Tapatalk was updated today, and I'm having trouble getting AndroidForums to load; it's stuck "Processing". Every other forum though loads just fine. Anybody else having this issue?

Ideally, when one switches on the tablet this app should be loaded perhaps during startup and the user need not step out of this app. The app logic itself is rather easy but I am wondering if it is at all possible to load a single app during load and not allowing the user to step out of it.

In my app, I have various types of data like Person, Company, City, etc; The requirement is to dynamically load the layout, find views by tags (property names like Person.name, Person.address) and then fill in data. For example, if user has selected an object of type Company, we want to load a company.xml layout, inflate it and then associate various properties (company name, company slogan, city, address, revenue) to tagged views. One possibility I see here is - each view in the layout will be associated with property-name as tag and then appropriate data will be loaded in appropriate views.
What should be the best design you would recommend?
I'm curious as to whether anyone else is having this problem or if it's just me. I just updated to the latest Tapatalk 1.8.0 and find I can't login to the forum I use it with (no, not this one). When I enter my user name and password it just bounces back to the login screen with no complaint.

View 36 Replies View RelatedWell I looked around but I don't see any mention of it on these forums. Onestepahead from xda got a reply from htc about the battery and they said to do this. To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly: 1) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more 2) Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour 3) Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well Going to try it tonight, people say it works though. His response was that he didn't want to sticky too many threads, as to overwhelm the main page with a dozen stickied threads. Instead, he's relying on the "Forum Guidelines" stickied item. I think that's great but in my past experience, new users don't usually check that. In my experience, new users will simply come on in, maybe glance over the thread titles of the first page to see if any pertain to what they're interested in, then simply start a new thread to get their questions addressed. And that new thread is often redundant. twospirits suggested that I start a discussion to see what others in the community thought. If you have a specific thread that you think should be stickied

When I navigate to this site on my phone it shows up fine.. but once I tried to log in i got some kind of weird error and now I can't access the site at all.. I'm at work right now so I'll update what error it was a bit later. Just wondering if this happens to anybody else? I frequented these forums before I got my N1 and this forum actually gave me the final push to finally step up and order one. But, now when I'm on the go I can't get here

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have purchased the tapatalk pro version. I updated to 2.1 and I cannot get it in the market and I could not back it up because it is marked as private. Am I out of luck until 2.1 is released officially so it will show up in the market or is there any way to just get the apk? I did pay for it so Im not trying to get a free file, but if anyone has a way to get it to me I can provide my recept that was emailed to me to show im honest.There were a few other programs, none paid, but ones I liked that dont work with 2.1's market. gUnit and tv.com for instance. All in all I think since those are the only bugs have personally seen in this software all is good

View 14 Replies View RelatedBeing a geek, I've been very interested in getting a Droid, and in anticipation, have been following this forum since day one.I've been to the Verizon store a few times to play with the Droid, and was comparing it to the Eris today when an employee came over and started chatting with me.He had a Droid, so I asked him how he liked it, etc, etc. I mentioned how I knew quite a bit about the device just from reading up on it online. I asked him about the keyboard, and what his take was.He mentioned the lack of raised keys, etc., and then said his main complaint was that there was no way to 'lock' the Alt key so he could type numbers - and he proceeded to show me how you had to hold the Alt key down, and type with the other hand.Then I mentioned to him that I thought all you needed to do was double-tap the alt key to lock it. He did that and was amazed that it was that simple, and thanked me for the tip.Perhaps this forum should be mandatory reading for all Verizon employees?
