Android :: Sync Photos - Musicplayer - 32 Gb Card

I am strongly considering switching to the Samsung Captivate (I know not the right forum but this is general android questions I have). My dilemma is there are certain things I love about my iphone that I am not sure I will get on Android: 1.Can I sync photos from my mac to my android and vice versa? 2.I have heard the "ipod"/music player on the android isnt so great? 3.As I understand I get 16gb on the Captivate but then I can install another 32gb card to get more on there? Has anyone else gone from iPhone 4 to Android and how was it for you?

I have a Music Player application and music plays continuously even user comes out of application UI. I have read that such background processing should be done with service in android. How to do that?any idea?

Is it possible to sync the photos I take on my phone with a folder on my PC via bluetooth? Or is there any possible way of taking a photo and uploading it to a site like Flicker and for it then to automatically download it and put it in a folder on my PC?

I upload photo's from my computer to Picasa Web using Picasa, where they are stored in my Google Plus space.
Under my account sync settings in Android, along with Gmail and Contacts and all that, I've got "Sync Google Photos" and "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
What's the difference between these two choices?

I'm not a big fan of iTunes but one thing I do like is that it makes small versions of all your photos purely to put on your iPhone/iPod. I have tried the new HTC Sync but it just uploads the full res version of my photos. Does anyone know of any sync software for putting photos onto the Desire/Android? I guess I could use iTunes itself but I don't really want to use it at all, especially just for photos.

well i am gettin friendly with my Hero so i need more info.
1 - the default storage for applications after instal is - SD card or internal Memory?
2 - how much internal memory you need in the phone for a proper funcionality.
3 - how to sync photos - is it drag and drop like the mp3 ?
4 - how many proccesses you haw on your phone. ( is killink apps dengerous for the phone)?
5 - how can you see where the contacts are stored and can you move them.?

Is there an application that will allow you to browse to a folder on your phone/SD care and view the photos inside? If it were on a linux PC I would be installing GThumb, on windows ACDSEE. I have tried Photo Burst. It crashes and I had to reset the phone. I have tried Picture Viewer but the latest version does not pan at all. The only way to do something like this with the stock viewer is to have all your photos in the root of the sdcard in folders or within download. Not really the neatest way of doing this.

I don't really want to buy a 3rd party application just to get photos in my contacts. I am not talking about facebook or gmail contacts, just Outlook contacts. I have an Exchange 2010 server and Outlook 2010 My blackberry and my iPod both have sync'd contact photos, why doesn't android?

I just setup Bittorrent Sync on my Motorola Razr M and Nexus 10 so that all photos taken on my phone can be viewed on both devices. The sync has worked as far as I can tell (if I go into BT sync on the tablet i can view all the files downloaded to the device and view them by clicking on them individually). The only problem is that if I go into my Gallery on my tablet it has not automatically detected the photos, even though when I click on them via BT Sync the are displayed using the gallery app.
How I can make my Gallery automatically show them in my albums? It seems to show other random photos (ie. album covers from music folders I have transferred over) but no the ones I want. I was under the impression that the Gallery app did automatically index all the photo files on the device.

I recently got my Nexus, and I am in love. I would like to sync my Razr Maxx and Nexus. File sharing basically. Syncing folders when I feel the need.
I'm using ES File Manager, and the Nexus is rooted but the Maxx is not.
Mainly looking to sync photos. How do you synchronize your devices?

So when you enter a new contact, if you have your facebook account synced, it will automatically put the contact's picture in there for you...BUT when someone updates their picture (as I know some have) it does not seem to update under my contacts. How do I fix this?

So i added the facebook account to the droid 2 and thus my contact list shows all facebook contacts. If i delete the facebook account that takes those contacts out of my list. However, by doing so will I not be able to sync facebook photos with my current contacts now?

So I'm looking for an app that will autosync the photos on my phone straight to dropbox.
I was using dropsync and I really like it, but dropsync autosyncs the stuff from dropbox to my phone as well. I have files that I just simply don't need on my phone and would just prefer to have my phone upload to dropbox.
I guess what I'm asking for is an app that auto uploads, but doesn't download (or requires manual download).

Up until November 2011 I had an older model Motorola Droid X. I was able to take photos using the phone camera and those photos would automatically sync with my Google accounts and could be accessed by Google+, Blogger, etc. All was well and I was happy.
In November 2011, I fried my Droid X when I spilled Gatorade on it and it was immediately replaced with a HTC Droid Incredible 2. I just downloaded Google+ (over six months after replacement) and the photos that I take NOW, sync just fine. But the photos that I took during the last 6-months did not synch up with my Google accounts.
Is there any way to synch the photos taken during the 6-month period that I did not have Google+ installed to be included in the Instant Upload?

So Verizon just replaced my eris with a refurb and everything seemed to work fine. I was initially able to lo load a photo album widget, but that after doing some SD card file editing, when I tried to look at photos, the pictures no longer load. I can look at them if I access the pictures within the camera function. But if I try to look at the the android photos apps, I get a never ending 'loading SD card data'. If I try to view them through ASTRO, the htc.photo program forces closes repeatedly and I have to pull the battery. I've already moved my data from the SD card, reformatted it, re-loaded the data and that allowed me to view the pics in the camera feature, but overall this isn't working. Because it worked at first, I'm thinking it isn't the phone and it's something I did.

Does anayone have a good photo viewer other than Photo Viewer and Photo Gallery? I would like to have my photos listed in their prospective folders but the 2 I have don't do that. I switched from the Samsung Moment to the Hero and I know I had a program on the moment that did that but I evidently forgot to backup that program so now I can't remember the name and haven't found anything in the Market that does that.

I can't seem to find a setting on the phone that directs storage to the handset or the card so if a card is installed does that just make it the default storage dump then? I'm confused.
