Android :: SlideIT Demo Expired

I had thought that the "Lite" version of SlideIT was nagware -- that you could use it for free as long as you were willing to put up with occasional interrupts by a pop-up asking you to buy the full version. That turns out not to be the case: the "Lite" version is actually a "demo" version that stops working after a while (apparently a week, if I have my dates straight).
Apart from the fact that it's deceptive advertising to promote a time-limited demo as a "Lite" version, the full version is still not available for purchase in the market.

What is "window.demo.clickOnAndroid()"? I know that clickOnAndroid is a method in my Android application. But what is window and demo? My file is called demo.html. Is that it?

I know Ultra comes with a lot of features. but I ONLY need the "swype" type features. and Money is not really an issue i know SlideIT costs more. which one works better overall for the Swype Features.

I'm using Swype now, but it is kind of frustrating me with its inconsistency adding words to the user dictionary. I also hate having to slide my finger off the keyboard to capitalize a letter and the fact that it doesn't auto-capitalize with new sentences. I used ShapeWriter previously, but I always had problems typing symbols with it, and the large number of proper nouns that came with its user dictionary really annoyed me. I have yet to try SlideIT.

Since the 2.2 update I have not noticed this till now....I have no problem sending a mms to my daughter and mother who are on my verizon account but when I try sending a mms to someone that is not on my verizon account but they have verizon they get it or get "message expired or unavailable" if they are on another carrier they just never get it.....I have pulled the battery and it still does not work....

Getting this in their notification tray? This has been happening once I turn my data back on after it being off to save battery. It also asks for you to log back in. Sounds like someone phishing so they can hack my accounts.

Is there a way to get slideIT to have the number and symbol keys above the letter like in swype where you can just long press to get those to work? I love swype but sick of waiting for an official release and having to constantly find new apk's that work.

Will i started with slideIT.. then switched to swype...
IMO slideIT is so much better..
I find it find my words better,,,deals with double letter better..i like how you can go back and it resuggests the word..i like how it puts a word on the line you are typing.. you dont have to look up to see if it guessed the right word..it puts a space before the word not after.. helpful when you forget to put a suffix like -s -ed -ing. they just did a update and its looks better then it did before..

I just got my new HTC legend and i soo love it. i love it so much that i downloaded apps including the "better keyboard" app bec. i really like to customize with diff. skins. Now, problem what i downloaded was a beta version and expired already. i can't bring back the original htc keyboard. i am stuck with this thai keyboard. Plus another thing, i am so willing to buy Better keyboard but i cant find where and how i could. so frustrating. i still have all the skins i downloaded here in my phone.

where expired downloaded movies from Google Play are stored ?. The reason for asking is that I would like to delete them rather than clogging up my Nexus 7. Perhaps they are automatically deleted as I don't seem to be able to find them on the device.

Trying slideit and love the horizontal word suggestions compared to vertical weird choice of swype but:
1) do I really have to hit shift then question mark or exclamation mark each time to punctuate?
2) if I write a word, then put in a numerical, there is no space
3) if I want to go back and as a letter to am already formed word, there is always a space put in automatically, impossible to change a word like dog into dogs, comes out like dog s
4) contacts not in slide it dictionary
Very possible its my inexperience, live swype, hate the venice distracting word suggestion

I have created what I believe is a relatively useful color picker, derived and massively extended from the ColorPickDialog example in the API Demos. If anyone would like to try it out, it is available on the Market at Applications/Tools/UberColorPicker Demo". It didn't put it in the Demo section because it isn't a demo in the sense of being a free teaser of a nonfree product, if you see my meaning. I want to be able to perform live demos of an app I've been working at conferences. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to get a video feed of what's going on onscreen onto a big screen. We've hooked up the screen capture utility of DDMS and keep hitting refresh. Its not ideal. I'm aware that there are more automatic solutions that continuously cause a refresh, but these don't really provide video, and I'd also like an audio feed. I can frame grab within my app pro grammatically, but the Android SDK's video encoder only supports capturing video feed from the camera. Any ideas? What's the best way to live demo Android apps to large audiences?

This comes up because I am changing the model for my freed and paid apps. Besides all the other things I need to figure out to build this (I'm trying the library method), I'd like to transfer preferences smoothly from DEMO app to paid App. I'm sure that some of you are old hands at this and can give some advice. I've tried the Demo and License, where a license app will unlock the Demo app and make it full.
The Market users can't handle that. My customers didn't want to have two app icons once they installed the license. So I made it invisible. Now I have users that say they can't "open" the license after purchase. It states very clearly in the app description that they need to install the free version first, but I've discovered that not everyone reads that vast 325 character description before buying even some of the most expensive apps on the Market.
I've decided not to fight it. I do believe that customers will be more happy overall and there will be less refunds, if they do try the demo app first. It gives them 16 days to try instead of 24 hours to get a refund. But I'm not going to force that. So, I'll be going down the Demo and Full model route. Just as an aside, I really wish the market would support time limited trials. There is difference between real support and faking it as I have been.

What is the recommended way of creating a demo version for an application. Basically, the demo version will be fully functional, but will be limited to running it 25 times. My worry is that if the user uninstalls and reinstalls, the count will be reset. I thought about writing a data file to the SD Card with the count of executions (hoping that would persist after uninstall), but I do not want to add that permission if I can avoid it. Any suggestions on how to have some type of demo flag persist after an uninstall?
