Do you have any idea what's the starting point to develop an UI for Android OS, similar with HTC SenseUI ? Can I create that on top of Android or I need to get the Android source code?

Since FB refuses to sync with my contacts, I deleted my FB for HTC Sense account and tried to create a new one. All afternoon yesterday and now this morning I got the message: "Service Unavailable at this time."
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the new sense 2.1 rom that people are flashing onto the Nexus in an attempt to pull out the apk for the flash player.
I was able to find 2 files:
1. FlashPlayer.apk
2. FlashLitePlugin.apk
The first one(player) goes through the normal process, then says app not installed. The 2nd one(plugin) installs just fine but doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if it is even possible this route or if you have to do this adb push Ive been hearing so much about?
My girlfriend has a Droid Eris and she is currently on 1.5. From my understanding HTC needs to update Sense UI before she is able to get the 2.0 or 2.1 upgrade. Say she didn't want Sense anymore and just wanted to upgrade to 2.0 or 2.1.
Is this something that's possible? Will she lose any functionality? I think it would be worth it to ditch Sense UI and just be able to be on the latest firmware. As these updates become more frequent, I think relying on HTC to keep up is a little unrealistic. Upgrading the firmware at your own pace seems more appealing. Is this possible?

I know they have some sense only widgets, but beyond that, how is it different from plain jane android?
Is there open code available for implementing a time selector like the one used in HTC Sense?
It's a wheel and the user can push it up or down to select higher or lower number.
If there isn't code available, how do I go about implementing it?
At best I would like to have a 59 beneath the 00 to be more like a real wheel.

This would make my phone almost perfect anyone can help me? I would gladly pay $20 for such a thing.

So I know the sense Roms for the droid are around the corner (hopefully), but im not completely sure of what is included in it.
My only desire from the sense ROM would be the bookmark widget that is found on sense phones. Looks like the pic below. I was wondering if there might be apk out there that could be ported over with the fixed resolution for our phone. Or is my phone waiting for the sense ROM. Sorry I'm kinda obsessed with that widget, but not worth it to trade my droid for just that.
My sister downloaded the app lockbot free and her words were 'it froze when installed so i restarted my phone and now it's stuck at the HTC screen when i turn my phone on'. She was right in the fact that it won't get past HTC now.. I'm at a loss on what to do besides a factory restore.

It first flashes the HTC sign, then it takes about 10 seconds to load my home screen. Now this morning i installed an update for "spare parts". Im assuming this was the culprit so I un installed. Still having the problem though. Extremely annoying!

View 1 Replies View RelatedSense UI keeps crashing on me! It used to happen maybe once every couple weeks but now I get it 2-3 times a day. I just got Pandahome last night and when I switch from Panda to Sense it restarts sense maybe 1 out of 10 times but the crashing problem began before then so I don't know what's causing it. I'd try a hard reset but last time I did that my phone wouldn't activate and it took Verizon 3 hours to fix.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a sprint HTC Hero but am very disappointed by it's speed (And I run only two widgets - bookmarks and weather!) - when I press the menu button the phone can take up to 3 seconds for the pulldown login screen to show up - super annoying. I'm loving Droid for the tech specs...but I love the sense UI is it possible to put the sense UI on the droid in theory? I have a few more days to return the hero and might if I could get this to work.
