View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my GS3 yesterday, and i am trying to move all the pictures (and videos) from my skyrocket over to it. on the skyrocket i had them stored on the internal sd card, and i want to do the same on the gs3. i have tried numerous things so far such as moving them to the computer then to the new device, as wel as copying them to the external sd, putting that in the gs3 and copying them to the internal sd from there. my problem every time is that whatever i do, changes the date of the pictures on the new phone to all say the time that they were copied, rather then when they were actually taken and it puts all the videos before the pictures; basically my whole gallery is just out of whack.

I have heard a lot of about moving the apps to the SD card to save space in the memory's phone, but does it really usefull apart of "saving memory"? or it can make slower the phone's boot because loading apps from the sd?
Need to know more about advantages and disadvantages of moving apps to the SD.
My priority is a faster / smoother phone UI and boot, being the memory space not so important.

I'm wondering what happens when I flash and install a new os. I'm sure that, like a Windows PC, the new ROM won't see those apps on the sd card. No problem reinstalling.
Is there a way to find those orphan apps on the sd card and delete them so as not to clog up the sd card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's not a problem really, but I just don't know what it is.Isn't link2SD supposed to move the apps to my second partition on the SD card ?
Well it does move them successfully, because in Settings ==> Apps I have NOW a lot of space free.Take a look at this screenshot below. All the apps are in data/app and not on sd card, what is happening "behind the scenes".
I'm running android 2.2 froyo. I have installed Facebook and twitter on my phone and when I try to move them to the SD card I can't. To do this I'm using avast! Mobile security and it has an option to do so. The button "move to SD card" is blacked out for Facebook, twitter and steam. Is there anyway I can get these on my SD card?
