I accidentally deleted an android file through root, now my phone doesn't boot properly. All i get is "process com.android .setup wizard has stopped" and stays i idle in the black screen. Even i tried reseting the phone in recovery mode..

my root file is gone from my sd card due to accidently deleting it..is it possible to have anyone send me the file again or would i have to root my phone all over again? NONE of my root apps are working..cachemate..autokiller..etc

To get the apk file use root explorer. (note: needs root) Go to system, then apps, then copy the app named browser. Then upload it here or something like dropbox and post the link here.
I got my Dad's old Motorola Fire XT530 recently. The thing is, he used the phone for around 2 weeks and then switched to a BlackBerry. He kept the phone switched off and locked up in his office bag. I fished it out yesterday and tried to switch it on, but it wouldn't even switch on. I connected it to the wall outlet and left out there for a while. The screen never turned on, but the lights on the soft keys below the screen did light up, so I assumed that it must be charging.
Anyway, after a while, I removed it from the outlet and switched it on, but it wouldn't boot up at all. Then I tried getting it into recovery and download mode, but it just wouldn't turn on at all. The device wasn't rooted, and I don't know what could have gone wrong that would make it like this.
I want to start developing for this device, seeing as there isn't even a decent ROM for this. I don't want to send it to the Motorola service centre; I have issues with them as it is.
I rooted the Huawei Ascend Y300, and with my new-found power i for some reason decided it was a good idea to delete the system UI...
So now the screen is just black, I can't access anything and it keeps coming up with "systemUI has stopped responding".
I tried downloading Huawei's official firmware from their website, and flashed the device, but whilst installing it said "update error" and wouldn't install it.
I can't find a support section on this site for the Motorola Fire, I wonder if Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for it?
View 2 Replies View Related2 days ago I tried to update my aunts sensation xl and told her that it is better to update its ROM from 2.3.5 to 4.0.3. So i created a google account in phone and added it in order to sync contacts....and after 2 hours, I thought that it has been synced...After upgrading device to ICS, and adding the previous account that i made before upgrading, I was waiting for contacts to restore, but nothing happend.. I opened the gmail account on PC and saw that there was no contacts. So the only way for me to restore the contacts is to find a way to restore them from Phone device. So,is there any software, either on phone or PC, to restore contacts from phone? or is there a way to have access to root folders and files of phone on PC to use a recovery program to restore "Contacts.db" file that was erased while flashing ICS?

But i wanted to run a specific game, called True Skate. But when i open it, there's a 1 sec black screen then a message saying: The Process com.trueaxis.trueskate has stopped working. I Actually want to know if i can solve this, and if its a software or a hardware problem.
Im Running Android 2.3.7, and the min requested by the app is 2.3+
A friend of mine has the xt311 motorola fire. It keeps bugging her for low disk space (the internal memory is almost full indeed, and all apps that can be moved to SD have been moved).
After some research, I read that some logs could munch too much space and that by entering the mmi code * # 9 9 0 0 # you get to move the logs to the SD. Unfortunately, the code doesn't work and returns the error "connection problem or invalid mmi code".
The other solution should have to be rooting the phone and partitioning the SD then expanding the internal memory to it with link2sd. But I read about a few problems people are running into with this method. So I would like to know if there's another way to resolve this troubling limitation of the xt311.
I own a rooted THL w8s. Today, I accidentally deleted a folder from the root menu.
The story is this one; I was trying to install an app but it would fail installation. So I read in here that if i moved the apk file in the root browser/data/app it would then get installed.
So I copied the file, went to the app folder but I couldn't find how to paste it. So I exited the app folder, long pressed it and a menu popped up that had the choice move. Unfortunately, what was moved was the app folder from the root menu and now no app is working! Worse than that, is that Google Play isn't available any more!
I have one bitmore 1010 tablet with custom rom cyanogedmod, I delete some files from root directory and now the tablet is not load android os. I see only the bitmore image in screen and nothing else.
can I restore the image from android control v1.3.1?

I have uninstalled dialler system app & restarted my mobile.. After this my mobile continuosly getting restart..
So I removed my mobile battery & performed factory reset in recovery mode..
After this I have rebooted in recovery mode & stuck with Moto logo.. I have tried many times but no use...
I deleted (accidentally) some system files, and then nothing happened, but i hit the restore or backup from setting and it went fine untill the loading screen, i mean it shut down then the first loading image fine and the next one doesn't load my system.. What can i do? (I think i know what software i shouldn't have deleted).
View 3 Replies View RelatedOK the system folder was deleted on the Impression 10. It boots but gets hung on the "Impression" logo. I hook it up to the computer, the computer recognzes it but I cannot access the files on both the SD Card nor the internal memory. Android Commander and ADB cannot access it. I have the stock system image file from leader, I also backed-up my system folder. how I can push the files from the computer to the tablet or is it too far gone?

The file still exists intact in the original directory but I cant find any option in the Eclipse ide that seems to be for restoring it. I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:
h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia
Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.
I cleaned a bunch of files with Titanium Backup and have have backups of the uninstalled apps which include my default gallery (I had another gallery app), Homescreen Launcher and some others.
By mistakenly I reset my phone to factory settings and now after resetting I cannot access any functions. Since I had deleted the launcher. I am having the files of the launcher though but since the phone has USB Debugging turned off and Google Account not set, I am not able to do anything!! Is there any update.zip kind of file to reinstall the launcher? I am using Motorola Fire XT311 which has locked bootloader so no Nandroids too !!
