I want to use my phone for debugging in eclipse, but there is nothing in driver of sdk 1.6 for samsung galaxy anyone can help me?
I want to run and debug my Android apps on my HTC Incredible.Connect your Android-powered device to your computer's USB port. Windows will detect the device and launch the Hardware Update Wizard".But it doesn't.When I connect my phone it's visible as a drive letter and its SD card is visible as a second drive letter and I can transfer files. But Hardware Update Wizard doesn't launch. Nor is it already connected if I go to my SDK tools directory and do "adb devices" it returns blank. So what do I have to do to debug on my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn case anyone else is having problems getting their Incredible to connect, the easiest way I found to install the USB drivers are with the HTC sync program here:
http://member.america.htc.com/download/Driver/DROID_INCREDIBLE_Verizon/HTC_Sync_2.0.33.exe
The google SDK driver doesn't yet work with the Incredible, and though it can be hacked - this download might be easier for some.
Although my computer can Charge my phone and recognize its connected. It cannot read it without a driver. I am ready to return it for a blackberry!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using my G1 under Windows 7 64-bit and Eclipse just fine.
However, when using my new Nexus One instead - and making sure that 'Use Debugging' is enabled - the Nexus One is not recognized and debugging on this phone is not possible.
Usig the Nexus One as a removable-drive (by mounting it) works fine.
How can I start using the Nexus one as a development device (on Eclipse)?
I'd like to connect a HTC Desire to the PC only as debugging device. Every time I plug the cable in it searches for the HTC Sync software on the PC, and it takes a long time until finally a message appears on the phone like "no HTC Sync found, please install". After that, the phone is available to eclipse for debugging. But how can I avoid that everlasting searching process?

I am developin with Eclipse on an Android device. Each time I want to install the new version of the app on the device I need to connect it, enable USB Debugging, install the app, disable USB Debugging, unplug the device (optional). I was wondering if it was safe to just unplug the device without disabling USB Debugging. After all, the device is not mounted, right? But there is the adb, talking to it. It would be much more convenient to be able to do that. Does anyone know if it is safe or unsafe?

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago, a friend and I went through the process of making my Behold 2 think it's a Galaxy (thanks to all who made that possible!). Now, after having played with it for a while and the lack of vibration annoying me, I've decided to try to use Odin to revert to the standard Behold 2 ROM.This is where my problem comes in: I am unable to get any USB Driver for the phone to work. In USB Debugging, out of debug, in download, or any other way I can think of. The phone just doesn't seem to want to connect. When not in USB debugging mode, I can get my computer to recognize the SD card and access files, and it'll charge, but, I can't get any other USB functions to work.
I'm not sure if this is a driver issue or if this is an issue with the phone itself.I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit.Could someone walk me through troubleshooting this?
I was cruising an Incredible manual online and I saw this screen about connecting the Inc to a PC. I'm new to Android but I did have an Eris for a few days to try out. On that phone I would hook it to my laptop, open the notifications bar, and choose "Mount" to be able to drag files back and forth.
In this picture, there is no "Mount" choice. How do you drag files back & forth?
Also, what is USB debugging? Do I need to select that in order to drag files back and forth?
Does anyone know where I can get the bluetooth peripheral device driver for the X?

View 2 Replies View RelatedProblem: When pressing the power button to turn phone on, there is no samsung boot logo. the only thing that shows up is a black screen, [the backlight] it will stay that way until the battery dies.
i know it's not a problem with the display because i can get to the recovery screen by pressing the three buttons. i tried numerous wipes and factory resets, even tried to reboot from there. but it still wont boot up, it only ends up with that black screen. Also the green battery shows which further indicates that it's not a display problem.

That's basically all i know about this phone, i know it's a clone because on the hardware differences under the hood compared to the real S4. [it's probably a legend or a superking since it's from korea i think] im not sure which operating system it runs, from the looks of it i dont think it has one.
Some things i've tried: i downloaded android SDK, MTK droid tools, SP FLash tools, for some reason, i keep getting error 8200 in sp flash tools and mtk droid tools doesn't detect my phone. I tried flash updating firmware with adb sideload, it always ends up with an error ''aborted''. i can't enable usb debugging since the phone wont turn on.
First off, im running HC2.1,
1.Dont you have to root to be able to upgrade to a different software type? I rooted before in stalling greek35 2.1, then upgraded to HC2.1, do i have to reroot?
2. Rooting is just, using the update.zip file you download, then using droidroothelp.apk program, mount3, update those 3 things, flash 15.0, rename, reboot ect...so basically as long as you have SU app on your phone your rooted no?
Now boot animation question
I downloaded a boot animation, connected my phone with usb debugging, used the cd command and abd push bootanimation.zip /data/local, rebooted and the boot animation didnt change..after i used the push command, it said x.xkb transfered in 1.23seconds or whatever...any suggestions?
In G1 phone, when user press any Keu, the LED that be as backlight of "HOME" KEY, will be lightened. I check Android source codes, and want to know how to lighten the LED in key driver, but, don't find any clue. I have checked following source codes:
kernel/drivers/input/
kernel/drivers/leds/
My key question is that where in the codes of key driver, will call LED driver to control LED on/off.
I cannot get windows to install the SDK drivers instead of its preloaded disk drivers. I have tried to do a manual update from the device manager, but windows believes it knows better and says the best drivers are already installed. I also tried to shut of the automatic driver installation through the system settings but it still installs its own drivers. This is getting extremely frustrating, when i run adb it says that there is no device connected.
