Oct 2, 2010So I always used timescap to update my twitter.
But now, when I try to post a new message, it just says: "can't update twitter".
The weird thing is, it does update twitter and I can receiver updates from people I follow.
This means that the account and twitter is working, but I just can't update my own status.
Then I just Seesmic, to see if it's a problem with my account. But that just works fine.
The main difference between timescape working and then not, is that I was on holiday in America.
There, it worked fine. Then I got back in the Netherlands and all of the sudden I can't update my status anymore.
While in America, my X10 updated the time wherever I went.
Back home, it didn't update the time automatically, so I did it manually.
That's the only thing I can think of that changed.
Does anyone know anything I can do? (besides restoring the phone).
I don't know if i'm the only one with this problem, if not, there must be some sort of solution for it.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Stock Twitter App Does Not Work On Regular Basis
May 30, 2010I have started using the stock twitter app and have it set to check every 5 min, notification sound & vibrate for new tweets. But for some reason it does not do this on a regular basis. Sometimes i will get them as i want but more often i will have to manually refresh just to see the new tweets.Any idea what could be causing this to happen? I have tried another free app from the market with similar results. So i am guessing this is either a phone or network issue even and error on my part.

I've tried my own implementation and copy/pasted the sample code from each of the sites, and nothing seems to work. I'm also 100% sure I also downloaded and included any dependencies (where needed).
Here's the interesting part. Using jTwitter and the oauth-signpost library, I can initiate a connection to Twitter, open a browser window for the user, have them log-in and generate a PIN for my app. When the app goes to post a status update however, (using the pin, and the stored access token and token secret), the 401 error pops up. All other things I've tried won't even let me open a browser window and ask the user to generate a PIN (they die with the 401 error on the request for the "request token").
HTC Desire : Carrier-Installed Apps - Find The System/apps Folder
Sep 23, 2010I have recently purchased an unlocked HTC Desire. As you may or may not know, here in Australia the only carrier of the Desire is Telstra. However I use 3 mobile so that's the reason I purchased an unlocked device.
My problem is that my phone has about a dozen or more apps which are installed by Telstra and uninstallable. Most of them are 100% useless because I'm not even on their network and I'd like them out of my applications list.
I've had a read around and I saw something about being able to remove them by deleting the file and then uninstalling them using a command prompt program.
Would anyone please be able to give me detailed instructions on how to do this because I'm not sure how to find the system/apps folder and I'm also not sure on how to get the command prompt thing to work.

Dec 8, 2009I'm trying to determine whether or not my phone is defective, or if this is a current problem with the Cliq.
Of the apps I've downloaded, only a few of them have worked. Of those few that work, some don't work right. Has anyone had problems with these apps crashing on them, or just not working correctly?
- Nice Battery (see description at bottom of: My Ultimate CLIQ settings (so far))
- WeatherBug (kept showing the wrong location, crashed when trying to change location)
- Snake - doesn't work just says its "paused"
- RingDroid - crashes when I select the "Facebook Pop" button
- Layar - screen is rotated 90 degrees at all times
There have been others, but usually I just uninstall them right after discovering it doesn't work right.

Mar 26, 2010I have some pre-installed applications on my G1 (IM, HiDialer, some Chinese appplications etc.) But i cannot uninstall them. It just says: uninstall not succesful. I read some other topics about this and there werent many answers. Only thing some people reply is just: get rooted. What if I am rooted? Then how do I uninstall them?

As an initial thought I think I could pop up a message letting the user know there is a new version ready, but if I could avoid unnecessary request to the server it would be better. If a google engineer comes across this please give me a hint as you do this for Google Maps.

When I click this "A" app, It will show many other apps which installed or will be installed on the device. ut the problem is I only want to show these apps through the "A" app only.Is it possible?? If installing and hiding icons not possible, I can dynamically download these apps from my own cloud and load them at the request.

Jul 6, 2010I put a few apps on my micro sd card (via phone mounted to pc over usb) then I opened astro and installed them on the phone. Apps work fine; but I can't update them? All it will let me do is buy them...? WTC?
