is there any max limit that we can pair with bluetooth devices? How to check this limit.?
when i tried to pair with more than 15 devices, it becomes slow and later it doesnt pair.

So I figured I'd wade through the morass of bluetooth widgets on the market and find one that not only turns on/off bluetooth, but also shows list of paired devices and their connect status.Lo-and-behold I couldn't find a one.Anybody out there know of a widget that does this (or even close)?

I'd want to utilize this for PDAnet and file transfer if possible but hit a brick wall since it won't connect. I'm wondering whether this is something on the computer side of things, I've never done it before (because the hero would never be discovered on bluetooth) so I am curious as to how to proceed.

I have a problem with the pairing of my Nokia 6300 phone and my new HTC Desire.
I paired the devices and ticked "Always Trust Device"
The HTC shows the devices as paired.
HOWEVER in order to transfer date from the Nokia to the HTC I always need to make the HTC discoverable before anything will happen.
This is particularly annoying since I 'm trying to transfer my photo collection and this has to be done photo by photo.
I have paired the Moment with my car and have been able to make/receive calls. Sometimes it takes five or ten minutes to connect. Lately, it hasn't connected at all. I tried deleting the phone and re-pairing it, but that did not help. Yes, Bluetooth is ON. The car is listed on the Moment, stating "Paired but not Connected." Any ideas?

The problem is, I really like using the bluetooth dialer in my car to accept and place calls - tapping on the touchscreen while driving is going to get me killed.
So is it safe to pair the phone with the car bluetooth, or is that type of connection what is going to cause the phone to stop receiving SMS?
I have ford sync and it worked flawlessly with my iphone.The captivate will pair and download address book just fine.I authorized it to allow access however it will not automatically connect when in range.I read someplace this feature is fixed in froyo my question is can you get froyo early or do we have to wait for samsung to push it out?
View 19 Replies View RelatedThere has been one thread talking about Bluetooth headsets and it did not receive many replies. There have been a zillion threads about the Moment's difficulty in connecting via Bluetooth ("Paired but not connected").
If your Bluetooth headset works great with the Moment (e.g. connects consistently, good sound quality, etc.) Please post the manufacturer and model in this thread. Likewise, if your headset stinks, that is probably good information also, so post that too.
Few months back Bluetooth worked fine in my HTC Velocity 4G and the OS was 2.x.x. Suddenly it started to malfunction. Bluetooth is working. Can search and find for Bluetooth devices. Can pair (but doesn't ask for the passcode confirmation). But,
1. Cannot connect to the paired device.
2. Cannot send or receive files. When share through Bluetooth it just nothing happens. Same for the file receiving.
I did reset but didn't solve the problem. Therefore I updated the OS to 4.0.3, then reset the phone. But no result.
My Droid shows my Mac computer under Bluetooth Settings > Bluetooth Devices >. I can see it listed and it says "Paired but not connected". I then, on my Mac under the BT control panels, see "Droid" listed and it is also "paired but not connected."
Well, when I tell my Droid to "connect" via Bluetooth Settings > Bluetooth Devices > press my computers name (or long press and select "Connect") it grays out and says "connecting" and then my computer shows it as "connected". But, in a few seconds, the Droid reverts back to "Paired but not connected" and the Mac then also goes back to showing the Droid as "Not Connected".
I want to try this app that allows me to use my speaker and mic on my Mac to take and place phone calls, via BT, on my Droid - but I can't get the 2 to stay "connected" via BT. They pair, but wont connect. It pairs perfect with my car instantly every time.
is it just me or does the droid not like my bluetooth headset? its paired and everything and the phone is connected but the headset is not being used. i tried accessing the voice dial on my headset and nothing happens i try calling someone on my droid and the sound comes out of the speakers not the headset.

My question is: where this serial number comes from? Does it burned on flash of device one time during a manufectoring or adb drivers assignees it dynamically or it comes with release that is burned on device?
Why does the phone say PAIRED BUT NOT CONNECTED? How do i connect it to the other phone. To be more specific the other phone is the ERIS. So is it even possible to send songs, pics, etc to other phones from the DROID? And can the ERIS even accept bluetooth file transfers?

Why did HTC not implement the code included in the stock Androind mail app (since at least 2.1), or at lease leave it alone! Since Hotmail has improved it's service to offer an Exchange style connection option there is a real day to day need to have at least two Exchange accounts on one device. I have been using the stock 2.2 android email client for some time and although it feeds into the unified calender app it does not feed into the Sense contacts ribon etc., I also goes high CPU at times (file conflict?) so is not a suitable workaround. And no I do not wish to use a third party app such as countdown, I like that with HTC's Sense system all things feed into a common thread - third party apps I have found have their own databases for email & calender etc. which I do not want.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought a stereo bluetooth receiver from DealExtreme for $13 so I could use it in my car. It has a built in mic, so if calls come in, I can pick them up, but I drive a convertible, so it's too noisy in the car to use that.
I also have a jawbone bluetooth headset that I use in the car...it works great for phone calls in a noisy enviroment.
I just discovered that if I go to Settings:Wireless Controls:Bluetooth Settings and long press on the BCK-08 (the stereo bluetooth module), I can select options, and uncheck the 'phone audio'.
Now, I can use both at the same time...and the cool thing is that if a call comes in while listening to music, it mutes the music till I hang up, then starts it back up where it left off!
I know there isn't bluetooth API in 1.0 SDK, but I have a doubt. I need to know the visible bluetooth devices. That is, I only need do a scan of the bluetooth devices and save the diferent addresses. I don't need connect to them.

I faced the problem in the application that SPP was not activated and so the connection could not be established over bluetooth and when I started another app that is 3g hotspot which I think activates SPP and I was able to connect over bluetooth in my app.

Eventually I'm going to develop a multiplayer Bluetooth Game.Currently I've adapted Android's sample app BluetoothChat to connect my three Nexxus One phones.1 connects to 2 who connects to 3.1 sends its messages successfully to 2. 3 sends its messages successfully to 2 as well. 2 can send its messages successfully to 1 and 3, as it shares a ConnectedThread with both. But I can't figure out.how to handle getting communication from 1 to 3. Does anyone have any examples of communication between multiple devices or has done this themselves?
