Is there a way to Check/Uncheck the Check box for Notification volume programatically.

I am trying to toggle button state programatically. I want to go between setEnabled(False) and setEnabled(True) for a given duration. I have a timer and I want to toggle between these states at regular time intervals.
I see that the button toggles correctly the first time, for e.g. from True state to False state, but doesn't go back to True state again unless I touch the button, which is kinda weird.
Is it possible to toggle WiFi radio (On/Off) programatically on android phones?

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased the Virgin Mobile Supreme (Sprint Vital, ZTE N9810). The one thing that is bothering me is that there is only one volume setting for the combined ringtone and notifications. I would like to set these volumes separately.
I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.
I noticed that when turning down the volume of the ringer with the volume rocker it doesn't automatically turn down the notification volume as well. Is there a way to set the volume rocker to adjust both notification and ringer volume to the same level? You can test this by going under Settings/Sound and Display/Ringer Volume...and try adjusting the volume with the rocker and it only adjust the Ringer Volume.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAn app or mod that will use the microphone to sense the amount of noise around you and adjust the notifications accordingly - that is to say when its quiet, next to my bed and I am sleeping I want it to be all quiet sounds - but when I am working and there is fan noises and other stuff that is louder then normal I want the notifications to be loud - but if I walk into the break room which is quiet I want it to be quiet again - or if I am listening to music in a room or car turn up the notifications so I can here them and back down when not. You know take a sound reading and turn up or down the volume of the notification that is happening at that given time.
Only problem being when its in your pocket it will always seem to be quieter then normal so they will be quiet also, so there would need to be something to listen to the sound and determine if its being muffled by a pocket or whatever and turn it up then - if playing a sound and analysing that sound it should be able to determine what environment the phone is in, like a pocket or bag that will make it quieter. I am not even sure if i am describing this properly but I know someone can probably figure it out, but it might have to be something the manufacturer does, like that phone that has 2 microphones to auto cancel out background noises like a bluetooth headset.
Is there an easier to do this then going into the settings and doing it that way? Seems the volume buttons only control ringtone volume.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe problem I'm having is when ever I set a default notification tone it plays good and loud when I test it but when I actually get a text the volume drops below half making it very hard to hear the phone when ever I get a text. Is there a reason its doing this? I have the notification all the way up and it still drops when I get a text. No sounds come out of the speaker used for listening to voice calls on the front of the phone. Wonder if the phone can be modified to output notifications from that speaker as well as the one on the side? Guessing though, that it isn't a very loud speaker though as you've normally got your ear stuck to it!

When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?
