bar just sits there and notice comes up "update unsuccessful" looked everywhere but this seemed to work fine.
1. Unmount SD
2. Go back to each download (market download)
3. Cancel download
4. Then it takes you to app. push install
5. Download restarts and installs fine
6. Then go back and remount SD under phone settings
7. Then go to phone settings, applications, manage apps,
8. Pick the apps you just installed and move them to the sd card if possible.
The version of the software that is most current is version 6 (the phone shipped with version 3).
To ascertain version: Go to Dialer/Hit Star/#9999#
You will see the PDA; Phone; and Software Version numbers in this section
The T939xxxx6 for PDA AND PHONE and then
Software Version - ending in .006 on the last line.
I was told that the reason that I keep seeing the "No update file exists" message when I check "update firmware" is because I have the latest version.
At some point my phone was updated without giving me a message. I did notice the red and blue arrows yesterday. But there was no message. My SD card mounted and dismounted on its own and gave an error message, and then all references to the error and SD card disappeared.
If your phone is/has exhibited this sort of behavior, you may already have the update.
I have received an update for froyo and i have installed it. But i cannot notice any change in the UI / (any froyo enhacements). But the software information of my phone is showing "Andriod Version is 2.2" and the software number is 2.13.707.1. When i'm trying to check for the updates manually "your phone is up to date" message is displayed.

View 48 Replies View Relatedso i have the samsung behold 2 and i need a bit of help. im using chompsms instead of the basic messaging & whenever i receive an sms, two notifications go off. one from the basic messaging and one from chompsms app. i've looked thru my phone for hours trying to figure out how to turn of the basic messaging notification icon but i couldn't find it. can someone please help because it's getting so annoying and i want the basic messaging notification icon to go away & just have the chompsms notification.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHad a behold II about two weeks and love the phone only one problem, every so often it gives me a notification (makes same noise as a text) saying preparing external SD card. The phone isn't plugged into anything and has no other problems it used to only happen a couple times a day now it is happening every 3-4 minutes and is getting pretty annoying. I looked through the options and can't find a way to make it stop giving me the notification noise for this. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make this stop its getting aggravating.

Well I'm having the same problem with my new B2...The phone is disconnecting and connecting on its own consistantly. And it keeps sending me notifications. I've tried 3 different SD cards all with the same result. Eventually it will erase all card data and tell me the card is damaged. Anyone else with this problem? Should I go with the G1 or Mytouch?

I have an unlocked samsung behold 2 on stock firmware/rom never been rooted. However, im currently using it with the att service. I have a activated prepaid tmobile sim card that i have been trying to use to get the behld update but I've had no luck. I've tried the force update posted in this thread but it did not work for me. I've also called tmobile and samsung and all they could tell me was that updates are sent out Monday nights so ive had my phone on with more than fifty percent battery and tmobile sim in every monday night. I really need this update can anyone help?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I had previously rooted my BH2. I used both the Galaxy and the newer BH2 Stock from BH MAN. Since I was having that annoying random reboot problem, I decided to use my 14 day period and just get a new one. So far so good.
But now I'm sitting here with it out of the box. I really miss having it rooted... mainly the speed of the phone. But I'm wondering if I should just wait until this little update comes out before spending the time to root and then odin and then root yet again. Anyone have any thoughts?

i heard that you have to update your IMEI with T-Mobile to get the Bug Fix Update. but i went to the tmobile store and they said they needed my old phone for some reason but i already sold it. then i called tmobile and they had no idea what i was talking about so what number am i supposed to call and what do i tell them specifically?

I'm running warheads from bh_man first off. I just got apps2sd working tonight, but shortly afterward every app I tried to install would fail install with "installation unsuccessful". After an hour of searching, I decided to clear out the dalvik-cache. Well, I did this and I was able to install apps again. I installed two apps, and I kept getting a force-close on Titanium Backup -root version. I rebooted the phone (Behold 2), and now all of my apps are gone. I've got a bunch of default android boxes, and no working apps. I checked my sd card, and all of the .apk's are still there, but they aren't in the dalvik-cache folder anymore. What's strange is that some of the apps are there, like gstrings and quick system info, but the vast majority aren't, like handcent and beautiful widgets. I don't know what I did, but I'd really like to know how to get them all back. I tried installing handcent from the market, and it says that it can't install it on my phone, so I really need to get this fixed because I really don't want to start all over again.
