The instructions for setting up the ADP1 direct me to the HTC Developer Center to download system images. That page, at http://developer.htc.com/adp.html, does not have any links to system images - it says it does, but it does not.

Set the image background path as package:imageName Example. At runtime , my package is com.test.android .Inside that i have an image whose path i want to mention in the XML layout file as android:src = com.test.android/img1 for an ImageButton.I saw an SDK reference for ImageView as android:src = @[+][package:]type:name.But i am not getting how to use it.I think it must not be possibe , but if there is any way , please specify.The reason why i want to do this is that,when i specify a drawable at runtime for my image buttons, i change the images according to Focus received, or onKeyup, KeyDown.. but its not working as expected.When i mention the same thing as style under drawable, it works fine. So if my theme is going to change at runtime, i want to set the drawable at runtime, keepnig the path same in the xml.

Tonight I was looking at recipes online, found one I liked and sent it to my phone. It opened immediately, but what I really want is to be able to open it TOMORROW when I am at the grocery store. View 5 Replies View RelatedI am coming from a proffesional environment using Windows Mobile and am in culture shock as i have decided to give the Droid X a shot. I am alarmed at how inefficient the emailing system is. It has taken everything out of me to get the VERY basic functionality of pop accounts. You can only set 1 signature for all emails? You can't compose an email with a font size smaller than 12? The Droid X is an amazing device and should make any young person elated, but to a professional it is proving to be nothing more than an expensive toy. It is too late for me since i have the Droid X already, but i strongly URGE any professionals out there to AVOID Android like the plague if you rely on emails to get your work done on a daily basis. Googles handling of email is embarrassing and inexcusable. Okay my rant is done.I have my phone setup so that i can barely make it by with day-to-day emails (GOD i miss Windows Mobile email! - nothing else) As a professional, consistency is crucial to me. There is a stark contrast to the emails sent from my computer vs emails that i send with the Droid X. When sending from my Droid X, all the phone numbers (my signature) get converted to links which look very tacky and serve no purpose in my environment. i understand, that in some cases, someone may want to use their phone, click on the number and add it to their contacts. In a professional environment this is not necessary and looks terrible. More importantly, it is inconsistant with the emails i send from my pc. Since emails are handled soooo poorly with Android i am guessing i will just have to live with it, but does anyone know how to prevent the phone numbers from becomming links? It is very irritating.

So PackageManager.getpackageSizeInfo was removed from SDK on 0.9->1.0 update android.content.pm. PackageStats(String pkgName)(cacheSize, codeSize, dataSize) returns always "0" Size of phys. file (java.io.File) in "/data/app" seems wrong/not completely. Has anybody any solution to get the total disc space used by an installed package?

I've placed the subclass in a package called android.widget. Why can't I access any of the package-private member fields? I notice that the compiler says they "cannot be resolved," rather than not being accessible. Does this have something to do with how Android.jar is built?

However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

We had a shock at work yesterday when our Orange bill arrived charging me �826.00 for the 1032mb of data I used over my 500mb allowance in the first month of owning a Desire. At the moment we're negotiating with Orange about that, and they're even sending me something approaching an itemised data bill to look at, but in the future I want to get onto a truly unlimited data account to prevent this happening again. Early indications from Orange are that they only do 500mb bolt ons and no more (and it's very hard to actually confirm this on their not too informative website), meaning this issue could easily rear it's ugly head again. If this is the case then I have to consider going elsewhere. Even though we're only in the first month of the contract I'm prepared to completely downgrade my Orange account and keep it running for my wife or something, and to take out a new account with O2 on an unlimited data package (plus I'll have 2 Desires to play with). The only trouble is that in the past (but not in the last 2 or 3 years) I've heard some horror stories about O2's coverage in the West Midlands (I live near to Wolverhampton) and wondered if anybody has local knowledge and can advise whether this has changed in recently.

The problem is that after the menu has disappeared the links are still there. They are not shown but are clickable and the green border appears. And after some seconds they disappear. I've tryied many ways of hiding the menu: display: none, visibility: hidden, width: 0, height: 0, jquery hide, jquery fadeout... but none worked. Also hidding the links. Does anyone have a idea about what's happening? With the rest of the browsers it works without problem
