Android :: Weird MapView - PixelConverter Error

I have an application based on the MapActivity. The application drops ItemizedOverlay items on the map as you start to move about. It has been running with no problems until I dropped it into a Nexus 2.2 phone.
I'm running into a weird problem where sometimes when I zoom in/out too fast, or pan too fast, the MapView will go "white" and my Overlay items will get shoved into the upper left hand corner.
The only error I've seen in my log is:

My Map keys are working fine. I have internet permissions setup on the phone too.
I'm scratching my head over this one.

Updated Phone and now when I connect to computer computer doesn't recognize it so I cant transfer music or video to it I have no idea if the update has anything to do with it but I'm pretty frustrated. Any help would be awesome!

So I rooted a week or so ago. Didn't flash any new ROMs or anything, just deleted some bloatware and set up wireless tethering. Right away I noticed the data connection going up and down a lot. Then a few days ago I started periodically getting a black popup with this: When I get it, I just hit "dismiss" and so far, everything goes back to working normally at that point. Still, it's a little disconcerting. Anyone else gotten this popup or had their data connection messed with by rooting?

I developed my application and tested it on android emulator 1.6, 2.1 & 2.2 and on HTC Magic
its running PERFECTLY and the gui components look very neat...
However, when I tested it on Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 the gui components are looking fuzzy........

My app needs to save its state before being killed, and since that state is really small (one Long), I've decided to use java.util.Preferences. I use it like the way I would be using in any Java application (and never had problems), though I am not sure this is the correct way here on Android platform: private static final Preferences prefs = Preferences.userNodeForPackage (WordChoice.class);

I am creating a layout with a ListView and at the very top of the list there is this weird black line that I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of! It's part of the ListView because it moves up and down as I size the ListView. Has anyone ran into this before?
I couldn't get DDMS to take a screen capture for some reason so I took a picture of the screen with my G1, so please forgive the quality! As you can see the line is there at the top of the fade out in the list.

I was wondering if this was happening to anyone else consistently.
Turn on Vlingo In-Car.
Turn on Bluetooth headset and pair it w/ your phone.
Make a phone call and then hang up.
TURN OFF YOUR BLUETOOTH HEADSET.
WHen I do that, my phone RESETS. I think it's only w/ Vlingo in car on, regular bluetooth doesn't do that. (ALTHOUGH, my phone resets if I use gps, charge, use bluetooth, and talk at the same time....) Let me know if it's only an Incredible thing, or HTC thing, or all android thing...

i've just bought my Tattoo yesterday and i love it, but i have a problem with it. I got over 70 SMS messages yesterday, that had the name of the location.Seems like everytime my tattoo connects to the providers station, i get a sms. Any idea how can i get rid of this?

I wrote a home screen widget with one image on it. When the image is clicked, browser will be opened for a url link.
Generally, it is working. But a weird thing is that, when I click background, then click the picture, the browser will not be open. Until I click the second time on the picture, the browser opens. The steps to reproduce is below:
Click on the home screen widget background.
Click on the image on the home screen. The browser is not opened.
Click on the image again. The browser is opened.
If I didn't click on the background, the image will react to click very well, i.e. browser will be open when the image is clicked the first time.
The widget XML file is as below:

Trying slideit and love the horizontal word suggestions compared to vertical weird choice of swype but:
1) do I really have to hit shift then question mark or exclamation mark each time to punctuate?
2) if I write a word, then put in a numerical, there is no space
3) if I want to go back and as a letter to am already formed word, there is always a space put in automatically, impossible to change a word like dog into dogs, comes out like dog s
4) contacts not in slide it dictionary
Very possible its my inexperience, live swype, hate the venice distracting word suggestion

At first i though that the slight clicking I felt while typing was due my Seidio case. But after removing it, I noticed that it was still there. Its a slight clicking feeling as you type when you get the haptic feedback. Sometime when typing on the screen but most of the time when Im typing and go press one of the screen buttons. Almost like the haptic feedback motor is causing something to click on the phone physically. Anyone else having this issue?

My evo makes this weird noise when it vibrates while typing.The 4 touch buttons on the bottom also do it. Its like theres something loose in there and its vibrating. Sometimes almost like a click. Anyone else having this issue?

so ive been using better keyboard since I had my Eris..I just noticed it started to do something annoying that it did on the Eris..and it just came out of nowhere. when I'm typing a text, ill type my first letter, hit space, and then for ni reason at all it switches to the 123 number symbol view...for no reason. its so annoying. any ideas?

Hey guys, something is going on with my keyboard. I'm currently using the stock keyboard. You know when you put your finger on a letter and you get the box hovering over telling what letter you are pressing? For some reason mines not showing up when I use the keyboard in portrait mode. But when I go to the number pad or w/e they show up again. When the keyboard is in landscape mode, it doesn't suffer from any of these problems. The only thing I did with the keyboard was install the thick fingers keyboard to test it out and then I installed it. Can you guys help me out?

So I just got my phone two days ago and I have auto brightness set which works well. What I do notice though, and it might just be in my head because I read the issues with the pink hue on the screens, is the following.When using the phone normally it looks great, the screen looks really nice. When you place the phone down and have the screen timeout set (I have mine set to one minute) a few seconds before it goes to sleep mode it dims the screen, and if I'm on my main home screen it looks fine, however, if I'm on a page where there is a lot of white like a white background, it seems as though the screen takes on a weird hue right before it shuts off. I wouldn't say it is a pink hue, but it is definitely a weird hue. It isn't that big of a deal because like I said, it only happens before the screen automatically times out. Anyone else experiencing this? If so, what are your settings (screen timeout time, is auto brightness on or off)?

i downloaded the lockbot and was seeing if i liked it now when i reboot it brings up a menu and asks to complete action using home or htc sense and i dont want either i want my normal lock screen from fresh soo i dont know what it is doing i try uninstalling lockbot and restarting but that didnt work either. if i hit home it goes to a totally different looking screen with none of my bots on there or anything.

I'm getting used to the touch screen but it doesn't half stress me at times. (My fat Lincolnshire sausage fingers certainly don't help)I often struggle with the keys on the edge of the screen. I don't know why that would be. Oh, and the most strange phenomenon is when a left hand finger, despite trying repeatedly, fails to click a button so I try my right hand and it works first time (or vice versa). Anyone else find this or should I book myself in at the lunatic asylum?

Yeah, so my wife's Eris has had a weird glitch since she got it in January. Before any suggestions, we've tried factory wipe, Settings > Applications and making sure it's the default action, but still no go.
Her messaging icon on the home screen launches other random programs at will. Sometimes it's the last used program, other times it's just completely random apps. I've searched for answers but no dice. Any suggestions? We've also tried recreating a new icon for the screen, and it does the same thing.
*edit* she did have Advanced Task Killer & Advanced Task Manager installed for a time, but has since removed them. I thought maybe it was an app, but she says it has done it since she unpackaged it from the box.

Using appbrain on my PC seems to work fine when I'm not logged in. When I do log in and try to click on an app I get this error message:
"Error: Server Error The server encountered an error and could not complete your request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it."
Anyone else have this issue when using Appbrain on their pc?
Well, It looks like I solved the problem. I just deleted my account and created it again and it's fixed (for now).

The other day my phone was almost dead so I plugged it in, then went about my business like every other day.
But this time when I came back to it a few hours later the LED was blinking green>orange>green>orange>green>orange
What does that mean? I even looked through the Hero user manual...
Its gone back to normal since then, but its happened on another occasion before...

My battery usage shows 96% camera, 2% cell standby, and 2% phone idle in the last 8 hours since I last charged the phone.I haven't used the camera since Saturday (2 days ago) and it isn't running when I click on the application or running services.Also find it weird that there is no usage for the Android O/S.I am not rooted or leaked and am on 2.1 with the first update but not the second update yet and camera is stock. Any idea what is up and how to fix it?Battery life appears to be around normal with 40% left (usually get 10-12 hours).
