I'm looking for a grocery cart/shopping list app that is out for both the android (my Evo 4G) and iphone (my wife's 3GS). Does anyone know of one with both versions, and more importantly, will keep our two lists synced up?

I just switched over from the BB Tours and we used the BBM groups a lot, we used it to share lists (shopping, movies, etc). Is there any app out there that we can use to share lists again?

I have an Android app that has both CursorAdapter based ListViews (backed by sqlite) as well as custom BaseAdapter based ListViews which are built on the fly from JSON pulled down from a server.
The data displayed in both is identical - an image and a couple of TextViews. My Cursor-based ListView has 3000 rows, the JSON-based ListView has about 30. However, scrolling down the list is significantly faster for the Cursor-based adapter. For the JSON-based lists, the data is all fetched before the rows are made visible. Images for both types of lists are downloaded on-demand.
I have both ListViews configured identically - both with fastScrollEnabled, scrollingCache and smoothScrollbar set to true.
I'm looking for leads on how to go about trying to figure out what's going on here and to potentially fix it so that the JSON-based ListViews as as fast as the Cursor-based ones.

I have AK Notepad for notes and Astrid for a TO Do List but don't care for these for shopping lists.
I saw one called Oi Shopping list that has good reviews but can't seem to find it in the market.
Could someone please suggest a good 'listing' app?
I'm looking for a shopping list application with some specific features. I have tried many (most? all?) of the free apps that I can find in the Market, but none seem to really do everything I want. I'm willing to buy an app, but I'm not willing to buy one without knowing that it has the features I want. For instance, I've hard Grocery King is great, and I'm more than willing to spend to use it, but I'm not willing to just spend to try it without knowing that it at least does what I want it to do.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for this but haven't been successful. I'm looking for a basic app that will tell me what stores are in my immediate location/area if I type in the name. For example, if I'm dying for a cup of coffee and search for Starbucks, it would map out the nearest starbucks stores and I could pick one and maybe head for it with navigation. I have been using Maps but think it's too nonspecific -- if I type Starbucks it will list all stores in the country; if I type in the nearest city it will give me a list of stores but not do it visually on a map. Apologies if this is too basic a question. Today I was driving around in a county not too close to home, and needed a party supply store, but couldn't find one using my phone. I searched "party store" after mapping my location, and it came up with a list of motels/Comfort Inns about 20 miles away.

I tried the latitude app that came with the DX, but its accuracy isn't so hot.
Is there an app that wll show you how far another phone is, and what direction?
(Latitude said that I was 1/2 mile away, when in fact I was standing right next to her.)
The spoken directions for her to get to me were a hoot though!
I'm looking for a shopping list that will add an item when I scan a barcode, or enter it in manually, then assign a quantity.. That's really all I'm looking for. I tried Price Book from the market, but all the info it wanted in addition to the barcode was a little overwhelming (unless I missed something about it). Any suggestions?

I've had Hotmail for over 10 years and do not want to convert over to GMail as my primary address.Get new email, delete from PC, still on phone (as long as it was received to the phone before PC deletion)Get new email, don't delete, shows up on phone and PC.Is there anyway to link up Hotmail to work like GMail? If I delete something from one device, I don't want to see it in my inbox next time I log into the other. Did I set something up wrong?

It automatically synced all of my facebook friends that had there phone numbers on their profile. I dont want all of these people in my contacts. How should i go about doing this? View 2 Replies View RelatedGot a HTC Droid Eris the other day and absolutely love it.However, when adding a new contact on the phone, the drop bown menu box only lists "Phone" and does NOT give a "Google" or "Exchange" option as is indicated on p. 72 of the pdf "User Guide for Droid HTC Eris" by Verizon. I have examined 3 others Droid Eris phones of friends/family, and on each of their phones when adding a new contact the drop down menu box does list the "Google" option in addition to the "Phone" option.The problem with not being able to select "Google" as the contact type is that the contact information does not "sync" with the Gmail "Contacts List" online.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo Double twist wont work for me with my droid. Now music is a big part of my phone and what I want it to do. I have dragged and dropped my songs fine. However, I want to make playlists via computer GUI and transfer that file. How do you do it. I can create play lists through the phone but that is tough using a phone.
I want to do it like I did with double twist and just copy that to my phone but for some reason now DT wont work on my phone. This is a huge deal breaker, transferring songs is ok, but I want to organize it/make play lists on my PC which is much easier and then transfer it over. I have been reading some posts so I am better informed when my D2 gets here in a few days. I have noticed some posts about facebook causing problems. Since I do use facebook and twitter alot can you all explain to me;
1. What exactly is going on when facebook messing up contact lists?
2. I have heard it mentioned a few times that the widgets for facebook and twitter are bad on the battery? Can someone elaborate on this since I am new to these android phones and also anything else I might want to look out for. If so I would be appreciative. I used Google Domains / Apps for my mail..so instead of @gmail, I have mine @absolutebica.com.however, when I send a test email to my account...it never shows up automatically. I am finding I have to physically go into my settings, data synronization, and manually sync my mail for anything new to show up.Whats up? Is there a specific time limit set somewhere for when it checks for new mail?

It says that I cannot do this (seems odd that the phone would be set up this way) to a facebook synced contact. The second is, how do I manually sync my contacts to add new FB friends to my Droid contact list? But I noticed that if I change a contact on the Droid the changes are NOT synced back to Gmail.
At the moment if I look on the Droid for Contacts/Accounts/ me@gmail.com, I see Sync is ON, Calendar is synced up to present time, Mail is synced up to present, but Contacts are synced until 2. December only!
The sync symbol appears at Contacts, but the date and time isn't changing, it stays at 2. December.
Does the synced Facebook contact pictures still show up blurry, or are the crisp like in 1.5? I haven't seen a thread about this so I thought I would ask.

I modified the Tab Layout tutorial on the android dev website to fit my needs, and now I need to add a list on to each tab I have created. there are a total of seven tabs and each will have it's on specific list. If someone could point me in the right direction to adding a list per tab that would be great. Each tab has it's own class file, would I add the list items as strings in the strings.xml then add code to each tab's class file in order to populate the tab? This was the only thing I have found so far, but it hasn't worked.
