I know you can 'seekto()' with Mediaplayer... (To start at a certain point)
But does anyone know if there is a way to make a track (the audio playing)... Stop at a certain point?
-or would an if statement on a timer loop have to be used?

I am stage managing a show and have all of the sound cues on my Droid 4
The only problem is that I am using 'My Music' and when cue finishes (say a gunshot) the next begins (say a fog horn). This is very problematic
They all under the same album 'download'

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just signed up for these forums because soon I will be an HTC Desire owner in Canada. Having never owned a smartphone before I do have a few questions. The plan I intend on signing up for is the Telus Student 40 and that will come with only 100mb of data. Now I don't see myself being too data using heavy so I feel like I will be able to live with it. However I do have some questions regarding my data consumption.
1. Is it possible to completely stop all data usage by somehow disabling the data connection if I find myself reaching my limit?
2. What are ways to track my data usage to make sure I don't use too much data?
3. What are good ways to conserve data usage? I'm getting the feeling that there are some applications that will constantly be sending data back and forth updating themselves, is it possible to have these applications but stop them from constantly updating and only have them update when I want to access the application?.........

I have a MapView that I'm displaying a "useful radius" (think accuracy of coordinate) in. Using MapView's Projection's metersToEquatorPixels, which is admittedly just for equatorial distance) isn't giving me an accurate enough distance (in pixels). When I start the tether, I don't receive any errors (although I haven't checked the log), but when I look for the Droids access point, it's not shown on the list. I have access control enabled and it hasn't notified me that a device is trying to connect. I followed and have only done the following to root and to install wireless tether to the phone:

OK, this isnt as stupid of a question as it sounds at first.I know how to actually do a factory reset.My question is, does anyone know where the thread is that explained all the steps in backing up your information (with certain applications) before doing a factory reset? There was a thread here that told you certain applications that will make sure your data was backed up so you can restore it all after the reset.I remember seeing on on this forum a while ago, but after searching a few times, I cant find it.I'm hoping a factory reset will help with my icon lag issue and the general sluggishness of my phone.
